I purchased this Greenworks 60V Pro lawn mower from Mitre 10 on 5 December 2024 for normal domestic use. Unfortunately, my experience with its reliability has been very disappointing. The mower initially developed significant vibration, abnormal noise and poor cutting performance. It was assessed under warranty, I was advised there was an issue with the blade, and the repair was completed under warranty.

However, shortly after getting the mower back, it developed another problem. I returned it to Kingston Mitre 10 on 28 July 2026 for a second warranty assessment.

On 13 August, I went to the store for an update and was advised that this time the problem is more serious and relates to the motor. I was told that the entire motor now needs to be replaced.

What concerns me most is that I have also been told there is currently no timeframe for how long the repair will take, so I simply have to continue waiting.

For a mower purchased less than two years ago, I find it very disappointing to have already required one warranty repair and now be facing a second significant repair involving replacement of the complete motor.

I requested a replacement mower rather than another repair, but this was declined.

I understand that products can occasionally develop faults and that warranty repairs are sometimes necessary. However, I would reasonably expect a mower of this type and price to provide reliable service for considerably longer before experiencing repeated problems of this nature.

At this stage, my rating reflects both the reliability issues I have experienced and the fact that I am without a working mower again with no clear repair timeframe.

I will update this review once the warranty process has been completed and depending on how Greenworks and Mitre 10 ultimately resolve the matter.

Purchased in at Mitre 10 for $1,500.

Purchased Greenworks battery operated lawnmower with a Blower and Trimmer plus bonus chainsaw. As most other people's reviews, I can now understand why they wish the mower could reverse, as the unit is heavy. The selective turbo is an interesting option; the mower can take off (great workout keeping up) using the normal speed is perfect. I find this mower is much heavier to negotiate comparing to my other battery mower. I'd be in trouble if this wasn't self-propelled. Catcher is a perfect size, clips off and on easily. Batteries hold their charge very well on front/back large lawns, even when having to use the Trimmer first. Blower also has a turbo button if needed and makes life easier cleaning up, very powerful. As for the Trimmer it is easy enough to use, cuts could be neater but I'm guessing it's the operator. Chainsaw is amazing cuts through logs like butter, fairly quiet and easy to handle. Batteries charge up quickly, seems the charger has a cooling fan whilst battery is charging. The batteries are heavy but if this kit lasts longer than my other brand, I'll be very happy.

Purchased in at Total Tools SA for $1,499.

I purchased this bundle on 6th Sept '24 but left it so long to review to ensure it would stand the test of time. I spent 2 years thoroughly researching which electric lawnmower to purchase and was finally tossing up between the Milwaukee and the Greenworks. I obviously settled for the Greenworks which was due to the price factor and I am so glad I did now. This bundle includes the 51" self propelled lawnmower, a line trimmer, a blower, 2 batteries and 1 charger and on redemption I received a 16" chainsaw. The only down fall I have found with this whole kit is that I didn't actually make the purchase sooner. I can't fault the lawnmower whatsoever. If I was to find something it might be the handle is fairly easy to mark if scrubbed up against a tree, fence or post etc. but as to performance, for an electric mower this thing is a beast and will handle a lawn with ease. For the record, my lawn isn't all grass it has weeds and holes where my dog has dug so I've certainly given it a good test. The blower is powerful and the line trimmer works well. I wish I got rid of those smelly fumes and petrol powered devices so much sooner as I can't fault any of these products at all. 2 batteries come with this kit, a 6ah and 4ah. Although it would have been nice for 2 x 6ah batteries instead I'm happy that this is enough for me to power through my 1000m² block. The 6ah will last 45 minutes and take 30 minutes to recharge whilst the 4ah will last 30 minutes with 15-20 minutes to recharge. The mower will also switch batteries when the first is depleted. I usually start with the 6ah and place this on the charger when it switches to the 4ah so by the time the 4ah is flat the 6ah is ready to go again. This works well when I also need to use the line trimmer and blower. I have seen the chainsaw and of course started it up but am yet to put it to good use. From what I can tell it appears to be sturdy and powerful for its size. If you are umming and arrring as to buying an electric mower or not I can only say you can't go wrong with the Greenworks. Do it, you will not regret it!
