Love it except for the smell – I have been using this product for a month and a similar product for 10 years. I like the way it cleans but the chemical smell that it leaves on clothes takes some getting used to. The package says that it has a lavender scent but it isn't noticeable. colored and whites are terrific. I raise parrots and so it frequently necessary for me to spot both colored and whites occasionally and I often cut up their fresh fruit and veggies and towels with no special treatment and I love this product. I’m telling everyone about how great it is ...I do admit to having trouble opening the eggs though. No allergy problems

The emperors new clothes – I have tested this myself with 3 white cloths I rubbed on the dirty patio. Washed them all 1 at a time in the washing machine. 1 with detergent. 1 with the egg. 1 with water. I found the detergent worked best and the egg and water gave the same results. Not as good but not terrible. I would like to see some scientific proof that it does something other than bash the clothes about.

Did not get out even small stains – No suds as on HSN. Came without the white egg and packets so sending another. If no better than colored will probably send both back. Not worth the trouble. Water does the same job on the clothes. I tested it!!!

Do not waste your time – Do not waste your time on this product, it is not possible to clean clothes without enzymes such as those found in detergent that remove stains and odors fully from soiled clothes. hot water to make the product work properly, well hot water not only ruins clothes, sets blood stains, and also raises electricity bills but also any wash cycle just using water without the product will partially wash clothes because water in itself is a cleaning agent that removes some dirt and cleans, but not fully like laundry detergents. So this product only cleans because the water is doing a partial job, not because these do any magic. People this is the biggest household SCAM of the 21st century, do not waste your money!

Also the 5 star ratings are either ignorant reviews without knowledge into this product because they did not do their research or they fell for the scam, or because most of them are paid to rate 5 stars and give best ratings because they received the product for free or were paid, which you will see a lot across the internet.

Lipstick stains gone – I just did a load of whites, included was a white mask with about 3 lipstick stains on it. Out came the wash and no stains on the mask. I bought the fresh linen one, couldn't really smell it on the wash after, but they do smell clean. Show details

Best thing since sliced bread – I was given the eco egg for whites and coloured, and wasn’t convinced it would work.. well let me tell you my clothes come out clean, even my gardening or renovation gear. Excellent Product – As I have sensitive skin and sinus allergies, products like this are ideal for me. I also add vinegar and bicarbonate soda to my washing, both natural products. For those of you worried about the smell from the pellets, you can add eucalyptus oil, as I do with my bedsheets, or some other fragrance. Love this! – I've been using this for about six months, doing at least one load of laundry a day. My laundry looks and smells clean. My towels seem to stay fresh longer than with traditional detergent. I'm very happy with this product!

Great saving device – Makes clothes soft, clean, towels, t shirts sportswear bedding you name it all comes out clean with no added detergent maybe the odd softner, white vinegar , lemon juice, lavender scent.these just my personnel prefences, but egg is great on its own too. Great money saver great for environment

X3 Teens Works Fantastic – I have x3 Teens and I love this product gets boy smells out of socks and brings them crisp white. While I notice the smell on clothes while wet you can't smell after clothes have hung on line which is perfect in my opinion. Have found so long as you don't add detergents to clothes with egg you don't get slimy film on clothes ie, fab softener, disenfect ant etc...

Works great for me! – I have been using the EcoEgg for about 2 months with great results. I have one for white clothes and one for dark clothes. One thing i did notice, you have to read the directions!

wouldn't have to buy any detergent for a long time! That was a BIG mistake! On the sixth day, I broke out in a terrible rash all over my body - similar to measles but itched worse then when I had the real ones! After I realized the reason, I contacted the company to make them aware! Asked me a few questions - after another email did admit there must have been something in the fragrance that was added to the pellets that caused the reaction and would be sending me a refund! A few days later, I got another email saying they didn't realize I lived in the US, so wouldn't be able to refund HSN, however, would offer me an exchange for another one of their products! I replied that I did NOT want anymore of their products! Haven't heard anymore! They are located in the UK - the company -(HSN), is in the US. I want to warn people if they are planning to purchase this item, better think twice! That is your decision!

ecoegg not working – I have no evidence of detergent in clear water after agitating "egg" In a bowl of water. It isn't working for me! Ok so I would not recommend this product because it does not work. I have notified hello@ecoegg.com to express my concern. As of this writing I have not received a response.

very disappointed – I was looking forward to not having to buy soap powder again but my washing just isn't clean looking. My whites are dull and all the stains are still in after washing. Tea towels are shocking, too awful to hang them on the line! very disappointed in this product, shall start buying detergent again

there were no dark tourmaline pellets. There were 8 pks of mineral pellets with whitner and 8 pks of mineral pellets for dark colors and only one pack of tourmaline pellets in the box upon arrival. So, I can only use the colored egg for approximately 72 washes. The rest of the box is useless.....Since my review I have contacted ecoegg customer service and received a prompt reply. The problem will be resolved. I found the product itself to do everything it said it would do and have changed my rating from one star to five stars......

