I got so frustrated with this and the other features I got rid of the oven. Sorry, hope you have more success with yours.

How do I reset my clock on the oven after it has been installed it is on the wrong time

chloetri
chloetri

Sorry Diane.. I have never really worked that out. I turn mine off at the wall after use so every time I use the oven I have to set the clock to make the oven start. I just touch all the (clock/timer) icons till I hear, or feel, the oven start up. While that is an annoyance it is probably one of the lesser things I dislike about this oven. I do hope you have better luck using yours!

I have just removed the fan cover and turned the oven up to high the element got hot but the fan did not come on it was on Fan Cook. Is this normal or has it got a faulty fan.

Gosh I wish I could help but I don't know, sorry

chloetri

Well the fan does come on on mine.. about the only thing that does work properly. Sounds like the fan on yours is not working! Hopefully for you it is still under warranty.

The fan force fan makes a loud scraping noise when operating. The oven is about 4 years old. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and whether it is an easy fix

chloetri
chloetri

No that is not one of the issues with my oven - plenty of other, but not that.

I have now taken the fan cover off and found the element around it making contact with the fan. I have repositioned it and will see what happens. Pretty disappointed reading all the other issues. Won’t buy Electrolux again

I had my oven fan replaced when the unit was 3 mths old. Technician told me it was common issue with fan too close to housing from factory. Agree not well made

We had the exact same problem occure with our evep616sc. On around the 30th time we used the oven, turned it on, set to fan cooking & the fan suddenly started banging extremely loudly. We got a heck of a fright. The technician said this was a known fault with this model and Electrolux replaced the original fan with a considerably smaller fan - which will never be able to bang against the casing, because is so much smaller. Changing the fan changed how the oven cooked. We now have extremely hot areas inside the oven and the back half makes everything you cook in it dark brown before the front is even cooked. Shortly thereafter the front display in the temperature window began filling up with condensation with tiny water beads obscuring the temp window making it hard to see what temp it actually was at - front display panel had to be replaced with new larger seal to stop the condensation from getting caught in the temp window. Now 3.5 years since purchase, the telescopic rails come flying out at you, every time you open the oven door and the lower telescopic rails come out with the rack on it - which makes it incredibly, incredibly dangerous - we can not stress enough how dangerous our oven now is ! We purchased an extended warranty on our oven at the time of purchase, which thankfully is covering the repair costs & call outs. However for a high end kitchen appliance to have so many issues all with the first 3.5 years its very concerning. We are not sure what will happen now we have this very dangerous issue with the oven - whether the cover will repair it our replace it, we have no idea as it is outside the manufactures warranty period - BUT WALL OVEN SHOULD LAST MUCH LONGER THEN 3.5 YEARS. If it turns out that it needs to be replaced, we won't be buying an expensive wall oven in the Electrolux Range ever again. Its meant to be good quality, but compared to an entry level oven from China that our friends got the same time we purchased this expensive oven , there's has had no issues what so ever - compared to our 3 faults in 3.5 years. Expensive Ovens are clearly not always the better option. We highly recommend that you do a lot of research about an oven brand & google known faults for the models you are interested in, before you spend a small fortune on a oven that should last you as long as your countries consumer guarantees act states it should last for. Our country states 10 year functional life span of all major kitchen appliances - so do your homework first before you buy !

is it pyrolytic

dill

No

chloetri
chloetri

No. It was relatively cheap, but absolutely not worth anything. Unable to see the indicator lights without a torch and does not cook at all evenly.. constantly turning trays etc. I am still considering replacing it even thou it is less than a year old. One of the poorest decisions I have ever made.

Sliding shelves pop out automatically, seems to be a regular problem, any idea how to fix

I completely removed them, as I saw them as a hazard. (Not difficult to unscrew).

Hi there, we recently bought an Electrolux evep616sc 60cm . after some advice please .the top sliding shelf which has the grill plate on seems to slide out slowly when we open the oven door. this may be a problem when grilling as opening the door allows the grill plate to move outward. is there something we are doing wrong or have incorrecly installed ?

thanks

Kevin

Hey Kevin

We have not had this problem with ours. I’d be talking to the supplier about this for sure.

All the best

Hi Kevin Just purchase our oven which was installed today. The first time I tried to use it the top sliding rack came out almost burning me as I tried to put the baking tray on the lower shelf. I’m a little concerned as I have now seen this problem pop up on some reviews. I haven’t seen a solution yet. I have sent this issue to Electrolux support today. Awaiting reply. I’ll you know when or if I hear back.

Tony

The light stays on while cooking. How can I turn it off?

Seems to be common to a lot of ovens these days, even during the cool down period after cooking. May be some sort of safety warning that oven is hot?
