Short and narrow motion detection range
Installed the camera's to cover the front door, driveway and letterboxes.
Installation and software was exceptionally easy to set up.
Mounted the camera's the the walls outside and had one facing far left and the other far right.
When testing the camera I found the motion detection could not detect someone walking along the wall normally where the path was. This means you could walk up the side of the house, in full view of the camera, and then remove the camera without it triggering a the motion sensor or recording.
I also found the motion ...
I got this to replace my Ring cameras (didn’t want to pay the monthly subscription anymore) and am disappointed. Battery life is crap, it needs charging after 10days or so. To save battery I turned the settings right down, which is pointless as it misses most things now.
Don’t recommend at all.
Purchased in June 2020.
Terrible sound, pixelated video, often doesn't activate.
We bought this as a security camera facing the road. It's awful. Don't buy it. We've left the camera where it is, but it's really a waste of $400.00. Honestly, give this a miss.
- most of the time it doesn't activate when something happens, which is pretty bad for a security camera. We've had people walk past it, cars go past all day, even cars going in and out of the driveway, it often does nothing. It's only 2 metres from the road. Some days it will activate every few minutes when the wind blows, others it only reacts one or two times a day...to things going past. Today it activated just twice. Very unreliable. - the night vision is bad. We have another wireless camera with night vision and its bad too. I think night vision tech on these wireless home security cameras is just not up to the job for the price point to be honest. - the camera has settings that you can use to target the things you want recorded (such as people). Sounds great but it doesn't seem to make much difference what you set it to. - the battery doesn't last long. I can't remember wether it said months or a year on the advertising, but we've had to charge it maybe once a week. The battery life would depend on how often it activates, and how long it records for.
eufy 2c is wonderful. Really easy set up, great picture, excellent motion detection, long battery, no subscription.
This eufy 2c is wonderful. Really easy to set up, pairing worked first time, great picture quality, excellent motion detection and night vision, no subscription and totally wireless, long battery life. Highly recommend for general monitoring. Motion alert tells us when someone is at the door and we are not home, two way audio allows us to speak to them easily. Battery easy to charge and has very long life if on optimal battery setting. Fun for the kids too, although it will drain the battery... :-). No subscription required, enough hard d...rive storage for home use and can be increased if needed. Totally wireless. Spotlight is strong enough for us but not crazy bright. Points to note: for iOS check if you really need to connect to apple HomeKit before you add the apple home app- it’s not needed at all, the eufy app has everything we need and works great. The camera is compact, easy to attach and remove , ironically I’m nervous a thief might steal it , so place it in a spot that’s hard to reach ! It would be helpful if the motion detection Trigger selection area could be fine tuned a bit more, but great product nevertheless.
Great value at $365 for 2 camera kit.
Excellent picture quality and very easy set up. In use now for 3 months and battery of most activated camera is down to 62%. So pretty good considering batteries don't like the cold. The app is easy to use with regular up dates that address peoples issues on the forum. Only one gripe !
The home base has 16gb built in storage which is enough ( only used 0.63gb in 78 days) but on 3 occasions users around the world have not been able to view recorded events because the Eupy server was down. One reason I bough...
Purchased a month ago and I just love the clarity of these cameras the night vision is excellent and very easy to set up for the money 2 camera set $390.00 I also purchased

And I feel safer knowing that if someone is around at night I will know about it

Very easy to use. Good quality
I paid $405 delivered from JnB hifi.
It was easy to install.
The initial pairing of the home base was a bit tedious, as it wouldnt pair up by holding the button. But it has other options. So I put the serial number into the app and then it allowed me to pair the home base and app by holding the button.
No real drama.
The cameras paired up easy. They are easy to install with just 2x screws that are supplied.
I have my home base in a back room of the house because thats where my modem is.
My cameras are at the front of the house.
They are wor...
Purchased in June 2020 for A$499.00.
So easy to install.
Bought the Eufy 2C from Mitre 10.
Really happy with the features and the price was really good considering, under $400. Plus you can add extra cameras, up to 16 in total.
Bought for $399 from Mitre 10.
The picture is great, it was talk ready to set up with the app and the kids had a great time playing with it. I had looked at systems for $600+ but there's really no need. Even in the dark the picture is clear. The spotlight and two way sound is fab and so far it only notifies us when a person is asy the door (it's not set off by the cat).
For $399 I feel pretty smug.
super excellent performance
Excellent performance, clear pictures and videos, no need for monthly subscription.million times better than swan camera ( I returned next day to Costco ). No need for wires , easy to use application.
Surprisingly first rate system
Had a very disappointing experience with Arlo Pro 2 where the cameras would not sync with the base station. I tried two different units, even had customer support from Poland trying to fix the problem! Cut a long storey short, gave up, came across a great deal for this system in JB Hi Fi, cameras synced straight away (had to make sure fully charged) and I am a very happy converted to Eufy customer. I'm so pleased I'm going to buy more cameras (the system takes up to 16)
The set up was simple, seamless and I was connected in no time at all.
Highly recommended and great value for money.

Fantastic Home Security
Well I am impressed by the second generation (2C) Anker Eufy Home Security kit (https://www.eufylife.com/products/variant/eufycam-2c-2cam-kit/T88311D1). I bought the 2 camera version because the 3 and 4 camera options were advertised but not shipping yet, and it is easy to purchase more cameras should it be necessary (up to 16 per homebase). Improvements are being made and the newer cameras are backwardly compatible with the original system and so I figured that updated cameras may be available in the future which resolve the key drawback of th...is 2C system (see below). The 2C system builds on the original Eufy which has excellent day/night picture quality, remotely controllable two-way microphone/speaker, alarm and spotlight. The system offers privacy (videos are stored to a local 16GB Sim card in the homebase 2) and does not go over the internet outside the property. The software provides reasonable control over the camera's although I am still experimenting with the sound which seems to be on whenever the video is recording. It is possible to set the cameras to various sensitivities and to timezones. It does not have geofencing. It is significantly cheaper (at least $250AUD) than the original, and is available in a wide variety of outlets in Australia. The homebase 2 has solved one of the key issues of a limited range (effectively 5m through walls) associated with the original system by enabling the homebase to communicate with the router via wifi (more information here: http://community.anker.com/t/unlock-the-power-of-eufycam-e-wi-fi-connection/71511). This was necessary in my installation where my two doors (where I wanted the cameras) were at opposite ends of a double brick house. By setting up the homebase while plugged into the router then switching it to wifi I have managed to position the homebase in a place where it can reach the router via wifi and both cameras with solid signal. The downside of the Eufy 2C is the limited battery life of 180 days (compared with an advertised 365 days for the original system). The fittings for the cameras involve drilling and screwing (including screwing the camera's onto the mount) and so it is not entirely handy to take them down for charging. At this stage I am very happy with my purchase. I have wanted a security system for some time and was put off by the need of most systems for wiring and privacy issues.
