Very disappointing. Hair was so dark after colouring and following instructions to the letter. Then, ironically, after 2 weeks it started to fade; 4 weeks later, hair back to the colour it was before I used this product and it's not cheap. I wash my hair twice a week so it's not because of too much washing. Will not buy again. Show details
Bad product – Garnier Olia became very bad. I used it for many years and it was OK, but now it is almost impossible to rinse off, both - the colorant and the conditioner. There is so much oil!!! Why Garnier done this to a perfect product - just to spoil it? I gave a last try to it today, thinking, that just bought Olia is different, but it is even worse! I… Read more
washed my hairs with shampoo twice to get off that silicone feeling on my hairs, waisting so much water!!! Enough is enough! Will never buy this rubbish any more.
This is the nicest hair colour I have used – There is no strong odour. The instructions are precise. There is enough product. The gloves are good. It covers grey well. It actually lathers when rinsing off and suggests you shampoo. The conditioner is lovely and enough for a few treatments. I have been colouring my hair for decades. I used 5.3 Show details
Leaves my hair oily – I don’t have any misgivings about the colour or grey coverage, but, I am finding my hair is left oily and limp looking no matter how much I rinse the colour and the conditioner. I have to wash my hair again the next day. Not happy! I have 2 more boxes of this dye and then that is it. Will have to find another brand. Show details
Great for sensitive scalp – I recommend this product, I am very happy with my result. Show details
Used to be great – Used to be great and have used for about 10 yrs but the last few I have bought have been awful and have left my hair with an oily coating. This means that I can't go out as you really shouldn't wash your hair for 48hrs. Will be looking at other brands. Show details
It use to be great, but not with a new package – I use this colour for years. It was great and i like .But with a new package come the problems. The mix is strange and unpleasant green colour, more liquidity. Hair after dying looks flat and dead! I think the part of the in the white bottle should be in dark packaging like before. Show details
Much darker than box shade – Naturally shade on box, but this dye within 6 minutes begun turning my white hair very dark -- much darker than the box shade. Scary how quickly it turned very dark. Do not recommend. Show details
No grey coverage. Colour lasted 2 washes then went orangey red – The product was easy to put on. I was enticed by the 'no ammonia' and didn't want to damage my hair. I am 35 , and naturally have chestnut brown hair. I have some greys that I wanted to cover but not many. After washing it, I was really happy - lovely colour, felt healthy too but after 2 washes the colour washed out - my greys were all visible… Read more
again or went light orange, and the top of my hair went orangey also. It doesn't look terrible, but it's not what I would expect from a permanent hair colour, and one that claims "100% grey coverage"
Disappointing – I dyed my hair with this hoping for grey coverage and that soft glossiness that a usual dye job gives. I liked the colour this gave me, but it is SO dull. It's like the hair is sucking the light in rather than reflecting it - no gloss, no shine. Additionally, the grey coverage was poor. You could clearly see my greys even when the hair was still… Read more
wet. i can't speak for how long it lasts as I only used it last night but most reviews I've read have panned it on that front too. I'd avoid this one.
Poor grey coverage – Used this hair color in good faith thinking it would live up to its promises being a reputable Garner product Well... I will never waste my time again on this so called permanent color. The grey coverage was great for 2 washes and now it has completely washed out after 2 weeks. Tip.... don’t waste your money and time on this product!!! Highly disappointed
Great colour results and soft hair - no damage – I used 5.3 Golden Brown a few days ago on my bleached blonde balayage hair which was VERY damaged at the ends, breaking off and snapping when wet. My hair is thick and just past shoulder length so I used two boxes. The chemicals didn't smell awful as they don't contain ammonia. It's a SEMI PERMANENT colour, which came out wonderful and shiny,… Read more
but a bit lighter on the bleached parts (which is what I wanted anyway) so not a solid colour. I know the colour will wash out and fade faster than a permanent dye, but it's 100% worth it as the hair damage is significantly less.
My hair feels a lot softer and isn't breaking and snapping like before, so I'd say adding the colour molecules into the strands (ie dying my hair) and using the conditioner have improved the health of my hair. Also when I dried it with the hairdryer (which I rarely do) it dries a lot faster than when it was plain bleached and still feels soft.
I have also used 3.16 Deep Violet and 4.62 Intense Deep Red a few years apart with amazing results. Bright vibrant colours which are super shiny and always soft hair. The colours didn't wash/fade too quickly as I used a red shampoo when I had red, and mixed purple manic panic dye with my conditioner to give the purple a pick-me-up every so often.
