Takes the chill out of the air – We have had our heater for 10 years and it’s been fantastic to heat up bedrooms. We don’t have it running all the time just enough to take the chill off the room before we go to bed.  Show details

This heater is brilliant for quickly warming small spaces – Heater looks great and quickly heats a medium sized room and keeps it warm. Great for office area and warming up bedrooms. Really happy with it and its slimline design means it doesn't take up too much room, plus castor wheels make it easy to move around. I've been using mine (I bought 2) for about 6 years without any problems.  Show details ·  1

Great heater but it only gets to 23 degrees – Have two of these, warms the room nicely but I cannot get it to reach the High temp max of 30. It gets to 23 degrees and that’s it. Are they both faulty? Maybe I am doing something wrong Show details

Inexpensive to buy, but cost extra $800 a month to run – Actually the heater looks good and puts out a decent amount of heat.... However (see comparison bill) month bill comparison last year with heater to this year without. Without heater $491.45 With heater $1269.06 So that’s a mere $26 a day to run on average.... Could it be a faulty heater? Most likely..... But placing it here in case anyone else… Read more

is wondering if this may be the cause of their electricity bill jaw drop. I like heaters but not at $26 a day lol.

Good heater – This is a great heater which heats up a small room sufficiently. In a larger room (which we now have it in) the warmth is only barely noticeable. The instruction manual for how to set temps and do presets was so utterly confusing. I tried several times going through the manual with no success. It would probably be easier it they just have up and… Read more ·  1

down temp button! Will probably have to see if YouTube has some video guides to help! Comes on wheels so easy to move around and I love the slimline look which you can place against a wall without it being too much in the way. Also, it doesn’t make any noise at all so perfect for use in the bedroom at night! Once on, the whole panel is HOT so be wary for little curious fingers!

My panel heater caught fire!!!!!! – Purchased panel heater 12 months ago. Worked for one winter, no problems at all. Have used it several times in the last few weeks and tonight as we sat in our lounge room we witnessed the heater begin to smoke then catch fire. Lucky for us we were close enough to manage the situation. Cheap and nasty product! Will definitely invest in a more expensive reliable product. Show details

Beep Beep Beep – This product is stupid. It keeps making beep sound when temperature is changed. This function cannot be turned off. I really don't know why manufacturer will do this, they may not use their own product? Who wants an "alarm" in your bedroom wake you up every 20 minutes?? Do not buy it, there will be so many better products there.  Show details

Efficient and Well Worth Paying More For – We bought this to heat up the lounge room in winter. It is very quiet and efficient, so much so that the warmth can be felt from the front door when we walk into the house and that's about several meters away. It has wheels so it's easy to move around and very light too so even I with a back problem have no difficulty lifting it. Money well spent  Show details ·  1

Excellent room heater! – Excellent product. Heats my office room perfectly. Very happy with this heater, online purchase, delivery and timely delivery. Never had a problem in over 12 months. Also takes the chill off my open living lounge/kitchen/dining room despite the large size of it. I also use it to pre-heat my bedroom which gets down to 6 degrees overnight and… Read more

I can set the timer for as long as I want.

I plan to get another one of these for my son's bedroom and another for his lounge room.

Heating bills have reduced significantly since using this instead of split system on the wall (rental property).

I bought this in June 2015 - 14 months ago and still works perfectly.

Working perfect for me – I have two Everdure panel heaters, just got 2 weeks back , using it in small room 3.5x4 and 4.5x3.5 . As of now i am very happy with these heaters , they keep the room at the set temperature and for the said number of hours. it turns off automatically (goes to stand by) if the time expired . i will wait until the electricity bill comes and also… Read more ·  2

will update the comment after a year or so in next winter.

Initiay had got one rinnai 1000W panel heater, which we returned to good guys since it programmed mode was not working properly. went to hervey norman to get the everdure.

Update 26th July 2016:

For a long time I was waiting for my electricity bill to come.

And surprisingly it is only $515

We have been using the oven

2 everdure heaters (using daily in one room for whole night , and in the other room for atmost 5-6 hours)

i keep the temperature to 20-21 degrees and it automatically switches on and off the whole night.

We also use our wall mounted heater ( I guess used for 15-20 times in past 3 months ) in our lounge room for 3-4 hours and other stuff as usual.

With origin we have the maximizer plan which gives 18% discount.

