I have a number of Festool tools and honestly can’t say I have ever had a problem. The system to order and reorder is simple and uncomplicated. My orders have always been received quickly considering I am in FNQ. Great job Festool. Love your tools. Seriously great quality that doesn’t compare to anything else I have used. Show details · 1
Love festool stuff, ive had quite a lot of it over the years and its still going strong. Im a tradie that knows my stuff so it suits me, can be a little complicated for bginners to get good results, but no complaints for me :)
CAREFUL! Read the fine print before purchase! – Bought a $2300 festool H class Vacuum thinking I would be able to have my tools set to the Auto dust extraction setting for both cement work and timber work as I do both regularly. I asked customer service if it would be suitable for what I intended to use it for and they said it was the correct vacuum. What I didn’t realise, and what nobody… Read more
highlighted to me during our conversations, is the auto dust extraction plug is only rated for 1200W! Most of my tools are 1400W+! Total disaster. Customer service was unhelpful and somewhat dismissive when I spoke to them post purchase about the issue. They said it was my fault for not noticing this fine print and that I could spend a further $215 to get a remote for my tools.
So so SO disappointed. Particularly in the lack of helpful resolve or understanding from customer service after the issue was realised. Actually not sure that I will ever get another Festool tool after this experience.
Festool stix fix pads do not last a disgrace – I purchased a lot of different sanding pads from Sydney Tool in Sydney. Thinking they would last. Very expensive to buy thinking that festool was the best manufacturer around. But to my amazement their pads break down into a very sticky mush.
Unusually good customer service – I initially tried Festool as I was looking for quality tools that would last. The tools are in the higher price range so I hoped that you'd get what you paid for. Over time I spent a few thousand on various tools and accessories and I was happy with the tools. I then had a sander that failed that had not done a lot of work. It was well out of… Read more
warranty and I took it back to the dealer (F&K Power Tools) for a quote on repairs. I was told it was uneconomical to repair. I contacted Festool in Melbourne to share my disappointment. It was sent to them and returned promptly, fully operational, at no charge, as it "had a failure that should not have occurred". Much later I had a Kapex saw that I wanted serviced to keep in good shape. It was collected by the local rep, sent to Melbourne and returned to me all at no charge. Again, it was well out of warranty. Every enquiry I have made over the last 15 years has been handled professionally. There are other good brands available (often at a lesser price) but I continue to buy Festool because of the service I have received.
Disappointed – My disappointment is not with the tool but more with the customer service. I am (was) very interested in purchasing the KS120. I visited a reseller after phoning to check stock levels as it was a 3 hr round trip "2 in stock” I arrived at the reseller to find only one in stock and it was the display model that had been on display for approx 20… Read more
months. It was missing the protractor and Allen key. The sales person contacted Festool rep to find out if they could discount the product. As the tool had been on display for 20 months I'd imagine the features had been exercised alot. This warranting a second hand sale price. This was refused. I left the store disappointed with what festool had to offer. This is a premium product with not so premium customer values.
