Hi All, We love our Electrolux ESE6977SC fridge and have had it for 13 years. Now retired so no chance of replacing such an expensive home appliance. I try to do all my own home repairs myself as a retired computer/IT tech. Please Electrolux what is the most likely component failure for these symptoms; - Fridge internal lights do not come on for 3 seconds when opening door - Fridge re-boots and display loses time setting (goes back to 12:00am) - Have tried disconnecting fridge from power for 30mins and then re-connect. This restored functionality for a week but now back to the same bad behavior again! - Please tell me it is probably the main controller board or even the panel display board or the power supply?? - Have had approved technicians out in the past (for oven and dishwasher etc) but they are mostly clueless and just guess and experiment with all sorts of replacement parts till they hit the right one or give up and suggest get new appliance. Hopeless.

I have just bought this fridge off market place and it was advertised as non plumbed. But I can’t find where to fill up the water and ice. Is it plumbed

How do you take apart the drawers to clean them?

Ive just purchased my Electrolux Ese 6977 2 door fridge. Unfortunately there was no manual. There has been an alarm going off every 50 minutes and I do not know how to stop it. Can anyone help?
Condolences for the purchase. Probably a temperature warning alarm, put a thermometer in fridge a check actual temperature. Milk is usually the first to go off if temp to high. Is door closing properly, are drawers installed properly (if not they can cause door not to close), is floor level (also can cause door not to close if fridge is not angled so doors close easily). Finally it could be compressor failure (Not good). This happened to us after 12 months and we insisted Electrolux replace the fridge, which they did. Best of luck.
Hi, I have had the same issue as Dave Storey from above, the top shelves are warm & fridge and freezer are not keeping temp as my alarms keep sounding... My fridge is JUST out of warranty (typical) and the service agent doesn't seem to know what the issue is? For the record this fridge has previously been replaced (yes this is our second one) for the ice/water not functioning and we have also had additional issues with our ice/water and have had repaired previously... Not what I would expect for the $$$ spent on this fridge! Any thoughts Electrolux?
Retailers shouldn't be selling these products. I just saw your review and I'm now on the same path. Winning appliances Carringbah made feel like they are onto it. Although I'm not optimistic. I have Exactly the same issue. :-(

I read some reviews about the Electrolux water dispenser not being very cold. What has your experience been? I love cold water and hence want a good water dispenser/ice maker in the fridge.
The water from the dispenser is quite cold (allow for few seconds minimum for the flow) but if you really want to pick on one bad point then the flow is water is not that great. I would call it average not good at all to fill a jug as it is painfully slow. But the ice making function is very fast and good quality
But that is only the negative point, I even found places where they supply filters and they have good stocks. I had this fridge for more than 2 years now and no problems at all and it is seriously a good buy
Hi. If you want cold water there is 2 ways. 1- add some ice from the dispenser to your tap water . OR 2- set cooling time for the water dispenser, once the time is up , you will hear a beep . The water is cool and ready. It's a way to save energy.

I have the electrolux ese6977sc and have a bad ouder coming from drip tray that have no assess to remove and clean. what a great design i have a smell from off water that i cant get rid off. do not get electrolux fridge. thank u.