Even if we add the 18% more to the bill it doesn't cross $600.

So very happy with the purchase , dint got a bill shock.

Worked for 12 months and then – I must say we had a happy 12 months with our Everdure. Same hype as everyone - sales bloke at the good guys recommended it as a cheaper alternative and explained the product perfectly . . . slowly heats up the room to a comfortable temperature and cuts out if temperature is reached. Winter 2013 was great but this year some issues have risen!… Read more

The first month of Perth winter this year, it was working fine however I have the same issue as someone else wrote that there is no power to the user screen and appeared as if nothing was working. This has been going on for a couple of weeks with nothing. I got my receipt out thinking i will need to take advantage of the 7 year warranty.

But guess what - i lifted it no more than 3cm of the ground on the user panel side and dropped it...... working again!!! Good all round heating for large areas. User Interface/No Power for weeks. Thought it was something wrong with the thermostat.

Constant issues with TWO different heaters – I purchased one of these through Harvey Norman - it lasted three months before developing problems. It would constantly turn itself off every 20 minutes with a loud beep... not just cutting the heat due to thermostat, but cutting all power to the display screen as well as the heater. This reset the clock, rendering the 7 day timer useless, and… Read more

would also mean the room never really heated up.

Harvey Norman offered a refund as they no longer stocked the model due to the number of issues they'd experienced (I should have taken notice!). I bought the same model again from Bing Lee and experienced the SAME ISSUE within four weeks. Terrible heaters.

Two different devices both broke in under three months

Good slim panel heater beats bulky oil heater - and at a good price – These reviews helped me so I am posting one wherever I can. We bought the 2200w Everdure. We need to heat a large living room, dining room and kitchen in the mornings. It is a large area, something like open plan. No single 2000+w heater of any type can heat it to toasty warm, only comfortable or take the chill off. Everyone is out of the house by… Read more

9am most days anyway. We use a floor $30 2000w floor blower heater but as soon as it is turned off the heat fades rapidly. We use a 2400w portable electric oil heater for colder days or longer use. I wasn’t sure the panel heater style with no fan assist would have any effect. Well I have been happily proved wrong. The panel heater method creates a warm bubble around the unit which gradually grows out to cover the whole area and it does it well. It takes time, but we are trying to warm an area that is far greater than portable heaters should heat. The Everdure does it with less electricity (measured by me with the oil heater switched down to about 2200w) and a lot less fuss. Our oil heater is bulky to move or store. This Everdure is small, elegant almost, and we can store it easily under a bed in Summer or somewhere (with a dust cover). The oil heater has to heat the heating coil to heat the oil and then stay warm. The panel heaters just heat the core which then stays warm. This seems to cut out some waste because our Everdure uses less electricity to heat the same space.

The test for us was to leave it on all day during a cold wet Sydney Saturday with a top temp outside of 14. The unit was left on after initially warming the house in the morning (pre 7am timed power saving) and it used very little power and kept the house comfortable all day at 18-19 plus degrees, as per the thermostat setting I punched in. Would our oil heater have done the same job? Yes! There is nothing special about panel heaters despite the sales hype. We have not seen a huge efficiency jump over our oil heater, but it is worthwhile (due to physics there is no way to avoid using power to get heat), and it is far better than the floor blower heater. So don’t expect a heating difference if you move from oil to panel heating. They’re the same effectively.

As others have said though, panel heaters do it effortlessly. This discrete slim very mobile heater does the job silently with a smooth dry heat. I really didn’t believe they could do the job. I was very wrong, in my house, with my levels of insulation (ceiling, wall and floor! To Canberra ratings). In our living area it seems silent. If you had it next to your bed at night maybe you would hear pinging during heating and cooling, but we haven’t heard any pinging over normal background noise where we use it.

Panel heaters do get hot to touch and moving them is awkward when on. I would shield them if our kids were still toddlers. Oil heaters too.

The control panel logic and layout is odd (cheap?). The timer loses all info (date & time) every time it is switched off at the wall which is poor. The timer is odd but can be figured out. The two heat settings method is odd but by tweaking top and bottom preferred temperatures can be made to work well. I use a $9 Kambrook wall timer to turn it on and off, not the Everdure timer. The Everdure remembers the last heat setting used, so when it gets turned on it is ready to go. Ideal!

