Expensive landfill – We didnt get much use out of this as i assme the gears stripped in the unit that connects the motor to the bowl. The motor runs but the blades stop once anything is put in the bowl. Show details

OK...for a while – This has lasted for 3-4 years and worked quite well, so I'm not going to say it was a disaster. But everything works fine now except the connection between the motor and the engaging link to any of the fittings. Very frustrating when the motor is turning fine and all the bits work! Show details

Died after 3 years – Very disappointing, after reading the reviews of other people here. I got the ESTM6600 which is the same engine as the product here with more parts. I got it as we had a Braun for many years but it only had the single part. This unit was stronger (higher wattage) and had more parts. To be fair, we used it a lot and it died after 3 years. Now I… Read more

have a lot of junk sitting in the cupboard ready for land fill. The irony is I gave the awesome Braun to some one and it still going >:/ . I would have been better off just sticking with that as this one has cheap nylon cogs that are design to die. I used the other parts rarely.

Because of Electrolux i've now had to go out any purchase another Braun. Planned obsolescence is a pet peeve of mine. So I think its tarnished this brands reputation. I won't be purchasing any of their other products like a vacuum either.

Turbo button Fail – Quite like this blender, motor works well, plenty of attachments, blends well. Unfortunately after about 6 months the turbo button has decided to keep coming off. It's a crappy cheap design, I can't believe they think it will stay attached for long with cheap plastic like this. I did heaps of research before my purchase and would have happily… Read more

paid more but this one seemed to be pretty good. Initially the blender was very hard to click together properly but after a little use it loosened up and started snapping together properly.

It's been good up until this week when my wife was using it and the turbo button flew off onto the floor. I was able to put it back on, but you can see it's going to do it again and for this reason I will be returning it for a full refund as I can see it is a cheap, crappy design and a replacement will do just the same thing. Looks like I'll be buying a Bamix, twice the price but look very solid.

UPDATE : Am getting a full refund, however will take up to a month as I didn't want store credit. The other button has now come off, rendering the product useless, which doesn't matter as I had to cut the chord and send them a photo to receive a refund.

Schmik stick – I had a BRAUN 4 piece mixer for 12 years until it finally packed it in. I was going to go with another BRAUN but after reading some reviews on this model I thought I would give it a try and it hasn't failed me. I am yet to find a fault. This has been a great product. We use it at least 3 times a week on various things from mixing smoothies,… Read more

chopping nuts for dishes to blending soups.

THE HANDLE

The detachable handle has a good solid weight to it that feels robust, compared to other models we tried in the shop felt light and fragile. There is a nice matte finish to the handle, so it grips well when in use. It is ergonomically comfortable in the hand. The simple click in design of each attachment makes it easy to click on and detach. I like the fact that there are variable speeds as well as the turbo. I'm not a fan of digital extras as something usually goes wrong and it is expensive to fix, so I like that the speed adjustment switch is a manual clicking motion and you have a blue led indicator on the top to see the speed. When in use it is so quiet.

THE STICK MIXER

The steel stick mixer attachment is what won me over. Others I had looked at had plastic attachments and these have a tendency to break with heat or too much force. I love the triple blade, it just seems to rip through anything quickly. Easy to clean.

THE CHOPPER

Each piece slots together easily and the blade is so sharp. It seems to chop through anything. I use to use our blender on our food processor for smoothies but it was so loud. This is so quiet when it is in use I have now swapped to using this. The soft start is great also for liquids as it doesn't spray everywhere when you hit the button, (even the turbo.) Easy to clean.

UPDATE - 1st December 2014 - Since owning the mixer for 4 months now we have found the top of the chopper fills with water when cleaning it. We have now found a way to get the water out. This would be the only design fault we can find with this product. It is still powering along though.

THE WHISK

Another reason I chose this brand over others as it had two whisks as other brands usually only contain one whisk and are usually thin wire. The fact that there is two and they are really thick great quality, reassures you you have bought a quality product. We have found it great for eggs and cream. Again, easy to clean.

THE EXTRA MIXING JUG

So handy, if you have extra liquid that won't fit in the chopper. Very handy as a measuring jug as well. Easy to clean.

I like that there are only four attachments as it easily fits in the cupboard without all the clutter of numerous parts. They are all you need for every job. I think this will be a classic in years to come. Feels solid, great quality, easy to clean, simple design that does the job The power button should stay on when pressed so you don't have to continually hold the button. This gets very hard on the wrist if you are blending or mixing for a long time.

Love it – We purchased this a couple of days ago after staring at a variety of stick blenders in the store and becoming quite confused. My husband chose it because he said it felt sturdy and looked good. Since then I have managed to find a use for it several times. I crushed nuts for my baklava, pureed my celeriac and potatoes, whipped cream, and whipped up… Read more

a milkshake - everything was a breeze. I can certainly see a busy future for this kitchen aid. It is a very sturdy blender and even though I am only a petite build I find it easy to hold and well-balanced. I love the turbo boost and the blue led light.

The only issue I have so far is that despite the instructions advising that the mixing bowl lid is dishwasher safe (on the top shelf only) there is a small amount of water trapped within it. Trying to release the water is proving nearly impossible. Otherwise my first impressions are very positive. It is a very competant, sturdy and well balanced stick blender. Perhaps the advice about using a dishwasher for the mixing lid is a little optimistic.

