Ok, I am writing this review because the seller was unable or unwilling to back up their claimed function of the "industries highest powered motor at 3.75hp" within the GREENIS FGR-9800 model. It seems I am the odd one out here with this review,… Read more
but I am honest and, am I the only one paying attention to the details?
My FGR-9800 arrived recently and I noticed a few irregularities.
Firstly. No warranty paperwork and No warranty registration considering its up to 5 years, Nothing anywhere of any kind, nor any purchase paperwork.
Secondly. I looked at the id sticker and noticed it's only rated at 1400watts not the advertised 2800watts peak.
So I contacted Super Foods Australia straight away, they said; warranty registration or paperwork is not offered, just contact them if I have a problem within 2 years for components of 5 years for motor? Whilst also admitting they have had some rare motor failures. This does not sound reliable at all! considering where's your proof of purchase down the track for a Chinese made item.
Then I questioned the 2800w / 3.5hp rating; turns out this is just marketing. Their reply stated; They only show the manufacturers provided specifications. Stating it operates at 1400w. Then I really questioned the 3.75hp as advertised, they were unable to back this up at all. In my opinion, It appears it could be an overload test measure point and not the true operation rating of the motor. Making it only 1400w equal to a 1.8hp unit. If it can run up to 11.7 Amps it's got to be rated as such, 2800w Furthermore the specified 3.75hp / 2800watts is over 10 Amps and would require a 15a power plug and socket. Which it does not have, making their claim even worse.
Super Foods Australia's claim of 3.75hp / 2800w rating is completly unsubstantiated.
My three attempts to them for any back up to this claim were totally unsuccessful. Photo of actual power rating sticker I have supplied
The unit is packaged well, arrived very quickly and is fast and furious, BUT it is NOT up to 3.5hp in operational capacity.
Also, I almost forgot to mention one other quirk, There does not appear to be an off switch??
Follow-up · Unit goes into sleep mode after use, i was never able to figure out how to turn it off. Not having an off switch is sometimes weird. For extended interval times without use I switch it off at the wall socket. Operator guidelines booklet was supplied with the delivery. Blender operation is good, I only use the front control knob for operation, not all the preset top control options. I only wish I got the power I thought I was purchasing.
Great blender machine! – This blender is AMAZING. It can blend anything to a smooth texture. Nuts and frozen fruits are not going to be problematic and it is very easy to clean. I highly recommend this to others who are looking for a high quality and high performance blender.
Affordable Top in Blender – The Greenis blender is a stylish design, very powerful and very easy to use. It has preset blending programs and a pulse function. You can also set the speed manually with a dial. Amazing price for a quality machine!
Super happy with my purchase – This blender is high quality, super easy to use and really high powered. One of my best appliances.
Love it! – My Greenis Premier is a beast. Top speed is like a hurricane. It looks great, feels solid and feels like a high end blender without the high end price. Makes great, smoothies, nut milks, nut sauces, scrambled eggs. Good machine.
Best blender I've used ever – Strong motor and relatively low noise. Machine stays in place while running. Manual selections or preset programs via touchscreen, which free me up to do other stuff. Easy to clean and smart looking design. Good value imo @ $369.
