Euromaid Flat Canopy CF Series

Perfect! I can cook sausages without worrying of a smell! Thank you – The best rangehood I have ever had ! Very powerful and very easy to wash it ! I have it for 5 years and still going strong! Love it! There is no smell in my house even if I like cooking sausages and curry!

Very disappointing - not happy – The rangehood was installed when I had the kitchen renovated in April 2015 but in a little more than 3 years it stopped working. Called my electrician to inspect it and was told the motor had burnt out and needed to be replaced. This was a relatively expensive unit which should have lasted a good deal longer than it did. I have emailed Euromaid and will update this review when I get their response.

Product is unreliable – After approx. 3 yrs, this range-hood developed a fault with the Main Circuit Board (PCB). The lights starting flashing intermittently and the fault is identified as caused by a poor circuit signal from PCB. Using the unit is extremely problematic as a result. It had already been doing this for about 6 months at the time it was first reported (in November 2017). Several electrical contractors were called in to examine the unit. At a minimum, replacement of the PCB/LED globes is needed (at $450). Alternatively, the whole unit needs to be replaced ($800-900). Home Appliances, the warranty supporter of the Euromaid brand, were contacted and asked to replace the faulty PCB part and the globes. In response, Home Appliances (Euromaid) stated they will not consider replacing or repairing the faulty parts, as it was outside the 'stipulated' warranty period (warranty for 2 yrs only)! This is despite the fact this issue is clearly a defect from manufacturing, as the parts are faulty and unreliable from original purchase. It is also reasonable, given the cost of the unit, that the parts and unit should last and be free of defect for longer than two years. Consumers should be aware of this potential unreliability and that Euromaid is not prepared to support the product working for a reasonable period -- the consumer may be up for substantial repair and replacement cost as a result. Consider before buying!

Powerful, stylish & easy to use – The stainless steel cartridges filters come out easily & can go in the dishwasher (I hand wash mine). It's good looking and sleek with a powerful motor.....I think it sucks around 1000 cubic metres an hour (65 decibels) which is as powerful as the expensive Schweigen and Sirius although they are quieter! I cook a lot of Asian food, stir fry's and deep fried, so needed something powerful in a huge open plan area and this works. We have it vented through the roof and the smells are gone.

My only criticism is that the filters got a lot of little rust spots on them after the first wash but when I contacted Euromaid and provided purchase and photo evidence they replaced them immediately.

I have had no such problem since and still love my sleek and stylish range hood..
