as the previous one started having battery issues after about 4 years of daily use. Given that they cost around AUD$300, this is a fairly reasonable lifespan.

The main weakness of the design is the lid. The pop-top lid has a tendency to wear out and break after about a year of normal use, but to their credit Ember have replaced this a few times under warranty with no issues.
