The good: The chair is quite comfortable overall: - Build quality: For the price (mid tier ergo chair) the build quality is excellent. - Lumbar support: Very good once you get used to it. At first it feels odd/bit firm, but I got used to it. - I have the combo mesh option. The seat is firm but comfortable and the mesh feels high quality. I have… Read more

read online that some people find it itchy. I can see that it could be, but I'm ok with it - Plenty of adjustments to fit your preferred position.

The frustrating (daily annoyances): Honestly, some design choices are baffling. If returning the chair wasn’t such a hassle and if the mid-tier market had better options, I’d have sent it back. - Lumbar height: You adjust it by lifting it up to the height you want. This is how the mechanism "locks". If you push it to the top, it releases and slides back down. This is hands down, the dumbest design choice of this chair. Every time I shift around, my back pushes the backrest up and changes the height. I end up having to get out of the chair and readjust several times a day. Even just moving the chair whil standing up, I keep accidentally changing the height. - Armrests: Same story - less annoying. Height is adjusted by pulling up. If you overshoot your preferred spot you have to start all over again. If you would select the height once and for all, this wouldn't be an issue but if you use a sit/stand desk and change desk height often, this gets old very quickly. - Coat hanger: this again, I don’t understand. It mounts behind the headrest, so your jacket awkwardly drapes over the headrest instead of hanging freely. Why not design it to sit in front of the headrest, where it actually makes sense? - Finally, the firmness of the lumbar support is set by a little dial on the back of the chair. For me personally, this isn't a big issue as I don’t change this often. But it has to be said that this is not something you can adjust without having to get up.

Bottom line: This chair could have been great: solid comfort and build. But the poor design of the lumbar, armrests, and accessories makes it frustrating to live with day to day.

Average chair - look elsewhere – Chair is poorly made. The back of the chair is not rigid when locked, so you will jolt back and forth undermining its ergonomic benefit. The chair also doesn't tilt forward and lock to get your hips in the position you need them. The lower back support is not firm enough which defeats its purpose and the locking mechanism for the back support… Read more

height slides down (when ‘locked’), meaning the height of back support is not properly configurable. The chair itself is very bulky and heavy and the adjustment mechanisms are all clunky and take several attempts to actually work. The mesh feels rough underneath after a few hours. The only position I find comfortable is fully reclined—unsuitable for desk work. I paid for the top of line model direct from Ergohuman and would not recommend it. It’s extortionate to return, so disregard any guarantees unless you want to throw away hundreds of dollars.

Great at the start - though degrades noticeably over a few years – Thoughts when i bought it? Great, comfy, reasonably priced and lots of adjustable parts After owning it for almost 3 years (noting the warranty is about this) it is noticeably getting very worn. A number of bolted screws have snapped and are irretrievable from their screw holes. The chair groans a lot when moving it around and rocks around due to… Read more

not being secured anymore.

i know a few other people who bought the chair around the same time and these issues are almost universal (i'd say our weights vary between 80kg-100kg) - bit disappointing given from the description i was suspecting the chair would last 5-7 years before showing signs of ware.

Ultimately, will not be buying this brand again

Poor designed chair creates problems – I’m writing this review because this chair is fundamentally flawed by design. It doesn’t provide the necessary adjustments and results in very poor back and neck support. I purchased the chair in Sept 2021 for $740. Item Name: Ergohuman Plus Elite V2 Mesh Office Chair Sure the chair has good points but you need to be aware of the serious problems… Read more

that outweigh all of the good points and should deter you from buying the chair:

1. Minimal lower back support. The flexible lumber support system is not firm enough. Causes you to slouch like a cashew, especially when you get busy in work and not focused on your seating position. 2. Tilt lock positions not provide the angle you need. Either you sit too upright or you are tilted too far back which makes you lean your head forward resulting in neck pain. 3. Seat base has no tilt adjustment. This will create pressure build up under your thighs and limit blood flow in your legs. I have a foot rest to help with if the chair had base tilt I would be sitting in a more relaxed position and remove the clutter of a foot rest under my desk. 4. Head support mechanism is too far back and cannot be adjust to come forward. This forces you to lean your head back to get the support you need but it is very uncomfortable and you lose reach of the keyboard/mouse. Because you have lean back to get the get the head support it your head is too far back to make it practical to your work, so you eventually are forced lean your head forward get your work done, but this eventually causes neck strain because there is not head support. I wanted to return the chair as it is not suitable and fit for purpose for me to work ergonomically but T&W have a policy (to protect their loss) which states that the item cannot be returned after it has been opened, assembled and used. It is impossible to know if the chair is right unless you actually try it out. I read the great reviews for this chair and trusted them as one of the reasons I decided to purchase the chair. This was mainly because there T&W does not provide any physical store/showroom where I can try out the chair before buying. Note: I now know why this chair and other products have so many reviews. After I bought the chair T&W were giving me incentives for writing a review such as a chance to win a $500 gift card, very soon after the purchase. This review is genuine as I don’t want others to make the same mistake. Be warned and be aware. Buy at your own risk.

It's not perfect but it's pretty good – Like most home-office based workers, I spend a lot of time sitting in a desk chair and I've had a lot of them over the years and they have mostly been either not very durable or uncomfortable. This is the first one that doesn't leave me aching 'somewhere' after a few hours and although it's not quite as adjustable as I'd like it's still way in… Read more

front of anything else I've had and after 4 years of use it still looks and feels like new.

We like it enough that we ended up buying another one for the second study desk.

no problems at all – I have had this chair for 3 years, and it has shown no real wear or tear at all. I work from home, so I use the chair 14+ hours every day. Over the years I have tried many chairs over the years, and this one has been the best by far.

Relieve me from my work from home back pain – After buying a cheap and nasty chair off Amazon which gave me immense back pain I went looking for something that was affordable, but something that would help relieve my backpain. This chair was recommended to me by a colleague, and although I thought it was a lot more than I wanted to spend initially, the relief it's given me has been awesome… Read more

as I can now focus on work and not the pain in my neck and back.

It is an office chair, but it's a comfortable chair with all the bells and whistles that I think you'll need, it's swivels, it reclines and it has movable arm rests which is awesome.

If you like me and you find yourself working from home for extended periods of time these days go out and buy yourself a good chair, hopefully it should be tax-deductible at some point, I cannot recommend this chair highly enough.
