Oven temperature – I am finding the stove top and grill fantastic the top is gas oven is electric Roasts are great but when it comes to cakes I follow the manual instructions exactly but Xmas cake and brownies are dry I have over my 65 years of cooking both domestic and commercial using many different brands of stove I have never had this problem Wondering if my stove has a heating problem or are there other people having a similar problem Show details
Great Oven – Really happy with this oven, well insulated so it doesn’t generate much heat, great burners and griddle plate, the separate igniter button doesn’t bother us. Oven temp is well regulated, it’s more expensive than many ovens but I think that’s the price for trouble free use, pretty much the best oven/ cooktop we’ve ever used. Show details
Expensive disappointment – No stars. Very expensive disappointment and utter lack of interest from makers, importers and dealer. Gas hob works at half power at best - no matter who fiddles with(try’s to fix) them . Oven now failing - works at full speed on the quick heating setting only and I don’t want to spend yet another thousand dollars only to find it still won’t work.
Expensive Boat Anchor – I've had this oven was installed new about 8 months ago and I am constantly experience breakdowns due to faulty components. Because I am located in rural Victoria just out of Colac, support technicians have not readily been available to attend to issues. Finally there is now a support service technician in Colac. These are the issues: 1. Faulty… Read more
ignition - 2 months to repair. 2. Faulty tray locking mechanism on right hand oven - trays collapse. Could not use right side of oven for 3 months until service technician and parts were available. 3. Time clock/timer fault. One side of the oven cannot be used because it is linked to the clock. Waiting for a technician.
At $11K, I would expect better considering I've had much cheaper ovens in the past which have been far more reliable.
I wonder what will fail next.
The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the cook top works.
Expensive mistake – Since previous review on my oven and a visit from Falcon services, I am giving up on being able to roast with the rhs fan forced oven. Although I was told the setup is correct, opening the oven door during roasting, fills the house with steaming fumes, sets off the smoke alarms and we have to open all outside doors - not ideal on a winter’s… Read more
evening. If I could afford it, I’d get rid of this oven but I can’t. So very disappointed. It looks beautiful. I I hope for others this one’s a one off ‘lemon’.
Nothing comes close to this exceptional oven – This is my first review for this site. I'm reviewing for two reasons - to give credit to an exceptional product and to connect with serious cooks who may be contemplating purchasing a Falcon Classic Deluxe. I have now had this dream oven in my kitchen for 4 months and have put it through its paces. I cook dinner for my family every evening and I… Read more · 1
bake sweets, cakes and treats at least 4 times a week. I've had excellent ovens from Gaggenau and Miele in the last 12 years, but the Flacon Deluxe is truly exceptional.
The visual style of the oven suits all but the most futuristic or antiseptic kitchens. Behind the stylish facade are two versatile and spacious ovens. Both ovens reach heat within minutes - the rapid response function on the left side oven seems almost unnecessary considering I get to 180 degrees in under 5 minutes when using just the normal fan-forced option. I have had to mentally recalibrate the time it takes to cook everything, considering the speed at which my actual cooking now starts.
The baking tray attached to the left door seems such a simple innovation, and it makes quick basting a breeze. No longer do I use the microwave to defrost meat from the freezer. I use the Falcon defrost setting and I don't have to worry about the microwave cooking the edges of my defrosting meat, leaving the inside a solid block of ice. Pizzas and home-made bread crisp evenly from below. Parmigiana and dishes that require a crispy topped finish benefit from the internal grill function. The smaller top right hand grill is awesome for healthier sausages and chops, and grilling salmon is a delicious alternative to using a frypan.
The importing company was helpful on the telephone when I had initial queries, and the rep in Perth at the time (Aaron) provided exceptional service during installation.
Let's face it; if you're here reading reviews of the Falcon range, you're a serious cook, willing to spend serious money on an investment for yourself and your family. You will not be disappointed if a Falcon Deluxe is delivered to your home.
