Gloria Jean’s Coffees Hazelnut

Flavour and aroma is addictive – I only drink coffee straight: no milk or sugar, and the subtle flavour of Gloria Jean's Hazelnut ground coffee is truly delicious. It is not overly sweet and definitely not harsh or bitter, and the aroma also adds to the pleasure of your coffee break. When I am nearing the end of the pack I will use 50/50 with ordinary ground coffee to make use I… Read more
don't run out completely.
It is not always available in every store, so I buy extra packs for a friend who also enjoys this delightful coffee.
lovely cuppa – Aromatic and not too strong. When you want a hint of something sweet. Easy to make using the French press.
Bad service - GJ parramatta westfield ground floor – After we placed our order for take away coffee x 2 we provided the loyalty coffee card stamp which was one away from getting our free coffee. A young girl who claimed to be the manager, cashier failed to serve us our free coffee advising the cards is no longer valid. Our argument was if it is not valid why there is no notification anywhere in your… Read more
shop? We asked to speak to the owner, instead she called westfield security, how embarrassing. We contacted head office they only send us two vouchers for any drink, not sure if this is going to accommodate the humiliation and bad customer service we received. She was rude stating I have never seen u here and I'm not giving you the coffee. Not considering that we use to go there every second Saturday after our breakfast.
On the same day we used the card at another Gloria jeans and no questions asked received our free coffee. One chain different rules bad business Coffee Price, service, one chain different rules
Coffee with all the trimmings – Getting a coffee for me and the kids during a particularly eventful shopping trips was a god send - being able to sit down in this little oasis of calm, have the staff provide some great service and help keep the kids in check was wonderful. I couldn't be happier and I'll definitely be back - thank you Gloria jeans Service, coffee, banana bread
Tastes like sweetish hazelnutty dirt – I purchased this coffee knowing there would be two outcomes: (1) it will be the yummiest hazelnut coffee to make at home { but highly unlikely } Or (2) it will taste like the majority of Gloria Jeans coffee which, as a rule, generally tastes like dirt. The coffee granules were thick and clumping, with me wondering if any moisture has… Read more
gotten into the packaging before I opened it. It isn't vacuum sealed like most other coffees, so I've learnt my lesson there.
It brewed with minimal creme, another sign of poor quality coffee.
It's states that milk compliments the flavour, I find it actually dulled the flavour and is better made stronger.
So, like all Gloria Jeans coffe, this was an over priced disappointment. I won't be purchasing again and I'll buy my regular Oxfam brand, and have the moccona flavour infused instant coffee when I want a hazelnut coffee
Over priced, clumping granules, poor packaging, minimal creme, tastes like dirt
Give Your Cappuccino A Taste Lift – I find that it doesn't matter which medium roast ground coffee I use at home to make cappuccinos, - they all taste pretty much the same. That probably isn't a bad thing, but sometimes you wish for something a bit different. I recently bought a 200 gram pack of Gloria Jean's Hazelnut Praline ground coffee, for a tad less than $9 at Coles. Not… Read more
all Coles supermarkets sell Gloria Jean's, by the way. E.g. Manly, doesn't.
It is obvious from my observation that the fastest moving Gloria Jean's coffee at Coles, is Hazelnut Praline.
So, I was eager to try it out as soon as I got home.
Yes, immediately, the difference is experienced. The taste of hazelnut is quite definite, yet subtle, so as to make you think the flavor is absolutely natural.
It is refreshing to be able to make cappuccinos that stand out from the usual.
The following week I bought the Caramel flavor, and it too is quite distinctive. This one has a strong caramel aroma, - even the grounds when discarded still carry the aroma.
But of the two available in supermarkets, I feel more will like the Hazelnut Praline than the Caramel. And I noted it didn't seem to sell nearly as well.
Actually, I am glad to have the two, but feel I will be re-buying the Hazelnut Praline very often. The subtle but definite difference in taste.
