The only innovative dishwasher out there – I have had this dishwasher for nearly 4 years and I’m a big fan of it. It will be hard to go back to any dishwasher without the bottom tray lifting up to a reasonable height. People are amazed. It's like a party trick. Friends told me the mechanism wouldn't last but it has and is very sturdy. The spongy blue inserts deteriorated over time but… Read more
Electrolux contacted me to resolve this and I now have all-new replacements.
The machine washes well, and opens up to let out steam at the end of the cycle, which we live but it does freak out visitors(!) Everything is dry and although it doesn't fit as much as some other models, it doesn't mind some food scraps and being jam-packed.
Does not meet expectations – We built a new house and purchased this machine 4 years ago for the Comfort Lift feature. We previously had a Bosch for 13 years which never failed to perform. The Electrolux does not wash dishes properly, leaves powder residue on dishes (we have adjusted amount of pwder), all my tea cups have tea stains, doesn't stack efficiently. The Comfort… Read more
Lift feature is very convenient but does become stuck if unbalanced. This is easily fixed yourself with the help of YouTube.
I am very disappointed in this purchase and have purschd a Boshe replacement.
FALLING APART AFTER 5 YEARS – The unit its self is only half decent, after 5.5 years I noticed blue plastic in the filter and throughout the bottom of the machine, the rubber glass holders were falling apart. I contacted Electrolux and their answer was it will cost be $42 per rack insert (there is 4) and the glass holders were extra (there are 12). They don't standing by… Read more
their product, they just claim wear and tear, I replaced a cheap brand unit for the Electrolux and that was not falling apart even after 10 years use. If you are buying an Electrolux because of its quality DON'T ! I regret spending $1,500 for something that is falling apart after just over 5 years.
Fantastic machine – Purchased 2 weeks ago to replace our Miele dishwasher. Installed it ourselves with minimal issues. We're a family of 6, so this is used daily as a minimum, often multiple times a day. Dishes come out clean and dry. The comfort lift bottom tray is great, doesn't lift it much higher but I wish I'd had that when I was pregnant. My 3 yr old loves… Read more
waiting for the light to come on when it starts up (this machine is so quiet, so this is a great feature) and when the door pops open when its finished to dry better/quicker (I do have to remember to check it when my 1 yr old is cruising around and make sure its closed again or he tries to play with it though). I haven't had any problems fitting things in, as with all new dishwashers, it takes some time to work out where things sit/was best; I did take a dinner plate and chopping board down to the shop to make sure that they wouldnt hit the top shelf and interfere with the comfort lift mechanisms. It was fine for my plates but another reviewer commented that their dinner plates hit the top shelf and they couldnt use the back part of the bottom shelf. Our really tall glasses fit on the top shelf fine as well; the only thing that doesn't fit is my good chopping boards but, to be fair, they don't fit in many dishwashers because they're big commercial ones.
Best dishwasher ever – I have moved a lot in the last 10 years or so, had a reno on my home in 2015 and installed an AEG dishwasher which was great. Moved to a new home (10 years old) with an outdated dishwasher which did not wash well so replaced it with the Electrolux comfort lift, as having my elderly mother with us who likes to feel useful needed the lift to make it… Read more
easier for her, she loved it and it washes, dries and works extremely well. I only use Fairy or Finish tables and they dissolve well. 2 Years later decided to downsize to a new townhouse with a cheap (new) dishwasher which I immediately replaced with the comfort lift, as always works perfectly.
Getting used to it – Bought this for the Comfortlift feature, which works well. Need to get used to putting the bottom tray up and down to use the top shelf but I guess that is similar to other brands. Just requires a significant push and pull. The door is heavy and wants to stand out at quite an angle if not pushed firmly shut. Requires quite a tug to open it every… Read more
time. This is because of the Air Dry feature where the door opens itself for the last period of drying (perhaps 20 minutes?)- so no simple latch to use for opening and closing. The red light beaming onto the floor when it is on is a great feature, especially as the machine is super quiet. Cutlery tray but no optional basket which surprised me as many brands provide both. Our dinner plates are smallish so it works ok for stacking but would get crowded quickly for large plates. The main issue was the total lack of installation instructions. We had to ring up the shop. And then the dishwasher is all held in (and stopped from tipping forward) with two screws on each side into the side panels. Some small brackets came with it but we never found out how they were supposed to be fitted. Expect a bit more RE solid installation guidance from this brand.
Better By Hand – I inherited this 18 month old dishwasher, but after three weeks of use, I replaced it. The internal rack configuration is clumsily designed. All but the smallest of objects placed in the middle rack block the top (cutlery) rack from being accessed. The mechanism for opening the bottom rack is clunky, and anything but smooth to operate. The machine… Read more
does not dry adequately., and the absence of a cutlery basket is a negative. I have owned Dishlex, Fisher & Paykel, and Asko dishwashers, but the Electrolux is far inferior to the others.
Leaky waste of money – Failure Electrolux, failure. This concept is great, the lower rack raises easily even when loaded. The dishes are at a better height for loading and unloading. Sadly the mechanism that makes this all possible is also the units weak point. Firstly the cheap nature of the guide mechanism means, in less than a year it starts to jump out of its… Read more
guides when you raise it, if it’s empty. This means you fiddle around for an hour to get it back on it guides (or get a tech to do it), then you need to be careful lifting it, to stop it happening again. A friend helping clear up after dinner will undoubtedly (and unwittingly) draw out the lower basket in the normal fashion and presto, it jumps the guides ...... You do get proficient at “re-racking” it!!!!
