Goldair GFH262

Lasted one winter – When it worked, it did the job I needed. Heat up my second bedroom which is my WFH office. It gets very cold in there so I needed a small heater. I tried to use it again as the temp was getting cold and it turned on for about 30 mins before completely shutting down and wont turn on with any powerpoint again. So I guess this is the end of its life.… Read more
Would have liked it to survive at least 3 winters but hey, $15 is $15. Also I think my power bills were pretty high when I used this constantly.
Don't do it! – I don't understand how anyone can think this heater is worth the plastic it's made from - let alone the money spent on it. It is so noisy, it vibrates on the wooden floor, it smell like burning plastic every time it starts, and it blows almost no hot air at all. Most of the time you can literally hold you hand against the front of the heater -… Read more
with no fear of it being warmed (let alone burned). And I don't even live anywhere cold. It would be completely useless for anything but the mildest chill. I wish more people had written honest reviews so I could have read them and saved my money.
Overheated and burnt smell spreaded throughout the house – This product stopped working in 3 months. Firstly the safety switch was broken. Then one day while it was turned on at full speed, the product was overheated, and suddenly it stopped and the burnt smell spreaded throughout the house. It is now safely disposed of. Heating doesn't work – Only had it a few weeks liked it, turn it on tonight and heating doesn't work, worked this morning so not sure what happened but disappointed otherwise I really have been happy about it, it cost me $29 dollars at Big W, I don't usually complain so I'm terribly sorry for bothering anyone Show details
Cheap and cheerful – When I first saw this heater at Big W, the words 'Quality' and 'Reliable' were definitely not very high on my list to describe what this product would be. But the price was too hard hard to ignore and at a paltry $15 was worth a try. To my amazement, I was very surprised to see how well the Goldair performed. For such an inexpensive device, this… Read more
little heater has great consistent heat output, enough settings to suit my needs (Hi/lo/cool) and is pretty much klutz proof (will turn off if I accidentally knock it over). I've located mine in my bathroom, to use after getting out of a hot shower during these cold winter mornings.
Goldair has certainly changed my opinion of their brand and I look forward to trying out other products from their range.
$15 heater that does everything you need – Pros -quick to heat up & you can stand from a distance and still feel it, provided you choose the appropriate fan strength -consistent output of heat with no reasonable chance of burning yourself, even on the highest settings. beats using radiators which feature exposed metal conductors -configurable thermostat -configurable hi/lo/cool fan… Read more
settings
-simple, easy to use
-safe settings. designed to turn off when tilted and permanently disable itself if it falls onto its side
Cons
-may take some time to heat up an entire room
-not viable for whole-house heating, but honestly if you were looking for that functionality from a $15 heater i'd call you a smartbutt
I used mine for changing in the early winter mornings - it works well when you have it elevated to hip or chest height on a shelf. When electricity consumption was less of a consideration I used it to heat up the room without issues. By far the best heater at this price point. :)
Great product with cheap price! – I bought it in BigW. It cost me only $15 dollars and I believe it's a reasonable price. If you can't bear the cold winter, and you don't wanna spend too much on a heater, this is your best choice. However, the noise is little bit loud and the electricity consumption may be the problem.
