Save yourself the headache – DO NOT BUY FROM EKO TV You may have noticed many reviews of poor experiences with this brand, and that IS NOT a coincidence. Having purchased my first EKO TV in the past three years (mind, not knowing anything about the brand at all) has been both a delight and a great disappointment. The TV we owned was 85 inches, as it had a good price tag… Read more
for $1399 and was advertised by reliable sources.
For what it's worth, it worked well for the most part... but it did have issues where the monitor would force shut down on its own and a clunky UI but aside from those, it worked as you'd expected from an inexpensive Smart TV. Like what other buyers have reported, my TV had also stopped working after 3 years since its purchase. In my case, it stopped working on its own after attempting to scroll through the channels and now the monitor only shows a black screen whenever we'd turn it on.
I've attempted to reach out to EKO's customer service, and to my own bafflement, was an unpleasant experience. This is perhaps the most recent experience of having witnessed a customer service so incompetent, to the extent of receiving spelling errors, and upon realising my own messages of concern were being blatantly ignored in favour for seeking out for my approvals and details is rather demeaning. (This only continued to solidify after being offered a repair fee that costed OVER HALF of my initial purchase)
To all future protentional buyers, save yourself the headache! Your time and money are better off with an established brand that actually cares about its consumers and customer's good will. And if you are truly considering getting one of these cheap TVs, please go into it with caution.
85" and dying a slow death – Picture quality is on par Roth other cheap smart tv's. Problem arise after about 2 years as it seems the processor starts to fail. Show details

No picture after 15 months – I like the OS of the tv as it's the same as my LG tv. Had this tv for 15 months so it's out of warranty. Turned it on and there's no picture. Sound is there and channels can be changed but no picture. Contacted customer support via email and they suggested 3 ways to reset the tv. None of these worked so our next course of action is to go back to… Read more
Big W and see what they can do. I think that Australian Consumer Rights say that a tv should last longer than 15 months. Update. EKO said that because its 3 months out of warranty I will need to get it repaired at my expense. Big W have offered a full refund if i return the tv. So guess what I'll be doing! Oh and I'll never be buying an EKO tv again.

Great – I ordered a replacement part for my 85 inch eko tv, but received the wrong one in the first place but then the company finally sent the right one, thank you. Show 4 replies
For the size and price I cant complain! – First off, Let me clarify a huge rumour that surrounds these WebOS TV's as people seem to be confused! No, They are not manufactured by LG! WebOS is LG's software so yes, the software is LG's but that's it. Same as when you buy an HP laptop, the OS is Windows, not HP so don't get confused that this is a cheap LG TV similar to Ffalcon and TCL! … Read more
Now, about the TV....
The picture quality is actually great for a no-name TV which is essentially what this is. I can not complain about the vibrant colours or the dark black. This TV actually, in my opinion, is actually underpriced for that I paid for it. Now, is it perfect? NO! Honestly, the TV cant keep up with GTA5 at all and becomes almost like a slide show. Using inbuilt apps and free to air TV, you can barely notice this though so once again, I am happy with it. I don't expect to have the worlds best TV for free. I paid $1399 for an 85" smart TV. Have a look for one the same size and tell me how much it costs? Cheapest I can find on Appliances online is $1k more so Just factor that in with your expectations!
HDMI's all work well and so does the ARC. I have s Sony AV system set up and the Magic remote controls the volume on the amp as it should. When powering the TV on the amp also turns on so I don't have to have 2 remotes set up. WiFi is also perfect, seems to have a much better range than the Chiq TV I have in my room which I have had to install a Wifi Extender for. Remote feels and works well like it should considering I am sure it's an LG part as it's the same remote that my actual LG TV has and even has the LG logo hidden near the batteries.
The WebOS software is absolutely amazing and is easy to navigate and use. You have access to the WebOS content store which has every app you will ever need.
Now for the drawbacks!
The sound is absolutely horrific however, most people will have some sort of soundbar or AV system set up as we do. If you don't have a soundbar or something, be prepared to be offended by the sound quality which dates back to gramophones! It's tinny, scratchy and just absolutely rubbish but thankfully, soundbars and external speakers exist to fix this unlike Ayonz
Ayonz is the importer and service centre for EKO products. They have amongst the worst aftersales service you will ever experience. They service many brands, one of which I have bought before and reviewed. My experience with Ayonz is the issues I had with a smart TV that you could not watch Netflix or any other apps on without experiencing VHS quality and by that I mean a Video cassette player that had been used a million times and had a very old & dirty tape put in it. The quality was so poor that I refused to use the apps and Ayonz answer was for me to get a chrome cast! Really, Your answer to your TV that didn't function as advertised was to "get a chrome cast"? My second experience is with this TV. I called and asked if there was anything I could do to get the quality to work better with my Xbox. I was told that someone would call me back. Well, it's been 4 months and no call back as of yet! Ayonz has also breached copyright laws when they stamped the brand "Blaupunkt" On TV's when they did not have the correct permissions to. This since has been rectified and they now have the rights in Australia to use the Blaupunkt brand but there was a previous time when they didn't.
As I always state, Before buying something, work out who the service centre is and do some research. This can save you a headache. I personally would not have bought this TV knowing Ayonz was the service centre however there is nothing out there that is even close to being this price and this size so I had no choice. Thankfully, So far, so good!
Not worth it – I bought this tv in June for $1400 plus shipping. Upon watching I noticed faint lines through it so contacted support who told me i have been approved refund or replacement and to contact bigw for replacement or refund. So after contacting bigw they said tv had to be assessed first for a decision to refund or replace. Be cause of the tv size… Read more
they would have to collect and assess wherever they take it so I would be without a tv for God knows how long so I thought what's a few lines. Now another two months have past and the screen is beginning to flicker all the time and the power won't switch back on unless I turn it off and on at the wall switch. I don't understand why the tv had to be taken away to be assessed when the manufacturer had already approved the refund or replacement. Why not have someone come assess it in my home rather than take it away and risk them damaging it. Not worth your money I am really disappointed with this product and am now out of pocket wish I had of spent a bit more on a better trusted brand.
Hi Ash
Appologies for this experience , so to protect your privacy could you please email us on info@ayonz.com
Horrible! – I have three Eko TV’s and this 85inch is the absolute worst TV I’ve ever bought. The picture quality is absolutely terrible and it’s like the picture can’t keep up with what’s being displayed. Doesn’t matter if it’s a DVD or live TV the clarity is disgraceful. I can swap out any other TV in the house into the lounge room and they all work normally but this one just seems to struggle to provide true colour or clarity. Show details
Worked for 30seconds – Brand new set it up turned it on. Worked for 30 seconds before the screen went black and the sound still works! Tried everything to try and fix but nothing is working. Show details

It is a great television and the magic remote works well – This television has many features and the setup is very easy. If there is a downside you can’t add apps which if that was possible this television would be great. Before I purchased the television I read some not so good reviews but I am at a loss why in my experience with the television. Show details
So far so good – Have always purchased Sony TV's but I decided on a whim to replace the 75" Hisense tv in the media room we rarely use. Really surprised how easy the set-up went. It has webos system which is super easy to use. It's basically the same as an lg tv with a much lower cost. Sound is average but have a great Yahama surround sound system to complement… Read more
the tv.
Pleasantly surprised for a super cheap tv. Standard tv is ok but hd channels are much better and Netflix on 4k is awesome.
