Had a problem with our Evakool camper fridge and contacted their Caloundra head office as we were in northern NSW. They were excellent repaired the fridge same morning and we were back on the road at lunchtime. Great customer service and super friendly staff! Show details
We have had an Evakool Esky for years and it has been on countless camping trips and worked really well - holding ice and keeping our drinks and food cold. Recently we popped the rivets that hold the lid on and took it in to Evacool for repair. They could not have been more helpful - though busy, they fixed it while I waited and it was ready to go… Read more
in 10 minutes. Fantastic service that I really appreciated. It is great to see an Australian company who look after their customers.
Warning – I bought my evakool esky about six years ago I took it back on 21 august at it wasn’t getting cold they asked for $100dollars to look at it and told me l could buy a new one and the $100 dollars would come the price whin they told me it was unfixable .I took it back and gave to my grandson who is a fridge mechanic he had it fixed in 20 minuets it… Read more
is still working .I wrote them a letter in October and they still haven’t the decency to reply so always check that people are telling the truth .
Poor durability – Purchased a Evakool TMX 35L fridge for car in 2019 - Australian made. The fridge failed to cool in 2020 and I was impressed then with Evakool's 5 year warranty - no fuss. They replaced the fridge. Great. The second fridge has made rattling sound for a while but then stopped working on 12v recently. Contacted Evakool, sorry its 4 months out of… Read more
warranty. The warranty on the second fridge is back dated to the first purchase. The second fridge is only around 4 years old - hardly impressive durability from either fridge. Repair place wants $110 up front inspection fee then parts & labour on top of that - which could be anything. Will cut our loss & purchase another- but not an Evakool.
First class service – I have to give Evakool a shout out for honouring a warranty that was one month out of date. They replaced the part at no cost for my fridge and they were so quick to respond. Great work Evakool. Show details · 1
So far, so good – Despite the poor customer service from Eva Kool, once I received the product, it looked great. I found the phone app easy to use, as were the control panel functions, and I was very impressed at just how quickly the freezer drew down to minus sixteen degrees, in both compartments. Having now used it full time for more than six weeks, I am still… Read more · 1
very impressed with the functionality and performance of the Downunder 11 - 65 litre dual zone fridge freezer. Power consumption has been surprisingly good and efficient, so overall, I am very impressed with the product. I do hope that I get the longevity from this once, as I got from the old ED50.
Warranty evasion – Evakool made my car fridge with a 5 year warranty. After 2 years it stopped so I checked it out. (I am actually a qualified Refrigeration Fitter) and found it had lost it's refrigerant. (For those that don't know, that means it has a gas leak that must be fixed) Note that this is actually a Kickass fridge and 2 years ago Evakool made them, but… Read more
now Kickass make them directly. Evakool warranty agents here in WA refused to fix it because Evakool pays far less than industry standards for repairs. So my fridge was sent from Perth to Qld for a repair. SIX WEEKS, YES, SIX WEEKS later Evakool tells me that it has a gas leak and that the leak is in the freezer plate so they can't fix it (Which is a lie) They say they have to fit additional freezer plates to the inside of the fridge, which makes the internal fridge size significantly smaller, and none of the baskets will fit any more. I rejected this because I know it is untrue, they just don't want to pay the extra for the proper parts. Evakool refuses to refund the purchase price or replace the fridge with another one the same. Instead, they tell me I can trade this one in and pay hundreds of dollars towards a TravelMate fridge that only has a 3 year warranty and is rated at a much lower ambient temperature (ie won't perform as well in the heat) From my knowledge and experience, in my opinion the TravelMate is seriously inferior. And anyway, if they are going to replace the fridge under warranty, shouldn't it be for no extra charge? So firstly, why would you ever buy from a company that refuses to fix the product under warranty so that it can still be usable? Secondly, why would you buy from a company that takes 6 weeks just to respond that they have tested it? Not fixed it, not returned it, just tested it. I seriously doubt it would take that long for a paying customer? Thirdly, why would you buy from a company that tells you lies when you place a warranty request? It appears that Evakool are focussed solely on saving money and that customer service just does not exist. Take the refusal to pay warranty agents fairly, take their refusal to use proper parts to do the repairs, and take their refusal to replace the product with an equivalent without charging a lot of money extra! I know that I will never buy another Evakool product and I advise others the same