Awesome stove, works beautifully, easy to clean – Expensive stove, but worth it, and the only one we could find with gas grill. We are off grid so needed just gas. Only things that would be an improvement is if you could turn and push the knobs to make starting with one hand an option - at the moment you need to turn and push the gas button then push another ignition button. Also, need to be able… Read more · 1
to remove the rack that fits under the grill to enable you to put another dish in there, than the one provided. Still an awesome stove and really delighted with it.
I love this oven. I've been waiting to get one for years and finally bit the bullet – I love all aspects of this oven. Easy to clean, temperature perfect. Looks great in a country kitchen. Would have liked a glass view window for the side oven, didn't realise how useful it is to see things while cooking. Definitely recommend this oven to anybody who is a serious cook. Show details · 1
Incredible Oven – We all love our Falcon. The quality, versatility and effectiveness of the oven fantastic. Being able to use multiple ovens a the same time for a roast is a great. The gas cook top with hotplate and wok attachment is very useful. The Black oven looks great withe the range hood. Show details · 1
Best investment I made for my kitchen – I was a little worried about purchasing this oven and I had not heard of the brand before - but it suited the style of house we have and seemed like better quality when I compared it to brands that looked similar when I tested it in the show room. I've now had it installed for around 6 months and i can honestly say its the bees knees and if i ever… Read more · 1
move I will buy a falcon again. Not only is it the showstopper everyone asks about when they come into the kitchen becuase of how good it looks, its functional to boot. The 2 ovens make cooking so flexible and the burner area is really easy to clean compared to my old gas oven. You wont regret dropping your money into this fantastic oven
Beautiful great oven – Lovely looking oven that functions beautifully easy to clean and keep clean. This oven is definitely a focal point in any kitchen. Do check you have enough power coming into the house as the wattage is very high and needs special expensive cabling to hard wire. Otherwise it is wonderful. Show details · 1
Best stove ever – Love my Falcon stove, moving house soon and I cant take it with me, I bought the dual fuel option and I love the gas on the top as it so easy to get the temperatures you want and the ease of an electric oven for cleaning. Havent had any issues with keeping the top clean either. One oven is fan forced the other is regular, its great for parties or xmas time too. It has a built in timer mode so you can set and forget. The Joy of the Kitchen – I really researched getting my cooker. I have a small kitchen and was thrilled to get two ovens, a separate grilled and five burners. Plus, my stove is in a stunning Cranberry that brightens the kitchen. The ovens cook evenly and quickly. The burners can be moderated easily and everything cleans easily. It is a pleasure having so much cooking opportunity in a small space and to have wow factor. Show details · 2
looks great, works fine, but probably not worth the money – This oven looks great, that's probably the first thing that leads you to choose a Falcon. The SMEG also looks fabulous but they didn't offer induction and I'd heard they weren't as good. The induction cooktop has cracked once in the first year. A pot was magnetically stuck and I twisted it, resulting in a tiny crack that grew across the top.… Read more
This was replaced under warranty. (Next time I will be sure to video this if it happens again as the repairman, (and my husband!) was skeptical.)
The two ovens are handy but I do miss having a wider oven. I guess you can't really have both. Perhaps if I'd had a bigger oven I'd be wanting the ability to cook savoury and sweet items in separate ovens? The smaller size of the ovens means they preheat quite quickly.
The grill at the back catches food and there's no way to clean down there (except when you're having the whole top replaced!). This is a concern and I'm considering using alfoil or something when I cook to cover them up.
The griller is a waste of space as we rarely use it, and when we do we manage to burn everything.
I love my induction cooktop, it heats up quickly, isn't dangerous for the kids to use and is SO SO easy to clean. Like anything (gas, electricity, induction) it takes a while for you to get in the groove of how to best use the medium. The induction seems to work in pulses, which takes some getting used to.
Unlike the Miele induction cooktop, you can put things on top of it when it's off without it beeping at you!
The plastic "chrome" on my handles is starting to peel off (11 months old). I do use my cooker a lot (busy family + farmhands) but this is not right. The oven light globe failed at 3 months. I've never had such quick wear and tear on an oven and for this high end product I found this really disappointing.
