Fisher & Paykel DE5060 Questions & Answers
Verifiedwhy is the drum belt keep coming off drum
Hi, My DE5060M1 Dryer seems to be working normally, as in there are no errors, but not heating. Is there a reset button or Thermostat? Otherwise I suppose it could be the heating elements itself? Could you please give me some guidance.
I’m not the person you need to ask. Suggest you direct your issue to Fisher and Paykel
Hi - I want to remove the control panel stick on overlay as I won't be using the dryer inverted any longer. I'm worried the original control panel underneath will be ruined though, covered in glue etc. Does anyone know the best way to remove the overlay without damaging the original? Thanks!
What can we try to do before getting a technician out. Our dryer is tumbling with no errors but all of a sudden not heating/drying at all.
How do you mount to wall upside down, doesn’t have the notches in the back to hook bracket into
Why my dryer suddenly stopped heating. There was a beeping error message . After I tried several times does not heat although everything else seems OK.
It’s probably the thermostat (part number: H0184000025) approx $45 to replace.
They now come as a 3 part kit with the thermostat and overheat, I just replaced them and they cost $59.53 from Doug Smith spares in Sydney, it took a week to get them in from F & P. Part No FIS-H0184000025P Dryer working again.
Or dryer has stopped heating. No errors showing.
I have similar problem a while ago but it sort of fixes itself after an hour or so. I suppose if problem persist, you might have to call their service support team
Hi, We have no heat when drying our clothes wgat would course this problem
you will have to go back to Fisher & Paykel to service your dryer if it is not drying your clothes if it is still under warranty
Err4 code is displayed. Dryer not heating
Not heating
It’s been 1and half years and hardly used it , now err4 beeping. Not worth calling a technician to look into . Should never buy fisher and paykel products -lesson learnt.
What is a weight of this dryer?
I have just looked all through the manual and it doesnt say the weight. It says the dimensions only. Mine is on the wall, inverted, with a vented to the outside system. I love it. It dries the very quickly through the new sensor system. Im very happy with it.
Hi, For all of those people that have had these for 12+ months, how many have had this "Err4" fault? Thinking of getting one but if it has known faults then I don't want it period.
Thanks in advance.
Had it twice within 8 months.
I have had twice 2 and from what i have seen on internet it is a common problem with fisher and paykel
I mount it upside down on the wall and the screen now is upside down too. How do i fix it? The mabual book doesnt cover it and the youtube video has a different type dryer as the example. Mine is DE5060M1 dryer.
There should be a stick on overlay that you just put on top of the existing panel which makes it look right. If it's not there go back to the retailer. If I were you I would leave it on the floor because when the thermostat fails in a few weeks and you have to get the technician out they won't take it off the wall for you. :-)
Sorry fred but your answer is wrong. The stick on overlay makes the buttons look right but the display screen is still upside down.
I don't have an answer and am yet to find one but I am going through the same problem.
From the Manual - For DE7060M, DE6060M and DE5060M press KEYLOCK and HEAVY for three seconds. For DE4560M press KEYLOCK and AIR DRY for three seconds. The dryer will beep to indicate you have made a correct selection, and the display will change after three seconds. Repeat the same steps to return the panel to the factory setting.
I've used this dryer for nearly two months, and it dries clothes properly. Though, it starts to make an annoying noise a few days ago. It is not extremely loud but it is annoying. I wonder if the 2 year warranty cover noise? There must be something wrong because it doesn't make such noise before. And I don't want to bear with the noise every time I use the dryer, it is only 2 months old.
Mine does not have a noise, you should ring F&P and get them to send out technician to look at it. I found technicians are very good, it's the F&P products that are not so good, mine has broken twice in the 6months since I bought it, same issue (not heating). The technician that came fixed the problem in minutes and I did not pay a thing.
Mine leaked some bearing oil/grease and marked some sheets and pillow cases but F&P serviced the machine then replaced under warranty. Tick!
