Awesome machine – Being a 10kg machine I can wash a KS Comforter with amazing results. Save mega $$$ by not going to the dry cleaner. Gentle enough for delicates and strong enough for the tougher dirty garments The quick wash n the vapour cycle are excellent. The machine is very quiet so is great when I put a load on before retiring for the night. Handy hint : wipe out machine after use and remove any water from inside door seals, leave the door slightly ajar and this stops any risk of a mould build up. Totally recommend this machine.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,195.
Absolutely appalling machine and customer service – Washing machine less than four months old. Doesn’t drain. Doesn’t spin. Makes a deafening noise like an aircraft taking off. Still under warranty. No error messages so we have no idea what’s wrong. Contacted Electrolux customer service and reported the fault. Was told they couldn’t send anyone to fix it for at least two weeks. Absolutely disgraceful customer service for a brand new machine.

Terrible machine – We went from another brand to the Electrolux. It is less than a month old and we are having the following issues: * Does not drain properly and leaves clothes sopping wet on a regular basis. * Can not spin with heavy loads that my old Samsung could easily handle. * Clothes often come out feeling soapy. * Sometimes the detergent does not dissolve and get into the wash.
* Wash time is ridiculously long on most cycles (and I have owned quite a few front loaders). For instance, a rinse and spin takes an hour!
* Little control over temperature - with the wash functions there are only a couple that allow you to choose cold wash. I have never owned a machine where I had so little option to change to a cold wash.
I would never buy an Electrolux again. We are already thinking about selling it to get a new machine.

Unfortunately high maintenance machine – Cleaning clothes seems to work well, in fact when the unit performs normally, the outcome is fantastic. The wealth of functions is awesome and the 10KG capacity is a good option. However. Our gripe with it as a product is a ongoing issue where items just don't seem to drain well. On regular occasions the cycle will finish and the clothes or towels will be soaking wet. Putting it on spin cycle again and again does nothing to wring out the clothes. (Read fix below).
The types of scenarios where it has failed are:
- small load causes issue (phone support suggested this was unbalanced because not enough clothes. We stuck towels in there to "balance it" but it still didn't work)
- large load causes issue (phone support support suggested this was also unbalanced because too much load. It was 6 towels in a 10KG unit. The previous Bosch we replaced after 12 years of faithful duty was 8KG unit, which happily worked all the time for larger loads)
- no detergent used causes issue (we tried this after phone support suggested that there were too many suds and this may be causing problems. So we washed without detergent to see, and it still caused the issue)
What fixes it? We have 2 fixes. This doesn't mean we are happy with the unit - we feel we have a dud, however this is what fixes it:
- Either drain the system with the manual drain plug. Take out the coin catch assembly and then just put it back in. For some reason this fixes it sometimes, even if there isn't anything in the catch assembly
- Power the system off for 15-20min. Obviously if you are in the habit of doing this at night anyway, that is fine. However imagine doing a day of washing and having to interrupt things in the middle of the day just to reset it
At this stage we are waiting to see if it happens more than once a fortnight - its not ideal but support seem threatening when they say if they send someone out, and they don't find a problem when they are there, you'll get slugged $160.
