Elna Elina 100
Verified2 reviews
Inconsistent stitching, tension problems – The machine feels plastic, the bed isn’t large, and the stitching was inconsistent (some long, some short). But I stuck with it for a few years and was able to make some basic garments. It’s difficult to get the tension right though, so I’m going to upgrade to a more heavy duty (and expensive) machine.
Purchased for $270.

Good – Performs as the entry level computerised machine you expect (unlike the spot light marketing where it said it was for advanced users). I was disappointed to find out it is in fact not an Elna machine at all, it is a rebranded Janome DC3100 aimed towards first time sewers. Luckily on the spotlight sale it was only 299. So it was worth the risk. Ever since Janome purchased Elna in 2006 I think they are riding on the trust elna built with consumers.
No problems so far and the results seem good. This is my first Janome machine so hope it lasts as long as my old Elna.