Water in lid – Fabulous at everything I expect it to do. Only issue is the lid on the mini chopper has water in it that I just can't get out. Just a few drops escape but there's more in there. It feels yucky thinking that it may be breeding bacteria which we are at risk of ingesting if it gets into our food. I'd appreciate learning how to clean the liquid out of it.  Show details

Reliable , everlasting – Use ours every evening to liquify meals for my wife & has proven to be far more efficient & versatile than a Nutribullet mixer . The unit is now about 2 years old so the amount of use is obvious & it is still going the same as the first time I used it . An amazing product & in the process of purchasing another one as this one cannot last forever , Would consider nothing else  Show details

Hands down the best – I had 2 Sunbeam stick mixers over the years which I thought did a good job, but the little knob on the base snapped off both. I did my research (my mum doesn't like here KitchenAid one which I was also considering) wasn't until I got this that I realised how much better stick mixers could be. much stronger plastic. It makes beautiful pestos, dips, chops nuts, makes breadcrumbs, I use it a few times a week and it's still as good as new.

Just be wary not to get water in the star-shaped opening of the lid as I'm not sure how it comes out and I wouldn't want the water sitting in there long term. So I don't immerse it, just a rinse under the tap and quick brush with a dish brush.

Poorly designed – My wife was whisking egg yolks with the whisk attachment and it just stopped working. When I pulled the head beater attachment apart, I found cheap nylon cogs. The smallest of the nylon cogs approximately 10mm in diameter was found with its teeth stripped. Hardly surprising when this was expected to drive two 50mm diameter whisks. Coming from… Read more

Great until things broke – Great blender, except about 6 months into use the start button and spring would pop out with every use, I used to be able to pop it back in, bit now it won't stay in so I can only use the turbo setting which is not always convenient. Worked well until parts started breaking – My mum bought this for me as a present from Harvey Norman the Christmas before last and up until recently it had been working well. Sparks went flying – Hi. I've had my stick mixer for almost 4 years and not a frequent user of this item I thought I would be fine. Worst stick blender – I have had this blender for some time but don't use it regularly. First time I used it it broke, got it exchanged at Electrolux. Then opened the next one and after the 3rd go it stopped working again. I hardly use it so you would expect it to last. Understandable if I was using it every day, but come on 3 times and the last one was only used once. I got as a gift from Burbank when we built our house so have no receipt.  Show details

Love it but – Love my stick blender however my main gripe is that the button on the blender pops off ever time I press it and e button and Spring falls out ..this happened about 6 months of infrequent use. Finally had enough today. Went looking online for a spare button to no avail. Same as others also that the lid to the chopper fill with water. I can live with that, but not the button..  Show details

better than our much more expensive food processor and is far more wieldy due to size and weight. We have given it a good work out since we have owned it and so far so good. Loved this product but ------ – Unfortunately I have just found the mini chopper on the second of my turbopros no longer works, second time this has happened. Such a useful item too. Excellent - until it wasn't – Bought this from the Good Guys just over 18mths ago and have absolutely loved using this product however the twin whisks broke whilst I was whisking egg yolks today. Time to return it AGAIN – Brought from the good guys and they are just that.. I have returned this 4 times already and will not be again. The fact that they have stopped selling them them gives me a clue on how many have came back. Same problem every time, the lid fills up with water, just hand washed, then stop spinning.. The stick blender still works great and I will miss it when it goes.

Double fail – I absolutely loved the chopping bowl attachment but when it failed after approx 12mths my husband ordered a replacement bowl on line. Good product until stops working – I really liked this product. It did a good job as a stick mixer. I received it in Oct 2014 for a wedding present. possibly a cog problem. Because it was outside the 1 year warranty, Electrolux customer service doesn't want to replace it, though it seems other people have had the same problem so it is a manufacturer's default. They said I could pay them $80 for a replacement. I really think a product should last longer than 1.5 years especially with minimal use.

Works as expected but falling apart even with infrequent use – I bought this stick blender and chopper based on expected quality with the electrolux name. It certainly does the jobs expected, which is good but so it should be at $179. There are certainly a few issues. 1. Where the stick mixer connects to the bowl blade, its not possible to wash without water entering the housing, this then leaves water… Read more

trapped inside making it very unhygenic and thus corroding internal spring.

2. The turbo button and power buttons just pop off flinging themselves to the otherside of the kitchen, they go back on but very loosely only fling themselves off again.

3. Now the biggest worry which makes it UNUSABLE, it gave me electric shocks twice.

Hopefully I still have proof of purchse, if not Harvey Norman should have it I hope.

All up it seems like a great motor with parts that just arn''t up to the task for than 6 months

Only had it for two months! – I purchased this because of the powerful motor and it genuinely seemed very sturdy and it was 'inspired by chefs'! It blew up stick mixing pumpkin soup! All was good but now whilst the motor seems to work the blade has just stopped spinning, so can't us – I liked this when I bought it, maybe just under a year ago (i'll have to find the warranty) but yesterday it became useless. It is weird, it should not be wear and tear, I don't use it more than once a fortnight, sometimes a lot less so who knows what has gone wrong but I am really not happy with it and would not suggest anyone else buys this particular product.

Motor blew during normal use – Was given this as a gift and though it seems sturdy, the normal button fell off quite quickly so we only use the "turbo" button.
