  3.6 - Deep Cherry

Not worth the hype – I'd been intrigued by the promises Olia made but found it too expensive to replace my old faithful choice. However it was on offer so I decided to give it a go. This is definitely a case of style over substance. The method of having to squeeze both the developer and the colourant into separate applicator seemed inefficient and a waste of product. The completely opaque tubes meant you couldn't easily make sure you'd put everything from these tubes into the applicator bottle.

As for the applicator bottle itself, it is REALLY badly designed. I get that the big droplet shape is supposed to reflect the brand but it is so awkward to hold properly as it's so large and oddly shaped. It made applying the colour unnecessarily difficult.

The top of the applicator bottle didn't fit properly so dye was bubbling out of the join between the lid and the bottle, getting all over the place.

The gloves were black - again style over substance - so it was really hard to see where there might have been dye on the gloves.

OVERALL VERDICT:

The colour was okay. My hair didn't feel in any better condition for using an ammonia free product than using my usual, and the price means I will be sticking to my preferred brand / shade from now on. Not worth the money.
