2011 Giant Boulder 3 - A Solid Bicycle – Bought this 2011 Giant Boulder 3 (Black) new as I had out grown my other, older bike. A solid bicycle. It's only equipped with Shimano Tourney front and rear derailleurs, but they've held up reasonably well enough, and change just fine. The saddle is comfortable enough to ride with, but after 3 years, there is a small tear on the edge of it. Nothing that a new saddle wouldn't fix.

It's put up with plenty of abuse - countless curb hops, multiple skate park adventures etc, so I can safely say that it is a well made bicycle. One thing, the chainring guard cracked after I carelessly went over a log. Saved my bacon though; without it, the top ring would have been stuffed.

I've rode it to and from school everyday for the last two years and it's held up well. The little bits of clear plastic on the shifters has gone yellow from the sun, but they are still usable/viewable.

I have taken it on to trails, but nothing overly strenuous on the bike. Easy to clean too.

I got mine when it was on special for I think $385. Decent value considering what you get.

The bike is fun to ride whether it be on the road or on the trails.

Quick specifications:

- Shimano Tourney TX31 rear derailleur and TX51 front derailleur

- RST Capa T 80mm travel front forks, with pre load adjustment.

A solid bicycle. Affordable, Well equipped, Reliable, Well made Tyres are somewhat narrow (1.95), Rear derailleur is sometime temperamental
