Ware is the gearbox oil plug for elstar ag boss 250 please cause there is to fill point on either side of the motor and transmission

I don't have the quad with me at the moment, but I recall only one filling point: where the dipstick is. What looks like a filling plug on the other side may be to access the alternator inside the crankcase (= don't open).

I believe this powertrain uses a wet clutch system like a motorcycle, meaning the same oil is used for the engine and for the transmission. There's only one oil plug (drain plug).

Is the transmission oil separate to the engine oil? There's an oil cap next to the gear selector but the owners manual doesn't mention it.

No, just like most motorcycles and quads, the engine and the transmission share the same oil.

I would like to know what the intake and exhaust valves should be set at (cold). As mine has had 4 months use and has valve tap when hot. Yes i do have and use the equipped thermo fan.

Would this be suitable for carting sport equipment at little athletics?

depending on the weight of the the equipment you wish to carry, I use a small polly trailer I got from bunnings to pull full loads of fire wood up steep hills and it has done the job for almost 2 years now, also carry around a 60L weed sprayer in the summer and it handles that pretty well, but i once tried to pull a full size steel box trailer with it and it didn't like towing it, if you have a small trailer to suit it you should be fine.

Thanks Jack. We wouldn't be carrying too much weight. Just discus and shot puts. We just need it to drive around a flat oval. What sort of trailer did you buy. Good trailers can be hard to find! Regards Barry

I was wondering if this quad can be fitted with a tow ball on the front?

Maybe if you have welding skills, but to be honest I don't know if the front frame would be strong enough, but that depends on what you want to tow with it, and if you do end up getting one just keep an eye on the chain and keep it nice and tight as I have had a good few problems with my one coming off on steep hills and in reversing, but other than that the quad is pretty good so far, hope this helps you out ;)
