Referring by Meriton Property Manager ( the rude one) [Name Removed] of this ridiculous electrical company! Overcharged us for $605 just to change a LED light from bathroom. Which I found out the same job from another company by a Chinese guy only cost $150 ! So ridiculous and bad service, avoid this company

recorded contract but proceeded anyway. I should have listened to my gut. As soon as the money was transacted I was informed that their own vans were all out on jobs but that their partner service Metropolitan would come out instead.

They did, and within the specified time, OK so far..... the very young sparky made a show of checking out my circuit box and then gave me a quote for $949!!! I confirmed that the wiring was already in place and all he had to do was install a new alarm but he assured me that was the price. Needless to say I did not proceed with Metropolitan but I was out of pocket for $140 + to "Electrician Near Me' for setting up a job on their behalf!!

In the end I got the job done, quickly, cleanly and professionally by a local company for $264 incl GST!!

Reasonable price to turn up - ridiculous quote to do anything – Have to prepay for someone to turn up ok. Electrician turns up takes a look and then quotes $1149 to do up to an hour of “fact finding..” not fix the issue. Not reasonable way to charge - would not recommend

the street since 9.49pm. I explained the issue and they took a look at the circuit board, they did nothing else. They said they would do a 1 hour fault finding inspection for $1,149 with no guarantee of finding the fault. We said no thanks. The electrician appeared dishonest and not trustworthy. I would not recommend anyone contacting this company, even for an emergency. I was so disappointed with the experience, they just seem to prey on the unfortunate.

non-refundable inspection and quote fee of $141.90. He said that in most cases they could repair the fault on the spot if the quoted price was accepted. Incidentally, they advertised that they charge the same rate at all hours but in actual fact it is always a quoted total price rather than labour and parts.

An Electrician from Metropolitan Plumbing & Electrical arrived at 10.30pm. He advised that he did not carry the parts required and wasn't sure if he would be able to get a price for the parts on the Sunday but would arrange a quote as soon as possible. I was expecting a phone call but as it turned out, 4 emails arrived late on Saturday night from Electrician Near Me (receipt) and Gas & Plumbing Australia which included a quote from Metropolitan for $4,259 and no indication of when the work could be carried out. I don't know if the three businesses involved are connected but it seems that they all get a bite of the cherry.

On the Monday morning, we contacted another electrical company, ESS (Essential Service Solutions) who completed the work by late the same afternoon for a total cost of $953.90. We were very happy with their prompt service and especially the price!
