Firestone TZ700

Great value for money tyre but now superseded – Have had four sets of these over the last 8 years on two different cars and found them to be a surprisingly good tyre. Firestone have come a long way from the old ones of the 1970's now that Bridgestone own them. Back then they were just downright cheap and nasty. Last set got 38,000 out of them over about 2 and a half years which is not bad for a… Read more
front wheel drive. You don't seem to get the mileage out of tyres on a front wheel drive for some reason, even with regular rotation and annual alignment checks. Unfortunately have now been superseded by the Firestone F 01 so we'll see what they're like.
Good budget tyre – Firestone TZ700 tyres has a good price and performance. I installed 4 new tyres in my Kia Rio, I did 55,000 km in 18 months till now. The tyres still in a good condition but it is due to be replaced soon. I never haf any issue with the tyres. For me it is a good value for money. Not great but good. Show details
Decent for the price range – The performance of the car has been good with this tyre. Durability of the tyre is yet to be tested as it has only been used for 15,000 Km so far.I'll be happy, if durability reaches to 50,000 Km plus.It has not given me any trouble on the slippery road. Show details
Excellent tyres – Got these tyres in a deal of buy 3 and get the fourth one free. Initially was hesitant to buy anything other than Bridgestone but was told by the salesman that Firestone tyres are alos made by Bridgestone. Went for these and cannot regret. These were super comfortable and immediately made me feel the difference and the road grip was enhanced and… Read more
the comfort level was dramatically increased from the previously chines tyres i had on my car. These were 245/35R19 size.
Wasn't expecting much, was pleasantly surprised! – Bought a set of 4 245/45 R18's last week to replace my worn out Bridgestone RE003's. Primary reason for choosing was budget and was expecting them to be a bit crap after the fantastic, but very fast wearing RE003's. They aren't as grippy or precise as the RE003's, but considering how much cheaper they are, they aren't bad at all. Not super quiet, but a very compliant ride and car turns in very well. Really a very decent budget tyre. Show details · 1
Good but not Great – I've had the Tz700 on my MY08 Liberty. I put them on after the Bridgestone Potenza RE 050A which were on the car when new. I got 60,000 km from Potenza was was happy with the performance and comfort but a bit harsh. I went with the Tz700 as a cheaper alternative and after 55,000 kms now due for replacement. The Tz700 was good not great. Bit noisy… Read more
and not as goo handling. After a lot of research I'm going for Michelin Primacy 3 ST this time. It has lots of good reviews and very quiet apparently. That is my main criteria.
Good tyre, long lasting and plenty of grip – I wasn't expecting amazing things with these tyres but they turned out to be surprisingly good. Fitted to my Twin-Turbo Subaru Legacy, I have never lost grip or traction even in extremely wet conditions. Not sure how much of this is down to the 4wd system and how much to the tyres but they felt no different from the Yokohamas I had previously which cost twice the price. Show details
Not better than a brandless budget tyre – They started of as an average set of tyres, but now that they are not even halfway worn they are the noisiest tyres I have ever had on my car. The rear right one was slightly out of round from new, this was cured by a specialist company but now there is a slight shudder again. All in all what I'd expect from a set of cheap "Wanli" or "Goodride"… Read more
tyres, not from a product that says Firestone. For the same price you could have a set of Falken ZE914's, a tire that literally blows these Firestones away in every single way (dry grip, wet grip, noise, wear..). This will be my last set of Firestones.
Firestyone TZ700 good tyres I think so – I was due to change the tyres of my Ford Falcon. I was using Yokohama C Drive2 before and it lasted my for over 5 years! I decided to fit the Firestone TZ700 due mainly to Price. I've been around a while and have bought many tyre throughout my life. 1. Price - Four tyres for the price of three! Paid a bit over $450 in total. Size 235/45r17 2.… Read more
Bridgestone Select Malaga have always treated me well and their customer care and friendly staff are great.
