Eenee Compostables

Beware! These nappies have changed! – I loved the concept of these nappies and the collection and compost service, but the last batch of these I received were no good at all!! They now leak EVERY time we use them, so they are pretty much useless. If you can get old stock go for it-they are great, but beware of the new ones that come in the cardboard box. (I also noticed that they are… Read more
now made in china). I contacted the company about this problem, but so far no response, which is disappointing. Everything, until they changed! Leak every time, expensive
Great Eco Nappy Option – We have used eenee compostables since our 3 m.o. daughter was born. There was no issue keeping runny newborn poo contained and the small size is still leak free even when she sleeps 10 hours at night. They are easy to use and the different coloured belts are very cute. We did find that the belts shrank when we washed them in the washing machine,… Read more
and she needed to move up to the medium size belt pretty quickly (big baby though!).
We chose to use Eenees because we had decided against using cloth, for various reasons, but still wanted an alternative to plastic disposables. We have easy access to commercial composting for appropriate disposal, which may be tricky outside major metropolitan areas. They are expensive, but a great product and our hope is that by supporting Eenee we are doing our bit to help them become cheaper in the long term. Hopefully they will catch on so that both the product and disposal become more widely accessible. Great, functional nappy that does not contribute to landfill. Expensive.
Everyone should use them – I can't believe that majority of people still use huggies etc These Nappies should be offered in more shops and especially supermarkets. Coles recently decided to stop stocking naty nature babycare Nappies (which are not 100% biodegradable but still a better choice) due to low weekly sale numbers. If these nappies are take off the shelves than eenees have no chance. I see backward steps only and it is very sad. 100% biodegradable
Good – We've been very happy with the Eenees. We were given a supply as a present and were dubious at first but have quickly become converts. We used to have so many leaks with other, supermarket brands but not with these. The belt does a great job of preventing those special poo up the back explosions! I'm not sure how expensive the are (as they were a… Read more
present) but if they are comparable to similar enviro products, I'd absolutely reccommend them to anyone. Catches poo better than any other nappies we've tried - never had a leak!
Very absorbent.
Very environmentally friendly disposable (no chemical nasties or plastics) and it is also Australian made!
Can be composted commercially (if you like in the right area - sadly, we don't)
Easy to use, fit baby really well and grow with them due to belted design. Be careful not to get the gripper belt dirty - we had a few minor poo incidents but luckily we had two belts!
The outer is not completely waterproof so they need to be changed slightly more regularly than Huggies for example to ensure it doesn't soak through.
Love them! – Love these disposable nappies (using size 'medium' for 2 weeks). We use cloth nappies on our 1 year old most of the time, but prefer disposables at night and when out of the house. Before, we were using Naty disposables which aren't 100% biodegradable (plastic tabs etc). Not sure how eenee compostables would go on a newborn (i.e. breast fed… Read more
poo), but they definitely keep the wee and harder-poos of a 1 year old in check - haven't had one leak. I would love to have our used nappies commercially composted, but the service isn't offered in rural Victoria and am not dedicated enough to compost at home. However, the complete absence of plastic makes me feel good about landfill (every little bit helps right?!)! No plastic! 100% compostable/biodegradable. Work great! Price (a little more expensive, approx 88c per nappy), no commercial composting service in rural areas, only three sizes.
At long last, a company that can tell you the truth and stick to the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – I researched and researched the choice of nappies that i would like to use for my precious little girl, and i am ever so grateful that i wasn't afraid to question all of the companies who claim their products as 'biodegradable', i asked for written proof from independent testers on products, and i even called Compost Australia to verify that they… Read more
have endorsed this nappy and if they had done testing on other 'biodegradable' nappies. And Eenee Compostables was the only one that passed the test. And bonus, they are Australian made, so even carbon miles is even less than imported products. Thank you Eenee Team, for being patient with me with all the questions i had, and being so wonderful in answering them. A company who can tell the truth, and can back it up! Australian made! The only nappy in the world that is Compostable!! expensive, but green products are expensive, if they are made with the true product.
