Tried them today and found them to be very disappointing and really don’t taste anything like a banana bread flavour. Golden why change from the original recipe that has been around for decades.
Purchased in at Coles for $5.
Looked inviting, as I love both crumpets and banana bread. I put honey on them after toasting, they were absolutely awful tasting, plus they stunk my kitchen out with some sort of burnt, sickly sweet sugar smell. Had one, the other five were filed in the rubbish bin. Not a fan here I'm afraid.
