Good heater for small spaces – I use this heater for the nursery when my son is using his JJ in the doorframe during winter and it efficiently heats up the entire room and keeps both my son and I warm and cosy. It is somewhat energy efficient at a 3 star energy rating and is overall a good heater for the price I paid for it.

Goldair Ceramic Tower Model GCT400 – This is a very compact and light weight unit. It stands on a square plastic base around 12cmx12cm. The body is compact and oscillates through 90 degrees. The instructions say to not have any objects closer to it than 1 meter away in all directions around it. The heat generated pushes directly in-front of it and then curves upward toward the roof. This means you have to stand at least one and a half meters away from the front of the heater.

I use this heater in a large L shaped lounge room (7m x 8m). Its 2000 Watts of heating will increase and then maintain the temperature in a large room in under 15 to 30 minutes.

It comes with a LCD current temperature readout and a small remote.

The 2 fans do make noise but its not really an issue.

I would probably not recommend it for children and animals. The kids could easily move it so it could then burn fabrics and furniture or burn themselves by just standing in-front of it.

I am happy with it as a backup lounge heater.

Heats the room quickly – PROS: Relatively attractive, a nice oscillating feature, cheap plastic but functional remote, clear temperature readout on the display, heats a decent size space quickly, the tip-over switch works really well, powerful fan. CONS: The fan is loud... really loud... definitely not suitable for the bedroom. If you don't mind cranking the TV or Stereo up its okay for the lounge. I'm not sure that the thermostat cutoff thing actually works, or if it's actually a cutoff thing because the instructions are so terrible, I'm still not 100% sure what each "mode" does either :-) Also, at $120 it's probably a little pricey.

All up, it's better than the heater its replacing as it heats up my lounge room in about a quarter of the time. Given the choice I'd buy it again.
