Lousy product – This is the 2nd unit weve had after the 1st one failed & now this one has failed as well. Used no more than 3 months ea. Would never buy another one especially at the price of $799. I will be approching the company for a refund asap thats for sure.

Cools the house down – This portable airconditoner unit will cool the house right down onlydownsides are that the vent tubing might force you to remove your fly screen on this bigger unit and if you don’t like noise this unit might hum too loud for you. Other than that cools the house down nice and fast
What a fantastic machine!! – With the massive heat wave we have had, I needed to get an air con. My rental property has no insulation or sarking, so it gets extremely hot! Sometimes hotter outside than in! I brought this unit from Bing Lee. I was a bit hesitant at first, as I never heard of the brand before, but the salesman recommended it to suit my needs over the Honeywell I was considering.
This unit is 4.7KW, 16000 BTUs and definitely does the job cooling my 5mx5m bedroom with no insulation. Sometimes I need to put a blanket on because I'm getting too cold! The 3 adjustable window slides make it great for fitting various windows around the house and came with locking screws. The removable filters make it easy to maintain, and the extra activated carbon filter is a big bonus. I have owned a couple of different units over the years, but this one out does them with quietness. I can easily hear my tiny laptop speakers over it, no worries. I'm SO happy with this air con. I couldn't have survived the consistent 40+ degree days we've been having without it! I would highly recommend to others.

Does the job – Excelair Portable unit is reasonably quiet and puts out a great jet of cold air on a hot day. The instruction book is not that well written (transliteration) but it's usable. The window fittings work but it could do with better instructions and some screws to make the sliders lock into place. Assembly of the unit was easy. It is on wheels and moves around relatively easily. The exhaust hose fits into an aluminium sliding window ok (apart from no supplied screws) but anywhere else is hard work. We ended up just hanging the hose out the wooden frame window but that means the room is not sealed efficiently. It works and does the job.
