Franke kitchen faucet not swivelling – We bought a Franke mixer tap about 7 years ago. It stopped swivelling after a couple of years. However as part of the warranty they sent out a plumber to fix it. Now after a more than 5 years it stooped swivelling again. I will go for a cheaper faucet which will not have such problems

Disappointing for the price – This tap cost over $500 in late 2014. Today, after years of progressively getting stiffer, I went to swivel it and the fixing rod snapped clean off after being increasingly difficult to swivel. What should have lasted the life of my kitchen renovation is now being binned after just over five years. Lesson learned: there are sub-$200 taps from other brands that will do just as well as Franke. Show details

Franke Tap split and leaking – Our expensive Franke mixer tap is less than three years old and has already rusted to such an extent that the underside of the spout has rusted, split and leaks when switched on. At over $400 for the sink / tap combination, this is disgusting. We should have gone to Bunnings and saved $300! I'm waiting to see what Franke has to say.... Show details

Not Recommended – Within 12 months of installation, the mixer started leaking on the internal seals and became too stiff to swivel. Installed by a licensed plumber, Franke would not replace under warranty due to the non fitment of pressure regulating valves. This is a condition of warranty and adds significantly to the installation cost. The mixer was expensive to… Read more

start with, so definitely not worth it. I live in an area where supply pressure is regulated by Water Corp, so the tap has not been exposed to excessive pressures. I conclude this is a poor design or poor materials. Will replace with any brand other than Franke as long as they recognise a warranty issue.

Very disappointed – This was a very expensive sink mixer and after a year it started to become stiff to turn. Now we can only have the tap face in one direction and we have to use the vegie sprayer when needing to use the other sink. This is a nuisance if you need to have running water with your hands free. I have had much cheaper taps in the past and never had problems even after 10 years. I would not recommend this product to anyone.  Show details

Not a Great Design – We bought this model when we had the kitchen done. Within a few months, the chrome on the leading edge of the spout had cracked and was quite sharp, we lived with it as it may have been our fault rather than a manufacturing defect. Two years in, though, both the spout and the tap were getting very stiff to move. Reece Plumbing processed the… Read more

warranty claim and a new tap duly arrived - impressed! Now it's been only 7 months since then and the tap is stiff again. I'm beginning to think the lubricant dries out in the spout pivot making it very stiff to move. Don't know what's happening to the ceramic insert. What can a user do to make it tight? Surely it's not worn out in 7 months? The Style, the Warranty Unreliable
