trip meter fail, address's not found, cam not rotating, need to replace or warranty claim after 10 months – too many issues, maybe simple failures- will need to take back for replacement or refund. i need for the trip meter- critical and not working at all. cam will not erase or rotate. hopefully new replacement will work - so many address's including CBD locations not found. this is NOT user friendly.

Wish I never purchased this!!! – This Garmin unit reads as having all the bells and whistles... but sorry Garmin lovers its crap!!! The maps aren't up to date compared to many other Navigations units I've previously used. And even when you use the browser within the unit - you are unable to use locations that are found on Google Maps. The so-called shortest distance isn't at all the shortest distance and the unit uses a much longer route (even when using as a car navigator and not truck). The voice recognition again isn't the best I've experienced from other Navigations units I've previously used. A big shame really for the money you outlay for this unit. Glad I didn't buy it from either Garmin or JB Hi-Fi as they are both really expensive and I saved myself $60.00 buying my unit from Ryda.com.au (big shout out to Ryda who do some really great deals and deliver really quickly). Yep so before purchasing a truck navigator take a look at other reviews from Real Truck Drivers and users, not just people that use it just for a navigations system

Specialised Truck GPS with built in dash cam – Having recently moved to Canberra and securing a new bus driving job that regularly takes me in to Sydney I purchased this model. Whilst it is essentially a truck GPS a number of Coach/Bus drivers use them because you can still put in the length, width, height and weight of your vehicle. This was the main reason I purchased the unit. The GPS will divert you away from low railway bridge underpasses and weight restricted roads.
Well so far so good. This unit has got me out of trouble when I have had to divert from my normal route due to motorway and tunnel closures in Sydney. You can also use it when driving your normal car as it gives you the option to select truck or car.
It has lifetime maps and lifetime live traffic function that works via the power cable unlike some gps units where you need to pair your mobile phone and use it's data.
It has a large touch screen and you can also operate the unit using voice commands. When you power it up it also knows where you are virtually straight away unlike some models I have used in the past where it can take over a minute to get a GPS fix.
The dash cam is quite good and good quality video with GPS location and speed but you only get a 8GB micro SD card in the box which doesn't store a lot of camera footage. The unit records on a continuous loop but for example if you get a speed camera fine in the mail and want to go back to check your speed on the day in question it would be likely that the footage would have been recorded over with such a small memory card. You can transfer the footage you can using the Garmin GDC player but transfering footage on to your pc takes a long time. Myself, I ended up purchasing a bigger 32GB micro SD card. You can use up to 64GB micro SD card but they are very expensive.
The only downsides are the suction cup mount can be a bit tricky to get good suction on to the windscreen. I also like to use the intersection/junction function a lot but to find it is very fiddly and time consuming and requires going to categories and scrolling right down to the bottom. As it is a truck model it can advise you not to go down streets that are restricted for trucks but not for buses. It would be nice if Garmin could have a bus/coach option.
Other than that I am quite happy with the unit so far
