Don’t paint these heaters ! – Brought three of these heaters for bedroom and they were ideal for a number of years. Brought them knowing we’d repaint the walls of the bedrooms and paint the heater to match. One has a thermostat option , but it really didn’t provide a stable temperature range and the UI isn’t great.It sort of worked , but to close to the unit to be effective. However , last year we redecorated and painted the heaters to match walls. Big mistake, after a week or so of having the heaters painted they started to smell quite bad. It’s become obvious that you shouldn’t paint them with wall paint and you can’t keep the bedroom doors closed to keep heat in.
So unfortunately our three heaters are now going to landfill, complete waist of money and it should be clear that you shouldn’t paint these.

Just caught fire – Our Econo-heat Panel Heater Model0607 just caught fire at the fuse part where the temp and timer setting is. I am trying to contact the company but can not seem to find them. Are they even still running?
