Electrolux Boss

Great vac always in use – I have owned this vac for six years and have just replaced the battery good going to my way of thinking I use it to do the cleaning around the table daily and the kitchen I chose this cleaner as it is not heavy and has a great sized dust holder
Best vacuum ever! Wish they would start making them again – I bought this cleaner over 5 years ago and use it every day for at least 15mins a day. It is one of the most reliable and "can't do without" appliances we own and rarely use our large cleaner with power head. The battery is now just starting to die and will soon need replacing. $65 for a new battery equates to less than 27c per week usage which I… Read more
think is pretty reasonable. However you will not get the same mileage from these batteries if you do not charge them fully at the start. All other aspects of this machine are great as well Great suction easy to empty no maintenance. If and when it breaks down I would definitely by another.
Great product – What a fantastic product the boss is. It is handy and efficient for the price. Picks up pet fur by the bundles , easy to clean and empty. Great and light for people with bad backs easy to assemble and use. I would highly recommend this product to all of my friends. Update: This is a great portable self charging vacume cleaner easy to use,… Read more
cleans well and easy to empty. We couldn't live without it as we have a rag doll cat that looses a lot of fur and it picks it all up and not too high a price. It has great suction and great price
Bats in the Battery – We bought this cleaner over 5 years ago and use it 3 times a week or more for at least 15mins a day. Poor battey life – Great vacuum, but as most have said, terrible battery!! Mine lasted about a year. Given that the vacuum was $200 and the replacement battery will cost $70 , plus postage I won't bother replacing. I'm going back to using the old fashioned but effective carpet sweeper. The vacuum will be out in the hard garbage for collection, what a terrible waste. Great suction Poor battery performance
A Great Boss – I think the recharging system is far more convenient than a docking system, and did get an extra battery, so I never have to wait for a recharge. It cleans very well, and does my entire house on one charge - although it gets a little weak by the end. I have just purchased my second one, as the old one finally died after 8 years. Love it. yokohamamama posted on Sep 6, 2012 Easy to recharge, store and use.
Good – A neat little convenient recharge and forget device which you can whisk out and vacuum the house with, not just for little spills. The rotating brush does a great job on removing dog hairs from the carpet. It has a removable battery which is odd for a rechargable vacuum cleaner but the cost of an extra battery is probably not worth it as the only… Read more · 1
place I found selling them charged 3/4 of the price of the full unit. Having had experience with cordless drills the charger will probably die at the same time as the battery so an extra battery would only be of use if you needed the extra capacity.
We use our cordless far more frequently than we would have done using the big vacuum cleaner. Because it is so easy to just grab it and use it we do a spot cleaning as soon as we see a bit of fluff and then a quick run around and the house is surprisingly much easier to keep clean and seems to stay clean. We still have the big old corded vacuum which only ever got dragged out on weekends but rarely use it.
We got this unit to replace our Ergo rapido which is less powerful but is a more multiskilled and flashier unit with a removable hand held section for cleaning the car and getting into crevices.
Still I can't complain I won both of them at the club in raffles. Cleans house on one charge.
Rotating head great for removing dog hairs. 1 Recharging via a plug in unit is not as easy as a docking station like the Electrolux ergo rapido but this model is more powerful than the ergo rapido.
2 No switch on handle, just on body
3 Handle height has two locking positions only fully up or fully down
4 Brush is not as close to the edge as it might be.
OK – We have had ours for a few years and the motors and everything have been fine, unfortunately the cost of replacing the battery will see us throw out this perfectly good unit as for $50 more we can buy a brand new rechargeable vac (different model). Quite handy and will vacuum for 20 minutes before the motor starts to slow. Big dust catcher means… Read more
that you can vacuum most of the house without needing to stop.
Big enough to have as your opnly vacuum for a unit. It should come with a parking station that will start a recharge as you need to plug in the charger wire after every use.
When vacuming on a low angle it closes off the internal duct and encourages dust jams.
We have replaced the transformer previously and now the battery is dead and they cost $100 to replace.
OK – The vacuum per-se is good. But the battery makes it not worth the effort. How can such a good item-[and it IS a very good vacuum when working]-be let down by such a shoddy, nasty piece of slapped-together rubbish as this pathetic joke battery? It's very difficult to find anyone stocking battery packs for them-even Electolux's own site doesn't… Read more
have any available-,and they're ridiculously expensive when/if you do manage to find one.
Sort out this problem, and the Z570A vacuum cleaner is a winner.
To date, they haven't-so it isn't. Yes,it picks up well,is VERY good at getting pooch-hair out of carpets, and is easy to empty. The battery life is pathetic. It WILL give up the ghost without warning or reason. Plus, the ONLY place I can find that has one, wants £51.49p,BEFORE shipping costs. Stuff that-Hello Mr Dyson!
Good – This is great little unit - it is easy to use and very effective. In fact, it outcleaned our old plug-in Hoover vac. It is a bit noisy but it makes up for it by being a very good cleaner. It has a motorised roller bar that picks up a lot of dirt even from carpet. The battery will die on you at some point though and it costs upwards of $80 to… Read more
replace so you might as well chuck it in the bin at that point, but you will never go back to sweeping after using one. This machine is surprisingly effective at picking up dirt, even on carpets. It is also easy to use as it is cordless. Great for quick clean-ups. Running time is only about 15 minutes (on highest setting) so you have to move about quite quickly. The battery will fail first - either won't hold a charge or won't charge at all. Our first one lasted about 18 months which isn't bad considering it is used 3 - 4 times a week. It is also very loud and costs more than you'd expect.
