Love this machine!
WashSmart WA1068G2 (10kg)I wanted a larger machine so that I could wash my quilts and bed covers. I also live the simplicity of this washer, its all automatic when it comes to how much water is needed per wash. I highly recommend.
Good easy to use washer
WashSmart WA8560G1 (8.5kg)This is my third F & P washer the previous lasting 15 years. The new washer though slimmer in profile is deeper even though the capacity is the same as the previous model and fits well into small spaces. It washes well on all cycles even though the pump can be a bit nosiy at times. That being said I have never had a quiet washing machine.... A lot has been said negatively about this model but if you read the instructions and use it as per them it performs perfectly well. It is a good all round washer. Purchased from The Good Guys Helensvale.

I am a single female household and it is the biggest piece of junk to do the small few loads I do a week. I have had it for about four years and it’s given me nothing but problems. Twice I’ve had it in for repairs at my expense. Cycle always takes 2-4x the time it should because of playing up. Also the sound it makes whenever it plays up sounds like birds, so I constantly feel haunted by the sound of birds thinking it’s the machine beeping at all hours of the day. Disappointing
WashSmart WA1068G2 (10kg)I’ve had to replace the plastic agitator twice as the blades keep breaking. Sharp edges have damaged my clothes and the metal lid and body are rusting out along the edges causing rust stains. Also the pump gets clogged with lint and small items getting stuck and not passing through the small drain outlet. I’ve had to have it cleaned out by a professional because it would not pump any suds through the blockage. Very disappointing.

Not water efficient
WashSmart WA7060G2 (7kg)F&P state the top loading 7 kg uses 86L of water per cycle. This is misleading. One would presume a regular cycle or an eco cycle. No they mean a wash cycle or a rinse cycle. The 7 kg uses 180 L of water per wash which is hugely excessive when you are on tank water.

Worst machine ever
WashSmart WA8560G1 (8.5kg)Constant out of balance when it reaches spin cycle, even with nothing in it and all parameters set correctly. I've not been able to complete a wash for the last two weeks and it has never been overloaded. Also incredibly noisy compared to other machines. Maybe other older models of this brand are better but avoid this one.
Disappointing beyond belief
WashSmart WA8560G1 (8.5kg)We have had a fisher and Paykel for the last 14 years and never a problem and loved it. Replaced it 2 weeks ago with similar model and a bit bigger. The clothes come out all screwed up and unbelievably all need to ironed. It is much noisier and the spin cycle still leaves clothes much wetter and this takes drying longer. Have read manual and adjusted settings including the spin to no avail. I’m very disappointed to say the least.

Terrible Washing Machine for washing clothes
CleanSmart WL8060P1 (8kg)I purchased this machine after my old F&P top loader died following 12 years of solid hard work.
I had great hopes for this machine. Good eco rating attracted me and I was open to trying the low profile agitator.
It was a failed experiment from start to finish. The machine simply didn’t wash. The water fill height is so low the clothes jiggle in the water at best. I found on most loads there was 10cm of clothes above the water line that were only just wet before entering the empty and rinse cycle.

Such a disappointment
WashSmart WA1068G1 (10kg)Prior to buying this F&P 10kg washing machine, I had bought 2 other F&P machines which were made in New Zealand. My last 8kg F&P machine lasted nearly 15 years. This new model is such a disappointment. Thankfully I bought a 5-year Product Warranty. It has been replaced twice. At the time of purchase, I did not know F&P is now owned by a Chinese company. If I had known this, I would never have bought this machine. It regularly gets stuck on 11 minutes, and I have to manually push it forward to the next cycle. It regularly leaves scud marks all over my dark washing. It does not like being put on pause or having its cycle interrupted. It wants to be in charge – not me. I highly recommend you do not buy this machine.

Cant believe how bad it is clothes always covered in lint
WashSmart WA8560G1 (8.5kg)We had an older model Fisher Paykel 10kg top Loader for over 10 years and never had an issue with it was an amazing machine. So when we moved house last year to something smaller need a smaller machine so went with the WA8560G1. Well what a lemon. From day one we have had nothing but clothes covered in lint and marks after washing. Tried various routing of the drain hose to help with the supposed Auto lint filter but no change. Purchased the Fisher Paykel Lint Filter option but still the lint on clothes is there. We will be purchasing a new machine again but it wont be Fisher & Paykel again. Have tried contacting them but nor response. Very frustrating for what used to be a good brand.

Faulty
WashSmart WA8560G1 (8.5kg)Since new was a bit noisy, clunking stop starting a bit. I thought was normal for fisher and paykel. After 3 years when out of warranty it got worse then would not complete wash cycles etc , always stopping with error codes etc. Now its at the tip at 3 1/2 years old. My mother has same machine but newer than mine and still under warranty she just had it repaired, doing the same as mine. Have been told this is a problem with this model (and maybe others?) the company apparently knows this and continous to sell them. I now gone back to a Samsung and will never buy from this Company again. (Apparently Haier now own Fisher and Paykel. They need to be held accountable. Avoid them like the plague.

Wouldn't buy again
WashSmart WA1068G1 (10kg)I have had F & P for the last 30 years. This 10g model has been disappointing. Functionality is limited - open the lid and the whole of that cycle starts again! Agitator fins broke off after a couple of years - never happened before. I think the quality is no longer there. Will buy another brand next time.

My machine does not was properly... Still has like dirt and sand on my clothes. Obviously the rice has not worked.
Anyone know the fix?
How do I increase the number of times the end of cycle alert happens? Not the number of beeps to signal the end of the cycle. This alert only happens once. I don’t always hear it, so I’m not aware that the wash is finished. I’d like it to repeat until I turn it off by lifting the lid. Is this possible?
When should detergent be added? I add at very beginning but there seems to be an initial minor rinse, drain of water and then drum fills up again for main wash. I’m worried I’m washing my detergent out before the main wash each time. Manual doesn’t answer when to add detergent.
