to use it, I can honestly say the product lives up to Festool’s reputation. The build quality is outstanding, the cut accuracy is exceptional, and the smooth operation and dust extraction are exactly what I’ve come to expect from Festool. It’s clear this is a premium tool designed for precision and reliability.

Like my other Festool tools, this one has impressed me and reinforces why I continue to invest in the brand. While the delivery experience was disappointing, Festool’s response and the quality of the product itself have restored my confidence. A great tool — just hoping the logistics side improves for future customers.

Wow just wow – I procrastinated about spending the extra bucks for a festool, but all I did was waste time. handle and trigger are a little odd and not as comfortable as my old Makita The price is ridiculously high (it's the reason I give it 4 stars)

In my opinion, the Festool Kapex KS 120 is a great saw, but it is definitely not for everyone. If you are a professional woodworker or a hobbyist like me who has a small workshop and is paranoid about high-precision cuts, then this saw is a good option. Otherwise, you may want to consider a less expensive saw.

The main reasons I didn't upgrade to another Makita are 1. the size and weight; and 2. the design and features. I wish Makita could come up with something like it, but they don't. Makita LS1219 or LS1019 are just too freakingly big.

Poor fence attachment – I bought this saw a few years a go, so only just found it’s faults, cutting tall cornice is a good way of doing it, but trying to tighten up the fence to stop it moving is nearly impossible, it’s a very poor design and the fence keeps moving, so until that design is changed I wouldn’t buy it.

Clever design and very functional – The KS 120 is a clever and very functional bit of kit, every aspect of the machine is designed to maximize productivity. The stand with left and right extensions makes this a complete solution with outstanding accuracy. Show details ·  1

Be careful – I bought this saw for fine detail cuts but it was cutting a degree and a half out so sent it back to festool to get calibrated but came back with same issue and they said that was acceptable and for the price you are paying to me its not when my other drop saw cuts to the degree Show details

Great to have a KAPEX again! – I bought a Kapex compound mitre saw about 12 years ago but sold it a couple of years later as I needed the money. I don't think I have regretted selling anything as much. The repeated precision, functionality and quality just can't be matched by competitors units I have used. Switched from a Makita lemon. Very happy! – Don’t get me wrong! Makita is a great brand, good stuff, but I got a lemon. Second time the magnetic brake broke. and 2 months in repair again, this did it for me. This saw is awesome, and best of all is the footprint, half of my old Makita, so it fits on the bench.

So precise .Best sliding compound I have had – The KS 120 REB is the 4th saw owned .By far and away the Kapex is streets ahead of the others .I make jewellery boxes and all joints have to be EXACT .The KS120 cuts ,22.5 degree mitres that are air tight .Its quiet ,little or no dust (with vac) ,vertical and horizontal angles are spot on .End grain cuts are smooth .This saw has way too many features to list . part but I think I got the last one in Qld. Not able to afford the dust extraction that would be great to hook up so finding an alternative adapter to suit current cheaper vac was painful but if you thinking of purchasing buy it I'm sure you will be able to adapt a vac of most brands to it.

Festool are good products but customer service lacks – Love the saw along with my other recent Festool purchases. I've had some dealings with their support team and am not all that impressed. You can expect them to not really care about the little guys. Dont let the plumber near it! – Great saw. Festool is famous for precision, and this is a classic example. Compared to my other saws, the blade is true and smooth. This means precision every cut. I love the fact the Kapex 120 can be set up against a wall limiting the amount of space needed when on site. Too good to let the plumber near it! Show details
