Very bad experience. Their customer service is really bad. The platform they use to sell the ticks is a scam aswell. I purchased tickets on that platform for a sydney event and they directed me to Melbourne event and I only come to know that after the payment. And after contacting them few times back and forth eventbrite and the event organiser… Read more

post nights. They both say the other can do something about it and neither of them help. On top of that they asking me to sell the ticks in Melbourne. Clearly they are unable to do the job. So asking me to. It wasn’t my fault, their website is directed the wrong way and not refunding the ticks now. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service they have.

Eventbrite don’t vet “organisers” properly - it is a platform for fraud. Eventbrite currently has 43 pages of NYE events being sold on Sydney Harbour, and a significant amount of these are fraudulent. Even after contacting the company and providing police incident report numbers, they continue to leave up events of fraudsters posing as legitimate… Read more

The app is full of glitches. Once you purchase tickets for any event through this website the tickets are supposed to be downloaded through the app. However they are not linked. No way to get help. It has the most frustrating user experience

STOLE MONEY FROM US! – No Control, Awful Support, Terrible! If you are thinking about using Eventbrite for your event, I strongly recommend you read this first and avoid making the same mistake we did. We used Eventbrite to sell tickets for our national tour — and ended up losing over $3000 through a "Boost ads" system we never turned on or… Read more

approved. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY!

Eventbrite auto-opted us into paid advertising without consent, started spending our money on who-knows-what "ads," and provided no evidence that these ads even existed (even eventbrite support could not tell me where the ads were run or even how to manage them!) No reports, no audience breakdowns, no proof. When questioned, support gave us vague, dismissive answers. They would not refund anything despite the charges being unauthorized.

Getting our attendee data was another nightmare. We had to manually export multiple different reports just to get a list of buyers vs attendees — no simple way to see who bought and who checked in. Even the basic act of "exporting your customers" is buried under poor UI design.

In short: Steal money from your credit card! Hidden fees No transparency No proof of advertising services No ownership of your customers Broken exports and outdated systems

If you value your business, want to protect your brand, and respect your customers — avoid Eventbrite at all costs.

Dodgy! – I turned up with my daughter for a free event. Had to log out from work early to get here. Only to realise the address was a construction site.

Do not have anything to do with this company – I purchased 7 tickets for an event. I am now in hospital and asked for a refund for only 1 ticket but was refused. Do not go anywhere near this company.

Eventbrite cancel events with no refund – Eventbrite posted an event at Moss vale as Game On in Feb 23 and it was canceled without notification to anyone. We seen a post on the event and seen it was postponed till June 23. Now this event has been cancelled so we want a refund and can’t get a response from organizers. Not happy Show details

Misleading information to get you to register and pay – I registered for a webinar which I knew I couldn't attend. But registration said if I couldn't attend they will E-mail me the materials available during webinar. It never happened. Only contact is messaging but I never received a reply. Will never buy any event tickets through Eventbrite again.

It has been an awful experience, they put the price in US$ and I didn't realise so I sent them an email immediately saying please I need to cancel this because it is much more money of what I thought and they sent me another email saying basically; they DONT REFUND MONEY... of course with very small letter. I am so disappointed. They try to sell… Read more

Absolutely horrendous experience. Terrible customer service. Unqualified support staff in the chat making constant empty promises. Wasting hours and hours. Terrible systems, ruining events, ruining sleep, just an absolutely awful company. It might be ok until something goes wrong, and then you’ll really know how very, very bad it is. Broken connection to payments so people can’t buy. Nothing is smooth. Be warned. Steer clear.

Such a dodgy platform. My bank card got charged twice when purchasing tickets for an event, the first was an abandoned payment done through paypal which I was told by their telephone customer service operator would be refunded back to me within 8 business days. I did not receive this refund and I was told to complete an online request on their… Read more

Be careful with what you're buying—Eventbrite sells tickets to events that turn out to be scams. I purchased a Prosecco Experience through their site and showed up on the correct day and time, only to find the venue completely closed. I tried contacting the event organiser for a refund, but their phone number doesn’t work and there’s no other way… Read more

to reach them. When I asked Eventbrite for a refund, they said they aren’t responsible. Very disappointing.