3. The tyres are nice on the road with plenty of feel through the steering. As this is my wife's car I always get that I think are the best tyres I can afford. You should never skimp on tyres. They are the only thing between you and the road
4. Noise - Not much different from the Yokohama C Drive. maybe a little nosier but not much, you'd have to get a noise meter to tell the difference.
5. Braking - Response with the tyres and the road feels good too.
6. I thinks they will be fine. I like them so far
only tyre life remains in question as I've never used Firestone since the 1970's
Well its now been about 6 Months since the tyres were fitted to the my wife's car. The tyres have performed really well and the 6 month checkup performed by Bridgestone Select Malaga revealed 6% Tread wear for these tyres. If we extrapolate that to 15% per year then we get 100/15=6.5 years tyre life. Perfect. As tyres should be replaced at around this interval. Tyres are not only subject to tread wear but also tyre compound degredation. Ever noticed the tyres don't grip like they used to. This is what I'm talking about. Anyway I no longer thing they are good tyres. They are Good..
So far so good – I was due to change the tyres of my Ford Fiesta. I was using Turanza before and it lasted my for over four years! Since it is a small car and I don't use it as much, I decided to fix Bridgestone Supercat but fortunately it was out of stock and for the same deal of buy three and get the next one for $10, I was upgraded to the next one up which was… Read more
Firestone TZ700.
I'm a novice when judging a tyre so bare with me.
1. Price - Four tyres for the price of three! Paid $400 in total.
2. Great customer care and friendly staff plus five free tyre maintenance checks.
3. Grip - Grip on the road is good even in rain. I purposely speed around corners just to test it out and I had no issues. (when it's safe of course)
4. Noise - Not much different from Turanza. Pretty quiet.
5. Braking - Response with the tyres and the road is good.
No complains so far and it has been a week.
Dangerous – These tyres gave a horrible shuddering from new and almost caused an accident. Makes the car feel like it is bouncing up and down and makes everyone car sick. Further investigation has found that they are actually out of round due to a manufacturing fault. Despite this dealer will not replace. Have always bought Bridgestone/ Firestone Tyres but never again.
not as good as Steel Cats – 20000 km from a TZ 700 Just as well I never had these when I was working at 100000 km + per year in a panel van because I would be in the workshop all the time. The tires exhibit road noise but give a reasonable ride for a Nissan Tiida
This tyre wears out too fast – I would never purchase them again grip is good but that is about all they have going for them as will be lucky to get 20,000km out of them on Suzuki SX4 would not rate even close to Bridgestone Ecopia yet pretty similar cost. Might not have helped on the wear that tyre dealer underinflated them and did a poor job of wheel alignment as I found out elsewhere.

Drastic Change – I recently replaced the front tires on my honda accord 2008 with the newly launched firestone TZ700. right there and then that road niose has been minimized, I feel like I'm driving a new car, the breaking distance and even the handling/comfotability has improved drastically. This must be an ideal tire for me especially driving in a very hot temperature in UAE. Good value for your money as well.
Awesome Tyre in Wet and Dry – I recently put the Firestones on my Toyota Camry 205/60R16, They are very quiet, excellent traction in the wet. I certainly would recommend them to anyone and I also will be putting them on my Mitsubishi Lancer when its due for tyres. The yokohama tyres just do not cut it for me. Excellent Traction, Extra Quiet
rubbish tyre – I have a set of TZ700 on a 2007 civic. They are a hugh disappointment. I have run wide ovals on previous cars and loved them. There tz700 are noisy and have only done 26000kms mainly city with some highway driving and two tyres already bold. Regular rotations and wheels aliginments never avioded this problem. Bridgestone acknowledge the tyres have… Read more
not lasted and only offered a 25% discount on new bridgestones. Rubbish offer. THese tyres are a disgrace. Nothing Bad wear noisy bad warranty rubbish tyre
excellent tyres and good value for money – this is the first time i have fitted Firestone tyres to any of my vehicles and have to say i am definiatly impressed, quiet ride and grips like glue in the wet i feel a very positive response when cornering and braking on all road surfaces. I would fit these tyres again price tread pattern and ride