The real issue is the cheap manufacturing associated with where the body and lift mechanism mount. Instead of pressing the steel housing to suit o-rings, adding a few flat washers and bolting in securely with quality nyloc nuts, Electrolux has chosen to use flat surfaces with no sealing gasket(s) or other materials to ensure a quality seal. Cheap nuts too, that can and will vibrate loose over time have been used to secure it. This failure leads to a leaking unit and possible damage to your timber floor as the leak is slow and hidden. Of course the leak, running down the side of the machine, drips on your floor not into the drip tray as the drip tray does not extend wide enough to catch water running down the internal side of the unit. (You wouldn’t normally expect water to run down the internal side, so I can accept this short coming with the drip tray. What I cannot accept is the failure that lead to the water running down this part of the unit!!!!)
Great concept but very poorly executed. Cheap manufacturing failed this machine to save just a few dollars per unit.

Black SS MODEL high/easy lift, Built under bench model – This MC IS A REPLACEMENT for a Stainless Steel model, of which we've had for approx; 1 year from initial purchase. Rang Electrolux and stated the the High lift Mech was jamming often, sent out a techy and stated to remove and replace @ FOC. So i've asked for the black SS instead and with a slightly updated mechanism. Sydney Appliances came,… Read more · 1
removed, replaced and all is now good, we have 3Y product care on top, so 4 years left of warranty. Overall new MC performs very well/ a slight rinse off of dishes prior to & it doesn't become clogged, Best results i've had with pots for years with up to 2 washes per day, set it and forget it, using solar power. ( we've had 3 MC over 30yrs ) Though most cycles take from 2 - 3+ Hours. Note;. You should Only use the lift locking handle on the bottom tray downward motion push, so when pulling the bottom tray up just use the handle and don't touch the locking part of the handle. Install inst; are a bit sketchy to say the least as your supposed to use 4 self tapping screws/bushes into the side ( 2 ea; side ) to secure it to your kitchen side panels & their is no indication of that in the install instructions. Fyi;. Its a specific Built in style so there is no actual top to the unit. Still waiting on service report to be supplied from Electrolux to the Good Guys for updating the warranty to the different model #/ colour. Note; also on opening the packaging Electrolux has their own extended warranty and for 3 Yrs ( total of 2 initial + 3 Ext; ) its $11 cheaper than the one offered by the Retailer, buyer beware? UPDATE '23, Some critical plastic clips on the bottom tray and middle tray have to snapped ( & NOT thru any heavy handedness ), May have to bring the 5 Year warranty into play. Also all the Blue middle drawer rubber bits and pieces have completely deteriorated and are just falling to pieces, ( 3 pics attached ) lucky they did not go into the pump otherwise it would be a service call out and extra parts/ costs involved. The make up of this material obviously cannot handle the Dish powder/Tabs being used and we have now gone to using Enviro friendly perforated encapsulated paper sheets that double up in the washing machine also, they disintegrate to nothing and leave no residue and are an Australian made product. Their Materials are just NOT good Enough.
*Updated* Does not wash properly, does not dissolve tablets properly – After our faithful Bosch dishwasher started to become quite noisy, we opted to replace it rather than fix it as we had recently purchased an Electrolux oven (which is brilliant btw). Overall, it washes well and is easy to use. A couple of little things I miss are the time display we had on our old model telling us how long the cycle had to go… Read more
and I found the Bosch was quicker for most cycles, especially the faster cycles. I find the cycles are very long (some are over 3 hours), and even with the fast option added (which is not available on all settings) it's still 2 hours for a proper wash, the 30 minute cycle is really only good if your dishes are nearly clean to start with.
The self opening at the end of the cycle is fantastic, it not only helps drying, but is a good visual reminder that it is finished as it is so quiet, you can't hear it running in our open plan living/kitchen area.
The Comfortlift feature is a nice to have, but if I had realised at the time you lose a place setting (14 place vs 15 in the standard model) I would have reconsidered, the other thing to bear in mind with Comfortlift is you need to be a bit more organised with loading as you can't access the middle shelf while the bottom shelf is out, so I do find it takes a bit longer to load as I'm still getting used to it.
I find the cutlery tray can be a pain as knives need to be loaded from the centre out which then means larger knives can get in the way, I was also disappointed that one of the plastic tynes on the tray was damaged when I unpacked it.
What has really worried me about the machine is that after only 1 month of having it, I got an i30 error and had to book a service call (which was originally going to take 3 weeks to get someone out). After several follow up calls, Electrolux found another service agent and we ended up being out of action for a week until he came. He pulled the unit apart and found drain water in the tray, but after cleaning it all up could find no reason it was there, and since then it has been working fine, so I'm really hoping this machine will go the distance.
My biggest gripe that Electrolux could easily fix is the fact that the installation instructions included are woefully inadequate - they don't even address all the parts that are included for installation, and it took me a couple of hours of online searching to figure out what they were for (The vapour barrier and the brackets) - the instructions don't even actually address how you use the plastic screw covers either - this is a huge fail in my opinion.
**Updated** After only a few months of ownership, I am finding that it is not washing properly. I called Electrolux service who told me I may need to use a dishwasher cleaner as the pipes may have build up... In the 9 years I owned the Bosch dishwasher, not once did I ever have to do this, so I am surprised that a few months in this seems to be the best solution.
I'm going to speak to the retailer to see if there are any options I have to replace it with another Bosch I think, I'm not confident this machine is going to last the distance
Near perfect dishwasher! – We love this dishwasher, the best ever (we've used 5 others over the last 30 years). Features we are particularly happy with are: Comfort Lift (the bottom rack can be lifted) - great for an aching back; and Air Dry cycle (the dishwasher opens towards end of drying cycle to air dry the dishes - dries very well (rinse aid is a must though). Comfort lift needs a bit of getting used to initially. Show details
