Fujifilm FinePix S5600

Excellent – I bought this 3 years ago. I am quite happy with it. I am able to take a high quality photos. The continues shotting is 0.5 sec. Means that 2 photos per second. The bracketing and white balance brings the option for play and get the picture expected. My kids (5 & 1) has through it on the floor (not sure what they have done when I don’t see them) We took pictures under the rain, in dusty and country side. It is easy to carry, good zoom (equivalent to 320mm).
The ISO 400 is able to have good A4 printings, sometimes up to 12”x16”. The ISO 64 allows me to have big enlargements. I am still amazed of get a such good camera.
I also have an SLR canon with 2 lens (20-70, 50-200) but it is more difficult to carry them having 2 kids.
You will not be disappointed but read the manual to use it well. It is very compact with many functions, It is almost a professional camera for amateurs (almost an DSLR) The quality of the EVF (neither the TFT LCD screen) has not enough quality to see if the subject is on focus. But for the price I consider it fair.
Excellent – I hope I never have to replace this unit as it is the best I have ever used. From insects to elephants, the results are excellent. I have been using my S5600 exclusively for 2 and a half years in a semi- professional role.It is the only camera I have ever needed to use in that time. Reliability is exceptional and it does exactly what the makers claim it can do. The menu is a little bit awkward to use at first but becomes easier with practice.
Good – Quite happy with the quality of shots taken with this camera,Memory cards are pricey in comparison to other cameras cards.Software which comes with the camera is adequate and allows for editing and color correction etc.Screen on back quite hard to see in bright light but eye piece is a comfortable alternative, overall pretty happy with camera, have not had any mechanical issues with camera and it has been used extensively. Lots of options for manual operation, like the fact you can record movie with sound.Like the shape, very comfy to use Bit Bulky and can be a bit confusing at times.A bit overpriced in comparison with some of the other digital cameras on the market.
Good – At under $350 (in January 2007), this camera is super value. I love the simplicity that makes it easy enough for my five-year old grand-daughter to use. Anti-shudder mechanism - rare to get a blurred picture. Good value for money. Easy to use. Takes AA batteries. No angle adjustment to viewfinder. (Our other family digital is a Nikon Coolpix 5700 and this is the feature that separates the two cameras).
