Honestly an nightmare compared to other QV products – Honestly, QV is one of my favourite skincare brands for my eczema-sensitive skin, but this product was really a nightmare I applied this cream onto my eczema one night, but to my horror, it only made it more itchy. (eczema often gets naturally more irritated and itchier at night due to cortisol levels dropping, but this cream MADE my skin… Read more

itchy.) I had been using this cream for around 3–5 days at the time, but it failed to moisturise my skin, almost having no effect on my skin at all. As a QV customer, I am honestly really disappointed in this product- I heavily don't recommend it for those who have sensitive or eczema skin at all.

Light, fast absorbing – I had an episode of eczema all over my arms, which prompted me to search moisturisers suitable for eczema prone skin. This product came out on top of the search list. With the price tag of $23, I was slightly hesitant, but the lure of relieving my eczema triumphed. It offered slight relief to my worst or flare ups. But then I learned if I used… Read more

it in combination of Dermaid 0.5%, the relief is almost instant, and it will last for a few hours at a time. So I would wash my arms with moisturising body wash morning and night before applying this mixed in with DermAid. But be aware that the Niacinamide in the product will produce a slight sting.

By itself the effect on eczema is probably minimal. But as a body moisturiser, it is light and fast absorbing. I am someone who absolutely loaths moisturising my body in summer and this had been a lifesaver in the hotter months. I don't have to stand around in star shape for at least 10 minutes for the body moisturiser to dry completely. Best bit - in the case when you actually do over apply, it doesn't get greasy. My skin loves it and it has been really nice and smooth since I started using it. So it will be a summer staple for me!

Please be aware – It irritated my daughters skin and made her eczema worse. At first I thought it was something else and then cleared it with assistance of antibiotic cream. I just reapplied it and instantly she started scratching again. I had to wash it off and give her antihistamines. It also stings badly if there is the smallest bit of open skin you can’t even really see. Show details

Excellent after shower moisturiser – Bought this after hearing an ABC science show report re properties of ceramides. Have been using it on my arms and legs after showering. Has made a huge difference to my skin. Have only had 2 minor dermatitis episodes since starting to use it. My 83 year old mother is now using it with similar results. Show details

Irritates the skin-very disappointed – Second the first reviewer, this cream stings. Although it's made for very dry eczema prone skin, which can be itchy and scratched, this cream stings. My 2 YO screamed everytime she saw this scream and then I tried it on myself and realised why she refused to let me put it on her. To be fair, there's a caution on the bottle warning using it against broken skin. I had just assumed it'd work like sorbolene or dermeze which doesn't sting at all.

Very Stingy on the face – I just saw this new product in Chemist Warehouse and though to give it a try since this is cheaper than it's counter brand Cetaphil (https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/63848/cetaphil-restoraderm-moisturiser-295ml). It's made for eczema sufferers as well so why not try it since I love using the QV intensive moisturising body wash. On the first… Read more

few tries, it stung, and thought its just because I'm using a new product and I'd get used to it. It's been a few months now and it's still stinging on application and it would go away.

I also noticed that it would require 2 or more applications throughout the day to keep my face moisturised compared to the Cetaphil that I used regularly (1 application for the entire day).

I wouldn't recommend this product. The price difference isn't that much as well compared to the Cetaphil facial moisturiser.
