December 28th 2018 Update: Electrolux Ergorapido

The ergorapido is a real time saver.

I do a major vacuum with my larger vacuum cleaner once a week and in between I use the ergorapido to keep my floors clean it run from carpet to floor boards with ease and can clean the car without the need to pullout the big vacuum cleaner. So good that I bought my daughter one after much begging from her,

She has 3 young children and it has made her life so much easier that spill chips or crackers on the floor she just grabs the ergorapido of its stand and zips it over the floors for a nice clean floor. Bought from Godfrey’s.

Surprised – I was sick of cords & dragging around vacuum cleaners so decided to research stick vacs. Dyson was too heavy and motor was at top of handle & also too expensive. I looked & tested quite a few brands decided on Electrolux & couldn't be happier. Great suction I use it on carpet & tiles, no more broom , very occassionally get out old vac. Best ever vacuum – Am still amazed at how much this vacuum cleaner picks up that other vacuums leave behind. Easy to clean filter and dust bowl makes it a pleasure to use. No smelly bags that blow the dirt back out the other end. Great swivel head so you can easily get into corners and under tables. Should have bought one of these years ago. Well used – Great unit!! Can't say it's quiet but it's not exactly noisy it a vacuum cleaner can't expect to much. My wife loves it!! The best part to is an upright unit but the hand held "part" is detachable which is the vac, so very well designed.. Decent power, comes with many heads – Generally I'm happy with its suction power, yet it would be better to be a bit more stronger cos it doesn't seem to work well with carpets. It is fairly light and easy to move. Comes with multiple heads which makes vacuum the car much easier. Doesn't need to be charged often as well.  Show details

and particularly liked this one as the heaviest part is near the floor. The leading brand has the motor etc at the top of the handle which makes it feel heavier and was twice the cost yet reviews suggested that it was no better than the Electrolux.

We have never used all the power in the battery even when using it in other parts of the house as well as the area it was purchased for.

The suction does not seem very strong BUT with the power brush it picks up most things easily including per hair and that is using 'normal power' setting. When it has trouble picking up something a quick switch to 'turbo power' always works. Note the battery is only supposed to last 20 minutes on 'turbo power' which usually is long enough for what we require but we mainly use it at 'normal power' level.

I doubt if it would deep clean like a large corded vacuum cleaner would clean.

The only thing we don't like is that the dirt container fills up quickly and usually needs emptying every time it is used BUT I don't think any other stick type vacuum would be any better (check the dirt holding capacity - most are similar). Anyway it is easy to empty. I am surprised at all the hair and fluff which falls out of the dirt container when emptying it.

It is fairly quiet and very easy to maneuver which my wife likes.

We use it on bare timber floors, tiled floors and rugs. We have not yet tried it on the lounge although it quickly and easily converts to a hand held vacuum.

Best Investment – We purchased this vac a couple of days ago and its a life saver. We have a border collie who is shedding like crazy right now and is leaving clumps of hair everywhere and my partners hair is always lying around. tiles and not carpet or floorboards and press away. couple seconds is all it takes to cut the hair from the head and leave it pretty much as clean as it was when you brought it .

malts fur like crazy and is an inside and outside dog so he is always bringing in dirt and grass. It's easy to use on the stairs, pick ups hair of the lounge and tiles and carpets really well.

year warranty. It is not quite as good as the Electrolux but we are happy with it.

* Really pleased with this vacuum. It is very light and easy to maneuver. Cleans very close to edges. Good suction. I use it almost every day because it is easier to get out and put away than my large vacuum cleaner. I don't know how I lived without it.

Very handy for quick tidy up – Has good suction and is very handy for tidying up inbetween big clean up days. to 30 mins. Effectively its a 15 min vacuum. fills up fast to so have to empty regularly, probably could have done with a smaller filter system to give more room for dust.

Great for pet hair – I use it nearly every day, It's easy to use, light, very maneuverable, and so far does a great job. I use it on carpet and lino and rugs, works well on all those surfaces. It collects all the dog hair on my carpets that my Dyson barrel vacuum missed. I do have to empty it twice each use but that's because my dog is very hairy! Wonderful! – It's being used on carpet, slate flooring. It's the second version we've bought and it's much easier to handle than past models. Stand up feature is handy and the movement seems to be a lot easier to move around than the more recent model we had. Good value for what your're getting. Battery dead. Only 12 mnths old – I love using my vacuum, but I am extremely disappointed with the battery. Only 12 months old, and doesnt even last 2 minutes!! Emailed Electrolux customer care days ago without getting any response. Purchased from Masters Lismore which has closed down. Feeling pretty let down. Battery can't last the distance! – Initially when it was first given to me, it worked very well and the battery seemed to be able to last for a good 15 mins. However 2- 3 years down the track, the fully charged battery only lasts for less than a minute and the suction is not great. A big waste of money unfortunately.  Show details

First one was a lemon, second is great – The machine is great, when you have a good one. It picks up all in its path, uses no bag (money-saving), and is ideal for people who have weak elbows (like me) due to epicondylitis (tennis elbow and golfer's elbow, simultaneously) due to its light weight. run and hide from the noise. It can also be used on plain floors and carpet. The only drawback is that, while it is cordless, it needs recharging after about 5 minutes, so I have to vacuum the house in stages, recharging between each one.
