Poor design for recirculation – Brought this unit because it had a recirculation option but carbon charcoal filters don't fit, the power wires are in the way making one of the filters very hard to install and one of the filter will not sit flush. If you need a range hood to be recirculated I would not recommend this one.

Great – Nice and neat, slides in out of the way, can use it for light at night without the fan, or use the fan without the light. I chose this over models that have glass in part of the hood, as I felt the glass would create a lot of cleaning & never look clean. I also looked for where the light & fan switches are located & how easy they are to use - some models I found difficult to reach the switches easily.

The mesh is easy to remove & wash, & the light covers are easy to get off, & the light bulbs easy to replace.

Not noisy enough to be a bother. Does a really good job of extracting smoke & smells. Stainless steel rim (the part you grasp to slide it in & out) cleans fingerprints off pretty easily.

Bought several appliances together, so got a good price.

Would recommend it.

August 19th 2017 Update: Light covers are fiddly

Just adding on to my original review - I find that grease tends to collect on the metal cover behind the mesh screen, and eventually begins to drip out around the light covers! Which leads me to the fact the light covers are easy to get off but very fiddly to get back on, and quite fragile - both of mine cracked along their length and the whole screw hole on one disintegrated. When you screw them back on, just tighten the screw enough to keep them in, don't over tighten.

Replacements can be bought from Electrolux, but they're hideously expensive - I just bought a pair from the UK which was cheaper than buying from Electrolux, even with postage included.

And every time you clean the filters, take the light covers off and get your hand up behind the metal cover and clean there too. Low noise, slides easily, mesh easy to clean, switches are good & easy access to light bulbs.

Neat Unit – We bought this unit from Masters to replace a 15 year old slide out range hood which was well past it's useby. It is easy to clean as the four mesh filters just go in the dishwasher. I love that I can have the light on without the fan or fan without light. We have ours ducting outside but without the optional kit fitted and extracts cooking smoke alot better than our old one. For the price it does the job I expect of it. Noise wise... it's not quiet but not too loud that it's annoying. Easy to clean. Price Probably a bit loud
