Nothing like trying to change a crying baby at 2am only to fumble on which way to put the nappy on. Absolute headache of a product. Not recommended.

just was not absorbing) and she's been fine too.
So a few things, my eldest was a water skoller. She would guzzle it like it was the best thing ever. Now she has slowed down and I think she's no longer flooding her nappies anymore. My other daughter only does little wee's so she's had no dramas with the nappies.
Thing I learned, they aren't as quickly absorbent as other nappies - so if your kid floods, then it may leak. Especially in the car where there is pressure from seat belt etc.
Original review: We got the trial pack and they were great, so we ordered a subscription, but for some reason these ones leak so much. I literally just put a brand new nappy on our daughter, she squatted and peed and it leaked onto the floor. We've also been having leaks at night too. Maybe she is between sizes? But I'm sadly not going to be continuing with them. I really wanted to love them too as they are more sustainable.
Update 5 months later: tried the L (the size she was wearing in this photo) again. They fit perfectly and she leaked in the car seat on our way to dinner. When we changed her, the nappy was not that wet, so it's not absorbing. I'd like to think we got a faulty batch and while I recommend koalas support highly, this product is less absorbent than cloth. I REALLY wanted to like these as I hate using plastic disposables.

honest about things from the start then the leaking nappies wouldn't have been so much of a problem:
"My guess would be that a lot of these newer reviews from this year are fake. Since they changed their original (and brilliant by the way) nappies, they are now worthless. They leak without fail between 1-3 hours & every time for an overnight. Buy these if you want to be constantly changing & washing your baby’s clothes or sleep sack from leaking wee. They tired to be sneaky with how they covered up the poor product change & pretended everything was fine, and that it was a size issue, plus also that they ‘fixed’ the issue which never happened, and that’s why I’m happy to go on the offensive here & warn other parents."

occasional leak through in the night. It was around that time they said they were doing a redesign because of that anyways. Yet, our main problem was our subscription and the very unreliable shipping.
Initially our subscription was like clockwork - always arrived reliably with Australia Post. Yes, I know that Aus Post are not considered reliable everywhere but at least they provide updates and the option to send to a secure locker if you're not likely to be home to receive it, and provide a timeframe to expect your delivery - which is greatly appreciated when working around a family and baby's schedule. Then we started getting random couriers which provided no updates or notification of delivery until well past when it had arrived. I came home one day to see my nappy box plain as day on the front step visible to not only our road but the main road which runs alongside our court too. There is a spot to the side of the entry which reduces visibility greatly by the way - so it was not left in a discreet spot.
I was open and upfront with customer service, explained that we have been victims of porch pirating before. I was then given repeated promises to have my instructions and preferred courier used for delivery - a big part of why you would choose to have a subscription - but then it would happen again and again. Then the excuses started - them updating/seeing it on my profile, it being printed on the labels but the instructions often not followed.
It has been an inconvenience to have this disruption time and time again, then the uncertainty of knowing when or disrupting my day awaiting a parcel when some things cannot be changed or rearranged at the last minute to rush home.
It's going to be a matter of time before we do have a box stolen at this rate. I have emailed customer service every time that this has happened and after a year (now November 2025) the best they can do is 'oh well' we can't guarantee that the shipping instructions are followed.
I did request compensation previously as I have been a loyal customer and have had this issue numerous times for nearing 12 months. In November 2024 I emailed with first issue with courier change and requested then to change back to Australia Post and it has been an ongoing issue every month or so since. So I do not feel as though my loyalty is very valued as a result given multiple assurances have not resulted in preventing this error. You guessed it - compensation denied.
The product itself is great, but the other half of the equation of having a subscription is delivery and having a reliable service which in my experience now rates very poorly.
So be prepared to waste A LOT of time chasing them up if having a reliable consistent service is what you are seeking!
Stockists can't come soon enough so that I can try for a reliable supply of these nappies elsewhere.

Great nappies! Superior to other popular brands we've tried. These nappies have better coverage to prevent blow outs. Also a fan of the eczema association endorsement as a sufferer of eczema myself I am always aiming to try the best eco and low allergen products, especially since cloth nappies were not an option for me. The subscription arrangement is great especially as a new Mum it's one less thing to worry about too. When dealing with customer service they have been quick to reply and make adjustments to orders - even in regards to chosen delivery service to which I am very thankful for. Big fan of Comfy Koalas for over 6 months now. Highly recommend giving them a go!

Love these nappies and this company. Their customer service has always been stellar, I love that they deliver to your door. I've been using their nappies (alongside reusables) since my little one was born. They are so soft, we have never had blowouts with them and no leaking through at night. their wipes are great too.

TIME and pee would soak through the nappy. I don't know what changes they made but they've been nothing short of a disaster. I ended up unsubscribing and telling all my friends not to subscribe (before, I had been raving about them).

Doesn't not even contain wee. I was looking for a nappy that contained poo leaking at the back but this nappy performs terribly on all accounts. Visible wee droplets on my baby's skin after a single wee and wee leaking out the leg holes. Furthermore, definitely does not contain poos. Yes, the size was correct for my baby's weight and fit as well as other better performing nappies. Very disappointed. Show details
I’ve been a loyal customer since my baby was a newborn and never had any issues until the recent nappy design change. All I wanted was some guidance or at least a way to return the unopened packs for a refund. Instead I’ve been met with silence.

Nappies and wipes are great quality. The nappies are very absorbent and the wipes are nice and thick so not having to use multiple for the one wipe. Incredible customer service.
Very helpful customer service - organised a return and refund for me when I ordered the wrong size. The nappies leak more than non-biodegradable brands like Huggies but is probably the best you can get for an eco nappy

Ever since we switched to Comfy Koalas my son hasn't had any nappy rashes. I love that these nappies are free from toxins and also better for the planet. We will keep buying those until our nappy journey comes to an end.

be aware the newborn size are on the generous side, so it was about a month before we were fitting them well. Free size exchanges are easy if bubs has a growth spurt mid subscription too so you always have access to the right size. They really are a genuinely amazing product. LOVE!

Not only did they hear my concern but they actually took on board my recommendation to go back to using Australia Post because it was a quicker and more reliable service to my more rural area. I also love that they sell the nappy pants in a relatively low weight range. My son has always been on the smaller side but we transitioned to nappy pants early because they had his size and I was over the moon. I have never found any supermarket ranges that offer such a wide range of nappy pants. They make toileting a moving toddler so much easier. Highly recommend this brand.

Ordered these nappies in preparation of pregnancy leave during my pregnancy, bub is now 8 months and we have been so happy with them !