Caused greasy looking stains – I started using this product after it sat for a month. After about 20 washes I started getting greasy smears on my clothes which I can not get out. Very upsetting since the are on all of my hospital scrubs!! I can not get the egg open to try and put more product in it. Seems like the company is not responding to any of the post. Not sure what to do at this point since it only has 30 day refund. Very disappointed.☹

The damn thing is way too hard to open unless you have gorilla hands – I just spent 20 min trying to open the egg to no avail. Not user friendly haven't even been able to test effectiveness. Think it's going to be a dog toy.

get a brand new laundry detergent smell every time i do a load of washing which is really great for breaking monotony, that is if my clothes even come out clean at all. I'm assuming you only get the amount of washes advertised if you follow the instruction perfectly, but in doing that my clothing would still reek of sweat and spilled alcohol.

After receiving this product (little over a fortnight ago) i have had to do 5 separate loads of laundry, three times to test it with the 3 temperature settings, and the remaining 2 times to actually wash my clothes, considering the washing machine is coin operated it has costed me $15 dollars to receive this gift and try to get some use out of it, far from the original cost of the product but still a waste of time,water and money.

Now i normally don't write reviews but this product is completely ridiculous and hope someone reads what i have to say before rushing to grab their phone for this amazing offer that they saw on their favourite morning talk show. If you wish to smell like you just got home from a hard day of work in the middle of summer when its July than i would recommend using this product long term, but would also recommend staying away from garlic as the smell will permeate your clothes until they receive a proper wash with real detergent.

My condolences to those who purchased this product with their own money, and my deepest apologies to my mother for buying me this product thinking it would save money.

Ecoegg tube of stain remover, great product. Also I wash using the rinse cycle then spin cycle. Clothes are clean; they don't have to go through so many cycles on the washing machine. I really love this product and have been using it now for two and a half years. Would not go back to soap powder ever.

Ecoegg is a dud – After watching the demonstration on TVSN I thought wow! I have to get one. Overall a disappointing purchase and I would not recommend it if you want nice clean washing which is what I normally achieve using ALDI's Alamat liquid detergent. I really wish that I had read the reviews before purchasing.

I am also disappointed with TVSN, thought they would have tested this English product more thoroughly before offering it to their loyal customers.

the washing, there is still dirty water to get rid of. I also put fabric conditioner in my final rinse. I love it and wouldn't change it.

Dreadful – Purchased the product and am very disappointed. I have real issues with laundry detergents and my sensitive skin. The Egg does not remove stains especially for the average sporting family. Total waste of money. Wished I had read reviews prior to purchasing.

First time use – I am using Ecoegg for the first time as I write. My first load of dark clothes came out OK although it does not smell linen fresh. Am doing a load of towels now. The jury is still out at this stage.

Fantastic Product – I have been using Ecoegg for a couple of years. It is the best thing since sliced bread. It is way better than any washing powder, everything comes out so clean.

bought this from TVSN broke after using it a few times did not last long – Complained to TVSN after this product broke after using it a few times. Does not work – My laundry does not come out clean, stains are still in fabric. Even light ones. Whites have now turned grey after using for 3 months. Save yourself money and don't purchase. Would never use again, gone back to liquid This is a total disgrace to claim it works

confident about my laundry with the the EcoEgg, and I spend a lot of extra time applying stain removal products. This increases the cost of each load (so, 5 cents per wash is unrealistic for the average consumer). I rely on Rain water for most of the year, and only need the Mains water in summer. So, I don't believe it is the water quality. The good qualities include the reduced rinsing required. I use the fragrance-free egg and was happy not to need to use the rinse-cycle for beach towels, sheets, track suits, etc. They line dry nice and soft without rinsing, and doesn't result in itchy skin. So, it does save me money on reduced water and electricity. I just wish in cleaned better!

Ecoegg – Overall, I am happy with Ecoegg. My son has sensitive skin (eczema) and since using the Ecoegg his skin has improved hugely, even skin sensitive washing powders failed in that dept. doesn't get all the sweat smell and heavy duty stains out. It doesn't get the grubby marks out (eg tomato based stains, dirt from playing outside) so those things I will either save and wash with powder, or use the stain remover. I didn't actually take much notice at the time, but after I washed my son's clothes in washing powder, even with a double rinse, his eczema flared up again. The stain remover works well but it is time consuming and I think a tube would be used quite quickly, it is a shame they don't have a spray stain remover. All in all I will continue to use it as it does save money and I am thrilled with my son's skin improvement. I am now only using powder for 1-2 washes a wk (gym gear & workwear) compared to 6 or 7 times a wk for the whole family. Overall pretty happy with and I have recommended it. Works well, excellent for sensitive skin. Doesn't remove heavy stains or sweaty smell
