Not so sure about this possible waste of money. Sure it has great reviews but, after spending several hundred dollars on this I now need a 15a to 10a socket adapter!! Why? Cigweld does not do this to their customer but bossweld thinks they know better, sure it's to handle the load but why would you not inform the customer upon purchase ? So now… Read more

have to go and either return this useless equipment or spend yet more money on an adapter for one stinking item... I think I'll go cigweld as they don't screw their customers over with something that should be easily fixed with the adapter already Included in its excessive pricing for this product. Poor customer relations there really, you spend $600+ on a welder, get back to workshop to start work only to find you now have to go back out to spend even more money on a f#&$ing adapter!!!! Cigweld the way to go I reckon until bossweld does something to better this . Adapter included in excessively over priced welder.

Better than expected – Does exactly what it’s supposed to do, if you are competent in welding you will have no issue in setting up and producing quality welds. Show details ·  1

A very useful and versatile machine, way above my skill level – I use this welder for the usual small jobs around home. earlier this year it developed an intermittent problem where part of the time it wouldn't weld. And days it would. Eventually I had to contact Dynaweld, from the start they were friendly and helpful. In the end I send the welder to them the problem was sorted and I now have my welder back and working. So thank you Dynaweld team. Show reply

"this machine has stood the, TEST OF TIME" – MST 185 Mig/Tig/Stick Welder Purchase of the BOSSWELD MST 185 Mig/Stick/Tig Welder; October of 2022. Purchasing the item at Bunnings Palmerston North New Zealand and having the consumables at hand has made a huge impact on work exceeding etc. To inform you on this tough little machine having to cope with the load and terrain it has been in… Read more ·  1

situations exceeding its capacity, being part of a variety of positions having to maximise the output of such as having to use any of the three processes. This has not just fulfilled the expectation of a handyman, qualified Engineer, but Industrial load and being an exemplary part of not having to use an Industrial or Heavy duty cycle mig welder, this has replaced the heavy handling of such. For the use of your quality given and my Engineering standard, this machine has stood the "TEST OF TIME"

From odd jobs to trailer chassis’s- perfect does all handyman tool – I decided to go with boss weld after my brother in law has had his for at least 10 years on a farm, where it doesn’t get much love, but sees plenty of use. Glad I did, it’s a great little unit that works well despite me and my “learning” to weld. Would definitely recommend it, and in fact already have.  Show details ·  1

Dont expect any after sales service – I had multiple Bossweld welders at my business. All went well for the first few months. Loved the product until we had an issue with our one welder. I immediately got in touch with Dynaweld to get some support. Even sent a video of the issue. I got an initial response saying that the video will be sent through to the technician, but no response… Read more

after that. I followed up a few times in the following days but was just ignored. I told them that my business cannot afford the down time and I am desperate to get it resolved. Again, just got ignored. I then emailed them a week later saying how disappointed I am and that we as a business had to move away from using Bossweld since they have zero after sales trouble shooting support. Still - just ignored. I can really see how little they care for their customers. As a result, all my Bossweld welders went on TradeMe. Good riddance. Thanks for not having our back when we really needed you... Special thanks to [Name Removed] from Dynaweld sales. I rate your service an absolute zero my friend.

no service from Bossweld – I bought a Bossweld M 150 from bunnings "as seen " off the shelf. without a drive roller, no problem. Bunnings don't sell drive rollers. called Dynaweld here in Perth and it took a couple of phone calls before they answered. First two times it just rang out. Lady on the phone couldn't help but gave me the Boss's mobile number. called … Read more

Works great for price and a home handyman! – I purchased this welder from Bunnings and have used it to weld multiple jobs ranging from 10mm plate to 1mm plate. I am a boilermaker and can’t fault this welder, sure it is not a top end welder but for its price and a home welder it is very good! Only fault I found with it was it has a quick connect gas connection built in but they don’t… Read more

supply you a connector and Bunnings don’t sell them, they do provide a hose clamp. Sorry but that is absurd!

Additionally the hose that comes with the welder is maybe 500mm long, doesn’t give much room to move welder if you use a D size gas bottle. Again Bunnings don’t sell this type of hose.

Overall really like the unit, just be aware when setting up gas welding you will most likely want to make a trip to a welding supplier for welding hose and a quick connect.

Bossweld MST185 – The Bossweld MST185 made by Dynaweld is a fantastic welder for the home workshop. The unit enable welding using mig, stick and tig functions the box comes with all you need to get started. It has a DC tig function only and states that you can't weld aluminum but I have been able to overcome this by using helium in place of argon (Aluminium only)
