please bring back – please make this again, it is the best product, only thing that works, worth the smell. Show details
Why Stop Making and Selling a Perfect Product – I have dry sensitive skin and the Greenridge Chickweed Compound is excellent for rashes, bites and hard to heal cuts and bruises. A little goes a long way and as I usually purchased two jars at a time, I've just realised that it is no longer available. Why, Oh Why!! Show details
The only thing that works – Please bring this product back. It was the only thing that worked on my kids. When you are desperate the smell is the least of your worries. Just because some people who have the luxury of changing product leave stupid comments about the smell please ignore them! Bring this product back please I am desperate. Show details
The smell is horrific and leaves the skin stained brown! Why change such an amazing product to this! So disappointing! – The former product worked brilliantly but this new product is terrible. It smells so horrible and leaves your hand with the smell for ages. It also discoloured as the irritated area. No relief has been had. It’s so disappointing that they changed this product that worked brilliantly before. I absolutely love their other products and I am just in disbelief that this one has disappointed me so much. Was the BEST - But new formula is terrible – I don't usually leave comments like this, but people need to be aware it's not the same as it was a few years ago. The original Greenridge Chickweed ointment was perfect, mildly sweet-smelling natural nutty scent, perfectly gentle on sensitive skin due to eczema, or other areas of the skin that get dry and cracked. It would keep skin at perfect… Read more
level of nourishment with no itchiness or dryness, nor excessive stickiness. The ointment was clear and not noticeable on the skin. When I would apply it I would always stop and smell the jar because it was just so lovely. I really want more of it, I only have a few applications left which I am savouring. The original I would have given 5 stars and a great review, like others have here from some years ago. The *new* formula is now called Thursday Plantation Chickweed ointment for eczema and psoriasis. This formula absolutely wreaks, its odour is quite offensive, one of the worst I've smelled for any kind of body product or medicinal ointment. The stench lingers. Smells like you've got something wrong with you. The ointment is also 'spicy' on sensitive skin, feels like the sore skin is being pricked by many small needles as you apply this ointment that is supposed to calm it down - it's very strange. Once its on, it still doesn't give relief, you can still feel mild itchiness. After it has dried it then gets flaky and very itchy. Due to the new formulas dark colouring, it creates dark patches on the skin where applied (looks like you've rubbed mud into your skin and dries even darker, it looks dirty, again like something is wrong with you). If you then go to scratch the itching that occurs once its dried, which is hard not to do, you will have the dark coloured flaked off ointment left under your nails, which also looks dirty. It's so disappointing in so many ways. Why ruin such an amazing product? Why not keep the original and offer this new one also?
I contacted the company (Thursday Plantation) to find out if indeed this new concoction was the replacement, and they confirmed it is.
Have used the compound for more than 20 years and can't live without it – this compound has been very effective in controlling my dermatitis it is a pity greenridge have discontuied it. so disappointed. why have you stopped making it. the ointment is no good- too greasy and not strong enough!
The chickweed gel of the same brand is *fantastic* for psoriasis – My son has psoriasis and nothing helped; he was prescribed steroids, but a friend suggested trying Greenridge Chickweed Gel first and it's like a miracle cure. He puts a tiny bit on every night before bed when he gets an outbreak, and after three nights it's invariably gone. Fantastic stuff!
best cream for eczema – My eczema was so bad it got infected but my mum found this as well as the chick weed gel. The compound smells a little but if u mix it with vegesorb moisturizer its the best thing to put on ur skin. I put a tea spoon of thr chickweed compound in a similar sized jar and fill the rest with vegesorb and the mix it. It has healed my skin back to… Read more
minimal out break and its doesnt scar ur skin like steroid creams. Use the chickweed gel once ur skin is settled. Honestly amazing stuff!!! looked for 20 years for something to help and this is the only thing!
