suitable either. We only kept it this long as bedding for the dogs but it's taking too much space and the dogs have better beds than this so called "sofa bed" shame on Emma Sleep for swindling money from customers for such a subpar product.

Uncomfortable, not comfortable, and lacks comfort – Purchased in Feb 2023 and it's my go-to snoring escape - so this is a thoroughly tried and tested review! things in the arms are great.

NEGATIVES: 1. The section of the tri-fold where your head goes is lower than the rest of the mattress so you feel weirdly tilted (I fold a sleeping bag or blanket across this section of the bed). 2. The mattress is a weird combination of too firm yet spongy (I put another little mattress from 'kid sleepover days' over the top, and it's still uncomfortable). 3. The zip that attaches the bottom part of the tri-fold broke - it didn't last long it all. 4. As a couch it's way too deep to sit on comfortably.

I'm looking to replace it already.

Quite average – Not worth the price. There’s massive seat movement as the seat cushions slouch quite a bit. Have to constantly readjust because it just doesn’t stay in place

just as good as a full size bed! The topper fits behind it easily when it's back in couch form and as a couch it's great and comfortable to sit on for ages. The added storage in the armrests is huge, heaps of room for all the sheets, pillows etc that goes with it. Very happy I chose this couch over others.

sofabed for the spareroom but not as a main sofa in the media room or theater room. The additional storage in the sofa arms are a welcome feature. Very handy.

Very comfy – East to convert and very comfortable as far as sofa beds go. Good hardness level. Fabric is a nice colour and texture. My small criticisms would be that the base slides around a small amount sometimes and it's not particularly easy to use sheets on (flat sheet over base is easiest). Comfy couch and looks nice, not that great to sleep on though – The couch looks beautiful, made extremely well with high quality materials and is comfy to sit on, the only downfall is the top 1/3 of it when it's folded out to a bed isn't as firm as the other 2/3 so you feel like your top half is lower than the bottom and it's not great for sleeping more than a night or two. personally prefer my sofas to be a little more squishy! Maybe this will soften over time.

The main downside is that in sofa mode, the seat of the sofa tends to slip a little, and so I'm constantly pushing it back into its sofa shape. I've heard that adding some velcro strips between the back cushion and the seat cushion can stop this - I haven't tried this yet.

In terms of delivery and customer service, it was excellent. Delivery was prompt and everything was as expected.

Assembly of the sofa was not a drama at all.

Overall, I'd say the sofa is exactly as advertised and a really good sofa bed for the price.

Very comfortable – It is a very comfortable bed and couch. 10/10 for comfort. The only downside is I don't love the way the fabric feels. A bit synthetic feeling. And you can't but a base sheet on the bed. I got around this by buying a topper and fitting a sheet on that. Show details ·  1

So far perfect – Emma had the sofa bed delivered only 7 hours after I purchased it. Assembly was ridiculously simple and quick. Appearance is exactly how they describe it, chic. As a sofa. Firm but perfect for my back. As a bed. I've only had one night but I had a fantastic sleep. You forget you are on a sofa bed. I tried many other sofa beds and this is by far the most comfortable. Fabric is thin and bed uncomfortable – I doubt the fabric will last well from normal use as it is thin and cheap looking. The bed is sturdy enough but so hard and uncomfortable I had to buy a mattress topper which I now have to store when the bed is folded. sofa is extremely firm to sit on and was not comfortable. Gave it a try for a night as a bed - the bed was more comfortable than the sofa.

I was a little concerned about how the returns process would go after reading a number of negative reviews on this site but in fairness to Emma the return was arranged efficiently via email and I was contacted the next working day by the Salvos to organise collection. Refund was in my account within 3 business days of the sofa being collected. Inconvenience of purchasing online without being able to see the item but I was pleased with how quickly the return was auctioned and my money refunded. I would not recommend to anyone who is not looking for a very firm sofa.
