Our expensive 15 year old F&P pyro oven died, I wanted something simpler..... The build quality of this one is similar, And it looks nice in place...... however the lack of design details so let it down a bit compared to the digital readout on the previous oven. All have been mentioned by other posters.... lack of grill rack, and the noisy… Read more

fan, the grey colour for labelling instead of white (makes it difficult to read under a bench overhang), And for me..... the lack of a side marking on the rotary knobs makes reading accurate temperatures more difficult than it needs to be...... ( so i added some myself ).

A good basic oven – We bought this oven as a temporary one about 2 months ago, until we can afford to renovate our kitchen. It replaces an old Ariston, which I have never been happy about. So far so good. A roomy interior to take bakeware that wouldn't fit my old stingy Ariston. I've used most of the features and been very pleased. A good bright light and large… Read more

clear door to easily see baking. It's quicker to cook than my old oven, and I can cook at lower temperatures because the fan options do work. It still takes some time to heat up to temp (but so did my old one). It has 6 shelves, so a few options to place dishes etc. I haven't found the shelving unsafe, but I am careful when I pull them out to remove dishes. I like the idea of being able to remove the glass for cleaning.

Gripes: no grill tray included. I knew this when I bought it, but really, why provide a grill and no trays? It did come with a large baking tray and a flat piece of aluminium, which I suppose could be a biscuit tray? Unnecessary. It does have a cooling fan that runs for up to 15 mins after most baking/grilling. This wasn't really mentioned upfront, but isn't an issue as it it quite quiet anyway. The labeling of the dials is trendily grey and almost impossible to read unless there is good kitchen lighting. Again, doesn't affect its performance, but is annoying. Backlighting of the dials may have been a smarter design? But overall, I'm very pleased with this one, and it might even go into my new kitchen in due course!

Terrible oven. Noisy fan. Blows cold air. Can't see function buttons – EXTREMELY NOISY fan continues to run 1 hour and 20 minutes AFTER you have switched the oven off and finished your cooking. Fisher & Paykel advise us that this is a feature of the oven to cool it down and is a normal function of the oven. So forget about having a relaxing meal if your dining room is near the kitchen, as the fan noise if very loud… Read more

and whirring in the background of your meal. Oven also blows very cold air out of the top of it the whole time it is cooking. So don't put it under your cook top because it blows the cold air right into you. Also the temperature and function buttons do not light up, so really hard to see what you are setting the oven to. Oven temperature takes ages to warm up. Tried to ring Fisher and Paykel to find out why the fan was on for so long and was on hold for over 45 minutes before someone took the call. They said they would get back to us and never did. So had to ring again and be on hold for another 45 minutes. Several days later they got back to us and told us the noisy fan being on for so long was normal for this oven. Do not buy. Huge regret from us. EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED. Will never go near a Fisher & Paykel product again.

Great basic oven – This is a basic oven, yes, however it does everything I want it to. We wanted a cheaper nice looking oven to add a second oven in our kitchen. Haven't had a problem. I didn't even notice it didn't come with a grill rack like the other reviewers however this is probably because I wouldn't use it anyway. It doesn't come with a lot of trays but I had… Read more

some spare from my other oven which fit. It is a tad more uneven with cooking than my other oven (an older Ariston) but it does a good job on the whole. The cooling down function can be a bit disconcerting but you get used to it.

NO GRILL RACK / ANTS GET INTO OVEN – I purchased this oven yesterday and these are the noticeable irritations with it. No grill rack or grid (these are optional extras) your really unable to successfully use your grill without these not included accessories?? I thought the factory had forgot to pack it but the store I purchased it from contacted fisher and paykel and were told it… Read more

doesn't come with one?( This is a basic standard model that's what was told ) It's a basic accessory I thought, even cheaper models would have this as standard. Conditioning the oven, this takes nearly 2 hours of setting it at temperatures on each function and leaving it to condition. The fan stays on, there's a cooling fan that stays on after the oven is turned off, it stayed running for around 1 1/2 hours, I thought it was a malfunction because the manual isn't very specific about it. The grill rack is $33.22 and the grid is $74.78 ( I think? The parts list is a bit confusing ) so take that into consideration if your purchasing this oven. The 2 star rating is because it's got no grill rack, I haven't cooked in it yet. This is an added update, my rating has now dropped to 1 star. I've been cooking Pavlovas for years in different brand ovens without any issues, I cooked 2 failures in this oven, the first one I followed the cooking advice in the booklet that comes with the oven, it didn't cook it and I had to throw it out. Number 2 Pavlova did seem to be a bit better when I cooked it my own way that was until I opened the oven in the morning ( I always leave my Pavs to stay in the oven overnight, never an issue) imagine finding ANTS over your dessert you made for a function...... Upon checking the rubber seals I find that only the corners are glued down so the ANTS must push themselves under the non glued section ( I can't find another explanation ) and the Pav didn't cook properly upon inspection. I've used a CHEF and WESTINGHOUSE ovens in the past and never experienced Pavs not cooking and ANTS inside my oven. I really regret purchasing this oven, this seems to be a very inferior product. I want to go the Land fill/ Metal Recyclers and try and find my ugly well used Westinghouse and put it back. If a FISHER AND PAYKEL REPRESENTIVE reads this please leave a response in regard to the BASIC ACCESSORIES not included and why would ANTS be able to get into a oven( It should be throughly seal tight) is the rubber seal the problem? NEW UPDATE This oven has a PIZZA BAKE FUNCTION which sounds great, but after multiple goes at waiting over an hour for it to reach 200 degrees I had a service technician have a look at it. The wonderful news from FISHER AND PAYKEL is that this is normal to wait 1 HOUR while your oven heats up wasting money on power usage, what an absolutely useless function to add to a oven, I still find this hard to believe and wondering if it's still a fault because it barely melts the cheese. NEVER BUY FISHER AND PAYKEL PRODUCTS.

No Grill Rack – We purchased this oven new from a local major retailer and found that although it does come with a roast dish, the grill rack and/or grid is NOT included and has to be purchased separately as an 'accessory'. I have never experienced this situation before and contacted the company to confirm that this was, indeed, the case. They confirmed that it… Read more

was, and offered no explanation other than it was not included for this oven model. To purchase this tray would cost around $40. It is not the value to which I object, it is the fact that what should be included as a standard item is now deemed, at least by Fisher and Paykel, not to be so. Bad show. Won't purchase another product from this company