Do Nobo ($800) or Noirot ($480) or Rinnai ($300 plus) heat better? I don’t know. I really don’t. But there is no way I can justify the massive price difference on a device that has no moving parts and is 2 bits of tin with a heater core in between. They should cost about $99. The control panel is the a difference, and possibly build quality. I can’t attest to build quality yet, but the Everdure seems built well enough for the price. We had no oil smell burn-off when first used (I wished we had, as I am on the coast and preventing corrosion is an issue with metal). We paid $129 at Harvey Norman negotiated. This Everdure has a 7 year warranty. I am happy to risk it breaking as no electrical device I have has a warranty anywhere near that. This tells you how likely they are to break down. Only the timer will fail on this and the $9 Kambrook wall timer will sort that. As good as Noirot/Nobo etc may be, this unit does work just fine. And for the price, this has been a winner. We’ve retired the floor and oil heater for use only as additional heaters on extremely cold mornings if we stay home ((Sydney coast – below 8 degrees - weekends). I hope this helps. Efficient, slim, effortless quiet achiever, looks OK, good price, 7 year warranty. Current heating winner in our house. The control panel layout/logic is no iPad! Power cord is standard length. Longer would have been better.

Quite unsafe – Yesterday I bought HPE221W model of Panel heater for my bedroom from Harvery Norman. Price tag was $189.00 but Invoiced for $159.00. I felt lucky to see $30 discount without bargaining. (Don't know this is how Harvery Norman works). After reading the manual and instruction, I switched on the heater with initial temperature setting (19 Degrees). … Read more

Slowly I felt a burning smell, (After reading many reviews online that new panel heaters smells initially for some time, and the same was told by a Sales Rep at Harvey Norman) I though it was normal and was waiting for "heat" from the Heater. But I was wrong, even after 15-20 mins I couldn't feel much heat but ofcouse much burning smell in bedroom and in living room.

I felt quite unsafe with that burning smell, not sure if it was normal with the heater or some thing was really burning inside. I couldn't bring the heater out of my bedroom, because whole panel was heated and no safe handle to push along with the castors. I returned back the product at Harvery Norman today. Product size Zero safety product to use with burning smell.

Love it!!! Best heater ever purchased!!! – I bought the HPE152W for my bedroom around 2 1/2 months ago. Heats the room quite fast for panel heater. 12-16 degress hardly ever need to put at 17-19 degress. I have never put it over 19 degress the heating is just that good. Easy use LCD controls on top of heater. The only thing it does not have is a 24 hour timer but for $128.00 compared to French brand at around $350.00 I just bought a electric timer & plugged it into the wall so heater turns on before I get home & my bedroom is already warm. Timer only cost $12 & surprisingly easy to set so that isusse was solved. However it heats up the room quite quickly even though it has no electric fan, I was told at my appliance stores that it would be very slow to heat the room , not the case at ALL!!! Hardy makes any noise. But the thing I Looks, heat, lower power bills, low or no noise. Great value.Inclusions in the box. Does not have 24 hour time in-built but easly solved.

I like it – We bought two HPE221W the 2200w version yesterday, one for the lounge room and one for a large bedroom. Lean low and wide. We got a bargain price for the two. The price not only was in our budget line but it has a manufacturers warrantee of 7 years. Designed and stored in a WA company made in China. It can be wall mounted or placed on castors.… Read more ·  1

We rent so Castors.

On/Off switch on the side and many many programs. it has 9 different preprograms for a week.

We chose beyond that the manual settings. It has economy and high.

It actually puts out heat quickly on high. We left in on ecomomy over night as as there were frost warnings and a low temp of 3Degs, yes on ecomony the room was cool but it was not bitterly chilling like outside. Occasionally I put it up to high, whcih emitts heat quickly.

When I get my head around the Instructions, I can fine tune the ecomomy setting and make it a bit higher.

I didn't hear any noises. One night but so far we are very happy and it really does seem to work

We bought them at Harvey Norman and we got them for $130 each as two other places currently had them for $139 and $139.95 repectively. I'm listing the price HN had

I'll say it again seven, that's 7 years warrantee, take back to store don't buy online buy local if you need to return it.

LOL Our ancient dog is very happy with it and slept next to one all night Heats quick on high, economy version stops you from freezing over 9 weekly programs and User Program Instructions were confusing and hard to understand at first, chemical smell at first but it left after a while
