Olia hair dye by garnier – I have used Olia for many years and it was ok. Since the pandemic I find it terrible. I have used dark brown (4) and because it became like black (after the pandemic. It seems they've changed the ingredients)I changed to number 5. Anyway, after two weeks the hair gets terribly dicolour with one and the other, looking almost as if bleached. I won't use it again and cannot recommend. Very bad quality.
Greasy, messy, and does not work – I've used this box dye for over 10 years with no issues. The new vegan formula is very runny and messy, leaves my hair so greasy! I have to leave the dye on for at least an hour to get any sort of reasonable coverage and even then greys aren't covered. Dye faded within a week and totally washed out within 3 weeks, and to top it off it is more… Read more
pricey than it was 2 years ago. This is not a permanent dye just a "cheap" temporary dye. Back to the salon I go!
From love to hate... what a way to destroy trust from loyal customers – It was my favourite hair colour for a few years until they changed the packaging and the formula. I contacted them to understand and they told me that they increased the oil percentage and that could be the reason why the hair has a greasy feeling after dying. I tried shampoing several times but even then, hair stays greasy and has a wet feeling,… Read more
like you would have applied some kind of gel. I am so disappointed. I will use the boxes I have left but will change to a new product. I cannot rely on this brand anymore as I do not want my hair to look dirty for a few days... it feels very uncomfortable.
Such a shame they changed the product – USE to be the best product I’ve ever used. The only formula use to leave it fresh and healthy, like I’d just come from the hair dressers. However, since they’ve changed the packaging they must have changed the formula because when I dry it, it’s almost like I’ve put an overnight oil through my hair. If I’m going out or going to work, I have to… Read more
now wash it at least twice to get the grease out. And sometimes within the 48 hours of it being applied. Meaning it doesn’t stay as vibrant as long and just washes away. What has happened?!? I only used to really wash my hair once a week. But now it’s sometimes 3 times a week. Dry shampoo doesn’t even cover it.
Please don't buy this product – It was a very good product. I was using it for year but now I think they changed the formula. After applying the colour the whole texture of my hair changed. It is so sticky and dead now... It's a humble request if you want to save your hair don't buy this product at all!!!! Show details
Nightmare packaging – The first issue is the grey coverage. It doesn't do a thing in the prescribed time so I left the tint on for extra few minutes that resulted the colour over-developing to black everywhere else but the roots where it remained kind of orangey-brown. The second issue is the packaging: with osteoarthritis in the hands, it's impossible to squeeze the… Read more
stuff out of the slippery over-sized (to look more) and rigid plastic container, so I have to cut the end off with a scissor and scoop the developer cream out with a pop stick. The gloves are very slippery too and one pair is not enough. When it's on sale for half price I still buy it because it doesn't contain ammonia, smells nice and the conditioner makes my wrong colour hair shiny at least.
Doesn't work - no colour after leaving it in for 40 minutes. Contacted customer service UK - terrible experience, – I mixed the colorant and the developer cream together in the bottle, shook well and covered all my hair with the product from root to tip. I left to develop for 40 / 45 minutes and then rinsed out and applied conditioner. There was almost no colour in the shower tray as I rinsed out my hair which was the first surprising factor. The second… Read more
surprising factor was that there was zero change to my hair - it looked exactly as it had done before I put the colour in. I've been dying my hair at home for over a decade and have never experienced this issue before.
Contacted customer service in the UK. The were really slow to get back to me. In the end, no satisfaction. They wouldn't replace the product. Never again. Go elsewhere!!!
Hair dye – I'm allergic to all ammonia hair dyes I used the Olia hair dye and have stuck with this brand as I love it and am beyond happy with the result Show details
