Fitted in place of the broken Kelvinator
26ECB5NWas the first one I could find that fitted where the leaking Kelvinator was (Recessed into double brick wall).
Got a 26L and condensor model in place of the old 21L. Needed a drain pipe fitted which added $100 to make $2000 installed. If it wasn't for the kids I only needed 2 kettles to have a good wash and from late December to mid April I have cold showers anyway. Clothes we wash cold and the dishwasher heats its own water. Probably an unnecessary luxury at that price.
Absolute garbage hot water system!
26LLess than a year old had problems from the start which I thought were "normal" and now realise that this unit is faulty and constantly cuts out at the worse possible times!! Think freezing cold Melbourne Winter 4 degrees and you are showering then the hot water turns to freezing cold in a split second!!!
I have to go outside to the unit switch off the power wait a minute then switch on then try it again!
How is this efficient??!??
I do not recommend this unit and I have no idea how so many reviews on here are real or not?!
My 25-year-old hot water tank was WAY more efficient than this crappy system!!!
NEVER AGAIN DUX!!!!

Always Hot Continuous FlowHad the unit installed 2 weeks ago through Bunnings and love it.
The constant availability of hot water in the shower is terrific, as my wife loves LONG showers and often left me with half a shower with the old storage system.
Realistic Expectations (this is not your TV set)
Always Hot Continuous FlowI can't understand why people complain about water wastage when they first turn on the tap and it runs cold for 10 seconds. All continuous flow systems will do this regardless of brand or model. It is necessary for cold water to be flowing through the unit as it heats to prevent damage to the heat chamber, so the first few litres through are going to be cold as they have passed through the chamber before being heated. If your that concerned, try collecting the first few litres in a bucket to use on your garden, or perhaps try a different type of water heating technology, but all will waste some water before hot begins to flow.

Great system
26ECB5NGot rid of the tank and put this system in, I bought the unit from Bunnings for 1450dollars. I got a few quotes from various plumbers who didn't have a clue what they were talking about and wanted to charge over 2000 dollars for install. I checked DUX website who referred Cavana plumbing, the guy came out knew exactly what needed to be done change the the copper line to a bigger diameter. Quoted all inclusive install 1000 dollars. Very happy indeed, be very scrupulous in choosing a plumber many will do it wrong, from the various other quote I got .

Show detailscompact, cheap, pay gas only when use
26ECB6NBeen using it for a month now and everything's fine. Bought from Bunning, they have their own Dux team and take care of everything professionally and fast. It is cheap, esp when comparing with those water-tank system, the unit is compact as well and use gas only while needing hot water....
Total cost is $3,376 including installation of the new unit, removal of my old bulky hot-water system on rooftop, fix the roof-tiles holes and all clean-up

26ENA5LMoved into a house with this hot water system.
The other user here, Mikey, details my problem exactly.
The heater cuts out mid shower, turning a five minute shower into an eight minute battle with the tap handles.
Landlord sent out a plumber and apparently it's a known issue with these models. Getting a replacement installed soon. Hopefully it's under warranty.

17ENB5NIt's working just fine. No issues whatsoever. Glad we made this decision.
Show detailsW are quite happy with the system. It's early days as we only had it for 2 or so weeks. But, so far so good.
17ENB5LGiven it's only been about 2 or so weeks, we haven't had any issues so far. Didn't notice any fluctuation in temp in the kitchen or shower. Let's hope it stays this way, forever!

Happy with the product so far.
26ECB5NMost of the time the unit performs well. Except when opening the hot water tap away from the unit, it takes a lot of wait time to get hot water.
If you are moving from gas tank into continuous flow please be aware that there are lot of additional costs involved in plumbing and electrical work. Its not plug and play.
Dux Hotwater system
21ENB6NOverall, after a week of being installed I am impressed it does what it is supposed to do heat water.

Hoping to get to Many years service from the unit and it sure gives you the Hot water throughout the house quick and Constant, would definitely Recommend the 26ltr Dux unit for standard family home, hopefully support in NZ is as good as Dux Australia. Thanks again for the great unit Jason.

I've got a 26ECB5L which would not ignite at times(getting frequent now). I would power it off at the powerpoint for a few seconds then turn it on again. It would start working again but after a few uses it would repeat the problem. Water flow is more than sufficient, new gas bottle and No blockage on inlet filter. Any ideas for a fix?

Can the system be operational without the temp controller? Had nothing but trouble with current systems controller and we never changed the temp anyway
, thanks
Hi there,
Thanks for your question.
All our Gas Continuous Flow systems will operate without a controller, the controllers are an optional accessory.