I booked an event through them and it clearly states on the booking that you can cancel within 1 week of the event and money will be refunded. I cancelled 6 weeks before the event and the organiser keeps coming up with excuses not to refund me the money. Eventbrite will not assist in anyway with this even though they are the ones that collect the money. Do not book through this site

Very disappointed with this platform. I know they say there’s no refund on tickets but I asked them with two weeks to go if there could be an exception as my mum was dying - she passed away this week. And they refused point blank. No compassion just a greedy business. Be careful when buying tickets from them.

New scam Aus hackers – Been receiving a lot of scam tickets through this company. Reported to Eventbrite. Haven’t heard back. Not sure how they’re hacking into my account twice after closing my account twice. Very odd. They must be opening a new account with my email after I close it (because Eventbrite doesn’t require a verification code to email). So there’s no two… Read more

factor authorisation code for account protection.

I think the only way to get around this is to keep the account and change the password. Then they can’t use your email and create a new password because a new password reset is sent to you email.

I think this scam is the scammer gets the fake free ticket, then that’s their way of getting to your inbox email rather than your spam email, then you’re more susceptible of clicking the links within that email to you.

So point to note, check the senders email. Dont click links. Don’t call back anyone. They’re just after your money and want to hack you.

SYDNEY new years at the Rocks – Do not recommend buying anything from this company: we spent $320 to enter a place that has a long queue and it was fully packed, we couldn't go in after 2 hrs running around to understand how the service worked. No information whatsoever when you get to the place, staff was rude and nor helpful and no refunds.

false advertising for event, app doesn't work etc – Went to the wicked ball on the 29/11/24. False advertising. It was advertised as a BALL. It was just a glorified nightclub. Problems with tickets being sent to the app and my sister wasn't allowed in because she didn't have ID, which I don't understand, why'd you need to be 18 anyway apart from the drinks? It was held in the rhino room in Adelaide, the tables were sticky and there was glass in the bathrooms.

Disappointing event organiser website – Worst event website I have ever dealt with. Wanted to attend virtually and could not see any way to do it even though it was advertised as available virtually. Just kept getting physical tickets. Reflects on the organiser.

Under 18 Boiler Party – I sent an email first to get some feedback and I had no response. So I'll post what I wrote on here. Good Morning This is the first opportunity that I've had to write to you about this Boiler Boat party that my 14 year old daughter and her 4 friends attended. I wanted to write to you and give you a chance to respond before I put up a review… Read more

about this particular event.

I was very disappointed with how things played out on the night. This is an underage event and I expected proper precautions to be taken for the safety of the kids attending.

I was waiting on the wharf to with my daughter and her friends and I noticed that were more male kids (I use the term kids extremely loosely) than females. I think there should be a way to manage the sale of the tickets to even out the numbers. Even in nightclubs they let 5 females to 2 guys.

Secondly, there were a group of girls that bumped into me that could barely stand let alone walk. They were clearly drunk and whatever else they were on. They proceed to tell me that they are going on the party boat. I watched them board the boat with no questions asked when they were clearly intoxicated. Again nightclubs don't let you go in if you're that intoxicated.

I also noticed the 'boys' swarm around them like they were prey and were clearly in danger of being taken advantage of.

Then I stood and watched everyone board the boat and noticed that no ID was being checked and a lot of the guys boarding looked clearly over 17 years old. My daughter confirmed that her ID was not checked.

The first thing that my daughter was asked by one of the boys on the boat was if her and her friends wanted to buy drugs from him. What measures were taken to ensure no drugs would be on the boat? I know when I go to the races they have sniffer dogs.

Then at some point in the night my daughter and one of her friends were surrounded by these two guys and pushed up some stairs that were roped off and then advances were made on them. My daughter grabbed her friend and pushed her way back down the stairs. Where was security?

Another event occurred on the boat where my daughter witnessed a boy having a seizure from drugs he had taken. The boat was turned around back to the wharf and security or event planner threatened to throw everyone off without a refund. I feel that this could have been avoided had the proper precautions been taken in the first place. I would had preferred she gotten off at this point.

I also witnessed most of the guys vaping in the line to board the boat right in front of security and nothing was done, they were still allowed on the boat and my daughter said that it continued on the boat.

I'm extremely disappointed, I put my daughter at risk of being in a serious situation thinking that you would take extra safety precautions being that it was an underage event. I will not be recommending this to anyone and I would like a response.
