Totally get that this product had to change due to EU regs but what astounds me is, that this is the best they could come up with. It's runny, sticky, minimal coverage and by mid morning I was oompa loompa orange. It oxides badly. Show details

The new formulation is awful. Unlike most people who are critical of the new formulation, I wasn’t a huge fan of the old version, as I found it oxidised too much and felt quite heavy. The new formulation has the feel of a product designed by a committee of people who have never worn foundation. It seems like they decided to create an “everything”… Read more

foundation, resulting in something that does everything poorly. It settles in creases, and doesn’t move once it’s on - that is, unless it’s an area you want additional coverage on, like a breakout. Its’ coverage is super patchy. The one area I had excellent coverage on was a star shaped area that I hadn’t added primer to, that ended up with a thick foundation star on my cheek. It doesn’t feel adjacent to a skin care product, which is to be expected for a long wear foundation. I believe there have been rumours online that the change in formulation was to attempt to lure Gen Z, however there are far too many premium products available that do a much better job. It’s shocking to me that the changes weren’t launched under a different product name. In terms of how to use, I have used a brush. A beauty blender. Fingers. None of these work. To top it all off, I found that it didn’t have the staying power I was looking for. In fact, this new formulation is the second worst foundation I’ve ever used, with the worst being il makiage. It’s disappointing for the people who loved the old product. I’ve no idea why they changed the formulation, however I hope they take on board the feedback like this, and change it back.

I have been using the Double Wear foundation for approximately 18 years. I have tried the new foundation for the past week and find it completely unsatisfactory. I am over 50, and after using the old formula Double Wear, my personal experience with the new formula is: It is like putting on a silicone mask. My skin feels sticky and remains that… Read more

way for the duration of wearing it. I can actually stick a tissue to it. It has an oily, greasy look and a sticky feel, poor coverage, and doesn't blend well. My skin breaks out in pimples and redness, and I don't feel it is breathing... it feels smothered. I have tried it with face powder and primer, but the result is inferior. I'm sorry I can't give a positive review of this product. I wish I loved it as much as the old formula. I will now search for a foundation that suits my skin.

Surprisingly average – This foundation is very heavy and unless you're excellent with application and the right tools, quite difficult to work with. For the $70 price it was an expensive mistake. My daughter didn't like it after a week of using it, it clogged her pores and irritated her skin...yes she was influenced by the tiktok posts...and I insisted she didn't throw… Read more

it out and used it because I wouldn't let it go to waste. The only thing both of us liked about it is the colour was a perfect match for our skin tones and it didn't oxidise. There are far better and much cheaper options out there.

Love and hate the staying power – Yes it stays on your face all day! And on your clothes, and it’s been on my porcelain sink for weeks and I can’t get it off. I wonder how clean my skin is when I clean it. So many clothes ruined as I’ve accidentally rubbed my face on the collars. Show details

Oily Skin girls answer to staying matte all day – I can see why people rave about this product. I have extremely oily skin with large pores. The oils on my T-Zone could probably be used as a non-stick pan, as my partner even comments on it sometimes. A lot of foundations don't last very long in my skin and I find myself having to blot my face a lot otherwise it starts to look extremely shiney. If… Read more

there is any humidity in the air, it excels my oil production then my foundation just transfers on everything. All the claims about this foundation is pretty accurate. Extremely matte, budge proof, transfer resistant, long wear and full coverage. I wear this for work as I need it to stay on my face for 8+ hours. It's an amazing foundation but shade matching yourself is a pain in the butt. Bought one that was way too light so worth going in to a store to get properly colour matched. Negative side to this foundation is that you will start to feel the foundation on your skin after a while and it does start to feel like you have a layer of clay on your face by the end of the day. Also due to the formula, it will clog your pores. I tend to have pretty clear skin and after 2 days of wearing this foundation, I start to see my skin breaking out and have texture from how clogged my pores have become. It goes away after a few days but not until I don't wear makeup for a bit and have a pretty intensive makeup removal routine. You gotta take the bad with the good with this foundation but overall it's a pretty solid weapon for oily skin gals like me.
